I met Johnny when he did a show for the troops at the Grafenwoehr Army Post Germany in 1977, he took me back to meet the band before the show, great guy. All the best buddy.
Jim Carruth One of the greatest voices in country music. I first heard Johnny Rodriguez on my car radio over forty years ago and I actually pulled of the road to listen. He like Cash, Willie and Hank have a true authentic country sound. Like many of the great artist they like us all have had demons to overcome in our lives. Johnny has overcome many and is still on the road preforming to packed venues. The road is long ,hard and often very lonely. Book it. Go Johnny GO!
I met Johnny about 20 years ago. He was playing at the casino. I was working at. And Jackpot, Nevada. He put on one hell of a show there. Quite a gentleman, and I will always remember it. God bless you Johnny.
I just watched an old episode of Adam 12 from the 1970’s and Johnny Rodriguez plays a motorcycle rider. I noticed it was him and I started looking up his videos. We always bought his albums back in the day. Glad he’s still busy👍🤠
Johnny's first few albums were a big favourites of mine , I wore them out and had to buy two of them again ! The session musicians on those albums were superb, Steel guitarist Pete Drake was brilliant.
Johnny Rodriguez was a great singer and entertainer to the Latino generation and we all love him for this but sad to say....aging has not done him justice
I met Johnny when he gave a show in our club. He is such a heart throb, such a very handsome looking man. When people get older, why do the have to loose their good looks? I sure will ask God that when its my time to leave this earth. Had no clue that he passed away. When did he die and from what? I hope I will get a responds to my question. Thank you and RIP Johnny. He gave a hell of a performance in our club.
I don't think he has passed away. He has a website. Just checked and there is nothing on there. I also saw him perform early 70's, when he was just starting out. Great voice and good looking man. Still love listening to his music.
@@sandym5027 Hi Sandy, yes I found out that there is another Johnny Rodriguez around. The reason I thought Johnny had died, was when I read comments and some said RIP. Johnny the real one is still alive. Thank you for responding.
Some years ago the band I was in stopped at a small restaurant - I think in Michigan although I’m not certain. Anyway there was a billboard stating that Rodriguez was appearing there that weekend. Damn. Tough business.
My best friend and I always loved you. We played you through high school and ever since. Our dream was to go to Texas and see you. Sadly we still haven't gotten to. ❤🤍❤🤍❤🤍
