Hi Richard, this is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you. However, I did not have the .csvt file created where I had saved my .cvs file. But I did not have any issues with performing all these functions. Any idea?
How did you QGIS read the csvt extension? My QGIS does not identify the variable type integer. I am already have the csvt file created. Any idea about this issue?
When creating the CSV file, choose make Windows Comma Separated in the specialty Formats. Windows terminates each line with a carriage return line feed, the Mac has only a carriage return.
A CSVT file is just a plain text file that you create with the extension .csvt. The file has a single line with the types for each column: "Integer","Real","String" Make sure there are no spaces between each , or type.
