What size fuse on positive and negative?

Actually I'm just now replacing my original Minn Kota mk230 two bank battery charger it's 15 years old I think it held up pretty well

Nice that is a nice idea I’m running a dual pro one bank for 8 years and I’m running the same battery as you an have had no problem with the set up

My Minn Kota 2 bank is two years and counting it is mounted in a compartment in my bow. I leave the compartment partially open while charging. On the lithium deal I operate a fish camp and see boats and fishermen every day no one seems to actually be happy that went lithium. Thousand dollars each and need a special charger. Their charger must first discharge the batteries then start charge. This means if you at third battery and about to do a full day on the trolling motor it will take 5 hours to charge vs an hour while your getting ready will get you through the day on conventional set up with 10 amp charging

For charging a single battery on my truck, my boat , and each of my motorcycles, I use the the cheap little automatic trickle chargers at Walmart I think one is made by Schumacher another one is EverStart brand and then there is battery maintainer brand all these little Chargers are less than $30 each and they are fully automatic which means they shut off when the battery is full charge. The charger either looks like a small box with a cord running through it, or or a ac-dc converter box that plugs into the wall. Point is the charger is not on the boat or the motorcycle or the truck and I can move it around to wherever I want to use it. I also have the two prong harnesses that you get with the charger (or you can buy them separately ) on each one of my batteries. I have one on my truck, one on each my motorcycles, and one on my Jon Boat. Whenever I want to charge the battery or Draw power from the battery I just plug up to that two prong plug and I'm in business. I don't have to mess with clamps or anything else. It also allows me to access my battery without opening the compartment that the battery is in which is real convenient on the motorcycles, and my Jon Boat

so you never have to pull the battery out ever or if you have 2 batteries dont have to just chargers all on the boat ?

Dude!! You need 2 batteries Brother….1 for your electronics and the other one for your trolling motor and starting your big motor…..don’t say I didn’t help you out with this BOI!!!! I use the quick connector instead of the clip, a long time ago I had those clips touch each other and the wires caught on fire.

On Board Chargers are the best!!

In30 years I only had one charger failure. Always grease terminal and check wires. That’s what makes them go out. Lithium only way to go. No speed increase but hella hole shot. Good luck

Hey dude if you just want to use an external battery charger you can buy one a lot cheaper than an onboard charger

Actually they do last in your boat if mounted correctly. I have had mine in my boat for around 8 years with no problems
