i was addicted to opiates and other drugs, but i was never violent to anybody - just because you use doesn’t mean you’re an abuser.

So her lawyer is saying,Amber can physically and mentally abuse Johnny because he was on drugs and drank? Makes no sense 🤔

I hate this for him. 15 months of "marriage" crushing a 40 year career.

This lawyers first point is so dumb. He wanted to disprove Depp’s question “why would you hit someone to get them to do something?” by saying “Your dad hit you and you were happy to do what he asked” … BOOOY that’s your point???

How cruel to take a picture of him on the couch asleep, with the melting ice cream. Who does that? Someone with major personality disorder. A loving wife would remove the container and get him cleaned and get him help.

Okay, Johnny Depp uses drugs and alcohol, he's admitted it. However, just because you use doesn't automatically make you an abuser. Her attorneys are focusing on his use and side stepping any abuse by him. Is it because there isn't a pattern of abuse by him?

Very telling they are focused on everything but the evidence of physical abuse

This case is huge for all of us men out there, who have been falsely accused of verbal abuse and mental abuse, and it being treated the same as kicking a woman's ass while in a relationship. Alcohol abuse by today's standards is having ONE beer every day for seven days a week, so what does that tell you about our system of diagnosis? My ex wife tried to paint the lie that I physically "Controlled the money", and "Physically abused her" with friends of mine that I'd known for decades, when we had only been married for three years. When she left GA, and went back to CA, and tried to push that story, they IMMEDIATELY called me! I told them the situation, and they straight away challenged her on her allegations. My ex's lies began to fall apart, and she had to disappear from the circle of friends I introduced her to, because she "Crossed the line". Fast forward five years later, my ex contacted me to say she was sorry for doing the things that she did and said what she said about me. Her life of living the "Balling" lifestyle was over, and she seen the error in her ways. She's MISERABLE now, and has been ever since. Ladies, DON'T DO IT!

You know Ive filed CPS reports as a teacher (mandatory reporter). I have had students become angry with me (because of their fear of their abuser). I know that Im doing the right thing when I hear this type of testimony. Sometimes reporting abuse may NOT be what the abuser wants but it may be what that victim NEEDS.

For the lawyer to say he’s saving the court time and he’s wasting time with this pathetic questioning is hysterical.... he’s taking the txts literal when the problem with txts is that they are always misinterpreted..... Amber obviously doesn’t have a leg to stand on so her lawyers are using anything that can be seen as a possible reason for someone to be abusive ,,,

If name calling is domestic violence abuse then everyone is guilty of it

I worked today so I’m starting from the beginning. I do not like her Atty and I don’t believe the jury will, either. He came on too strong, foo fast. Taking texts completely out of context. Jfc.

I watched this all day today. Now I’m watching again because this attorney is a joke.

JD is always saying he’ll change...but she never admits wrongdoing or says SHE’LL change...

Most of his cross was about him and what he was going through with her and his self but not about him abusing her, AH lawyers trying to depict him as an abuser by trying to discredit him & his witnesses.

I get the feeling that this is an unfair fight. I think she planned to accuse him so she recorded him in private whereas he’s always told her when he’s recorded her. I’m convinced she’s been abusive plenty of times that there’s no proof of. He’s always apologising and trying to make up, you don’t hear that from her. I feel for him. He got into a toxic relationship that brought out the worse in him.

I love the fact that he answers straight to the lawyer. He doesn't turn every time to convince the jury. His facts are straight.

It’s kind of vile for someone to talk about killing, burning, and then sexually violating his current fiancé, as well as referring to the mother of his children as a filthy c***. We don’t all use that kind of disgusting language. There is no universe where that is okay. High or otherwise.

Elton John has helped so many people with their addictions, he truly is a sweet person.

I stopped watching it earlier because JD is being harassed and mistreated by this freaking Rotten born lawyer and no one objects. Let the man talk, he's spending I suppose thousands or millions on this trial and they don't let him talk?!

WOW! Listening to this defense attorney is like listening to a dog with a bone, but knowing all the while it's not a bone, it's not even a nyhla bone. All we've learned is what we already knew.

it has been proven amber has plotted against johnny and did things to try to make him hit her so it would play into her bizarre plan. Even down to admitting she didnt want him to leave during a argument and would get physical if he tried. I saw the picture of her when he allegedly broke her nose, split her lip and blackened her eye. I have had a split lip and I had to get stitches, the lip was swollen etc and I have a scar due to that her lip is untouched in those photos. Her nose doesn't look broken in the photo there is no swelling in fact all anyone can see is a red mark on her cheek bone that was proven to be edited in some photo editing app. Johnnys security took pictures of him with swollen cheek bones, bruises, and scratches that were proven to not be edited. They have voice clips that johnny recorded since their marriage counselor told them to do that for therapy and she admits to hitting him, call him a baby and says he is fine due to the fact that he's gotten into fights before and he can take it. Pay attention to her expressions and body language as soon as her lawyer started in on johnny she's had a completely different expression, when johnnys lawyer was up there she looked like she was going to cry at all times it was a weird look now she just looks like she is more glad and look how johnny is being treated. He was trying to get better from substance abuse and she wasn't willing to be there for him properly. Destroying a room is not the same thing as abusing someone. She also said he raped her and stole her personal assistants story, who was also questioned disrespectfully and in a way that was basically him trying to make her answer him in a way that benefitted amber. Shame on Amber for doing the things she has done.

Since Ms Heard’s Attorney has named other Professionals re Johnny’s texts, do They now have the opportun- ity to Sue Ms Heard and/or Her Law Firm for revealing Their Personal Information?

They focused on the only thing they had evidence for,which wasn't even needed as it was common knowledge. Also their client was also doing the same things.

Poor Johnny, nobody is perfect yet that doesn't mean they deserve to be abused. He never laid a hand on her but Amber would drive anyone crazy, she's a terrible human being. The relationship was horrible and doomed from the beginning. Two terribly broken people that should have never married. I mean Johnny went through enough abuse as a child. The thing to keep in mind is he has Always had a drug problem. So in all the decades he has never hit any woman. He is like 60 right? Now drugs which his body is use to is now making him an abusive person? And all of sudden his abusive behavior DISAPPEARS after his divorce despite still being on drugs? Keep in mind he was in that marriage for a little over one year vs the decade or more he married to another woman who described him as shy and not abusive.

She did nothing to help him thru all his issues that didn't seem to affect anyone else(!) The recording they played today they ended the court session with was even poor acting on her part feigning concern and egging him on if anything. The other vid with him attacking his kitchen and not her while she even moved the camera to catch all of it well they should have subpoenaed the refrigerator to ask if it was abused by Mr. Depp (I've read that the video was edited). I believe the reason his defense team doesn't object is for the same reason you read the comments here and during live chat that support JD. Her attorney is acting like a jerk and shooting himself in the foot. A jury can see right thru a lawyer like that. And hopefully what she's done to JD just by the simple fact she was recording him. JD got him good once when her lawyer repeated a vague sentence and highlighted it in the PDF. JD goes 'Can you repeat that' lol boom Why did he hook up with her in the first place when he could have any woman the world is the real crime story and the $50 mil question lol

So her "team" of lawyers especially this one doing the line of questioning is very rude the fact that he's trying to hammer home how abusive he was so aggressively is uncalled for in my opinion🙄

I'm way out of the loop and am just starting to watch stuff from this trial, but just from what I've already seen, I'm really surprised by all the comments I've seen, especially from females. I can't count how many comments I've seen along the lines of what an angel, good hearted, generous soul Johnny is who somehow got completely swindled and tricked by this witch of a woman. And while I certainly think she is a mess and is lying about a lot of things, johnny hasn't exactly come off to me as some great guy or good husband.

Rewatching the cross. Her team knew they had no case and were so transparently desperate. They came across as being bullies in the playground. People that have been insidiously abused for years by a horrible person have every single right to vent to their friends about it and in the after math. I have no clue why his texts to other people - hearsay texts - were allowed in especially since she handed over nothing in that regard.

I really wish youtube had 3x or 4x speed because even at 2x speed this took forever.

It's funny how they have different images of text messages. I would discard all text messages if they aren't from screenshots of the actual text messages from the app

That it can be evidence in court is strange,- first of all it can be anything , it’s just the person who takes a picture of what’s there. I’ve said somthing about this before so it shouldn’t be considered credible evidence. It could be AH setting things up to blackmail JD……

Conclusion is that both had very toxic and abusive behaviors. What I didn’t expect is the necrophilia fantasies and for Paul Bettany to be involved in that 🤯

I was opiate abuser. Opiates generally made me extremely happy and laid back and the come down would make me sixk..to sick to fight. I couldnt even take a shower let alone beat someone up for hours.

I’ve suffered from opiate addiction and I have never ever hit anyone and just being addicted to the drug doesn’t make you an abuser except for maybe yourself. What he says is completely true, you don’t “black out” you drift in and out of sleep sometimes for hours. On the nod as he said anyone familiar with opiates will know this. For them to pull out his drug and alcohol use is so hypocritical considering what Amber was doing every day. Enjoying two bottles of fine wine that was $500 dollars a bottle. 160 thousand dollar wine bill. She admitted herself to taking Xanax, aderall, ecstasy, mushroom and whatever else she was in the mood for.
