I don’t agree with the sympathy for Amber. She manufactured so many lies including some really heinous allegations that had no merit. She never admitted to ONE act of wrongdoing and that’s all I needed to see. She’s a narcissist and deserves what’s she’s getting 🤷🏻‍♀️

So I have worked in the appeals department in the court for a few years. People usually appeal when they don't agree with the results, but in reality it should only be appealed if there was a mistake in the law. Also, there is no new trial. What happens is, both sides choose what will be combined into what's called clerks transcripts. That includes any filings or minute orders. They can also choose any reporter transcripts. The appeals department gathers all the information requested, they're called designations. All this has already been looked at, NO NEW INFO, and it's sent to a higher court where a court Justice will review it. If there was a mistake, they will grant the appeal and make changes to the order, otherwise it stays the same. And let me tell you, it is not very common for an appeal to be approved. Also, not to mention, an appeal can be very costly. The court charges per page and so does the court reporter, not to mention filing fees and what not. It's a lot. I've seen people pay tens of thousands on an appeal that in the end will remain the same. I have also even seen where, let's just say, someone appeals a 5 year sentence, it's happened where the justice will rule that 5 years wasn't even enough and actually adds time. So it can be risky at times and bite you in the end. So i don't know if Amber will decide to appeal. She might end up more in debt. But who knows. 🤷‍♀️

while I do not condone the abuse she has received. I have not one ounce of sympathy for her. As the sister of a brother who was a victim of DA I know the type of woman she is. it infuriated me when I watched her on the stand. her turned down face, the way she portrayed herself as the innocent little harmless women and how she would look at her lawyer during their questioning and to the jury during her cross examination. how she wore make up during the trial, except when she was on the witness stand, how she mocked johnny and his lawyers for 'smirking' while she was caught countless times doing the same. To know the levels a woman like her will go through to act like the victim is insane. I'm glad the jury saw through those lies and saw the evidence for what it was (the evidence she lacked immensely) she didn't have one friend who could corroborate her claims, just a sister who's emails, admitting to a friend, saying she would lie in court to protect her sister. Johnny had medical professionals, lawyers, police officers, and more as witnesses to his claims, he had the medical evidence to prove physical harm. All she had, was a photoshopped photo. She lied about the make up and the fact it was her that leaked the story to TMZ (despite her admitting to it on video, a couple of years prior) Johnny's lawyers got her to admit the lies about the divorce settlement donation and that the op-ed was written about Johnny based on how she wrote it and the wording used. to put it all together it's pretty much a slam dunk in my book (which it was.) I've watched the entire case on the Law & Crime RU-vid network and countless videos of behavioural analysis experts breaking down her cross examination and her 'tells' I'm not saying Johnny was a Saint, but the whole trial was not about Johnny being an 'addict' or swearing or abusing cabinet's. it was about proving his innocence and proving she defamed his character with her lies. much love from London, England ❤🇬🇧 PS, I thought it was sweet that Kate Moss was there backstage on one of the nights Johnny and his band were playing with Jeff Beck at the Royal Albert Hall.

This case has been going on for 6 years the trial was 6 weeks. But he sued her in 2018. So I think lawyer fees were so much more. They also did not have to be there.

I think she deserves everything that comes at her, it may be harsh but SHE LIED ABOUT DOMESTIC ABUSE. I don't think there is any reason to have an empathy for her, she chose her own road and lied about horrific claims. It's a set-back for men or women who are domestic abuse survivors. The only thing I wish for her is that she gets the help she needs.

I loved this! Also about the 10 million being low, I think the reason for that is that it had to be a number that she could realistically pay. So that’s probably why they decided on that number.

It wasn’t just a mistake that she made, she tried to ruin his life with very serious, sick, false allegations. She didn’t feel bad for her actions. She made her bed, now she has to lay in it. She should be serving jail time.

So, appeals only consider questions of law, which means they only consider what was objected to. In civil cases, if the losing party decides to appeal, they must pay the Court the amount (or maybe a bond amount) that you owe the winning party. Appeals are also expensive! The transcripts alone for a 6-week trial would be pretty up there (maybe $100k or more?)
