Jokoy's comic brilliance comes from his truth. He's insanely funny because his skits are from his own reality and not something forcely made to come out funny. He is quite a story teller that's why people love him. His subjects are real life shit, so to speak. And people really dig stories they can relate to. All these becoming extra special because of his love for his ethnicity. You make us proud being Filipinos, Joe. You have all the right to be proud not just because of your achievements but because you were blessed to be raised by a very sweet and humble woman. ❤️

2 years ago, a co-worker suggested I watch Jokoy's Netflix Stand-up Comedy. Of ALL comedians I've EVER watched, he is the ONE to keep me crying from laughter the whole show! Everyone in the world is different and unique. It was AMAZING to hear someone else tell the SIMILAR and TRUE childhood stories. Being raised in a Single-Filipina Mom household makes all his jokes more believably funny! 😂😂😂 Jokoy and Dave Chapelle, my 2 FAVORITEs of All Time! 👍

The first time I heard about him, I was so anxious to hear about it personally. My children who are also half Irish, half Filipino were the ones who informed me about how deliciously funny he is and because they can relate to those experiences, it made them idolize him so much that they go and watch him his performance as often as they can. I am very impressed as to how he can actually make those cultural practices be a source of such a very funny and yet gloriously true part of our lives. I am very proud of him.

Lol! The sofa/couch seats seem to be wrapped in plastic. Every time she moves around you can hear the crunch-crunch from her plastic seat. That is such a Filipino trait! Many Filipinos still keep their furniture plastic-wrapped. 🤣
