Jon Jones has never been beaten, hes still undefeated. He has gotten 1 DQ bc of an illegal elbow that shouldn't have ever happened. He is the best MMA fighter to ever do it.
I mean yes but when historians look at his record do you think they are going to say DC2 was a win? Or Hamill DQ? He could have easily been undefeated with better discipline.

Probably the greatest all round fighter to ever walk. This man was a walking weapon in his prime. No weakness in skills, dangerous at any range and ontop of all of it he's probably the best raw athlete to ever walk into the octagon with enough cardio to follow you to the hospital after the fight.
Justin Gaethje should be your next highlight reel. He has some of the best highlights ever and is a total savage! He was undefeated up to 18 fights but had some wars and lost them late in the fight but it is kill or be killed every fight. That's his mentality and why he is my favorite fighter!

JON HAS (14 WINS IN TITLE FIGHTS), AND HE HAS NEVER SUFFERED A REAL LOSS IN HIS ENTIRE CAREER. The only loss he has was a DQ when he landed an illeagal elbow on a guy he was destroying
The only argument against his potential GOAT status is, well, all the times he failed drug tests for PEDs. Aside from that, and two very controversial wins over Gus the first time and then Reyes, he is right there with Anderson and GSP as the 3 kings of MMA.

He doesn’t have the BEST BJJ, wrestling, kicks, etc. tho you can make an argument for iq and elbows. Best kickers are Aldo and Edson, best BJJ is Damien Maia, Charles, and this is dark horse choice but Mighty Mouse is SUPER underrated when it comes to grappling aspect. TLDR Jones is the closest to perfection due to balance and IQ but he isn’t THE perfect fighter, no one is nor ever will be

Cool discussing in the end. You guys should check out the first UFC events, where they did exactly that. Put specialists against each other. Then the fighters evolved to be more well rounded, with some strengths and weaknesses of course. One of the best early examples is Randy Couture vs James Toney.
Jones’ length and wrestling allow him to dominate people. Added with the fact that he fights very smart. Dude is a beast and one of the few who doesn’t go in there just to win, but to murder.
I'm Brazilian and I hate to say it, Jon Jones is the best of all time and he has nothing to say. I could say Fedor Emelianenko, Minotauro, Anderson Silva, Wanderlei, but there is no fighter as dominant and winning as Jon Jones.

Unless he fixes his biggest defensive strategy, which is to post out his lead arm and use his reach while moving straight back to avoid punches, he will get knocked the fuck out. Why do you think anytime jon fights anyone near his size, or anyone super fast and explosive like thiago santos, he gets hit. He has never fought anyone even close to the power speed and strength of francis. If he thinks he can just use the same defense he uses in every fight hes done

DJ the goat never tested for steroids ever, most title wins in a row ever. Anderson is number 2 because he only tested for steroids late in his career when his body was getting old. Plus most of the dudes he fought were on massive amounts of steroids. Jon is not on the list he failed for steroids multiple times in the prime of his career so that disqualifies him.

What’s crazy about the Alexander fight was that he wasn’t training for that fight. He was partying and doing coke (same with the first DC fight) a lot of people thought Alexander won so in the 2nd fight he actually trained and destroyed Alex
I'm not sure if you will see my post but I was wondering how often do you guys watch these UFC fights/highlights and do you ever watch and react to the women fighters. I love watching them! My dad and I watched UFC every time it was on. For years we did this together, he passed away 2 yrs ago and I sit and watch the fights by myself. I just found you guys and I enjoy your reactions, I feel I'm not alone anymore so thank you!
Nice reaction guys. You should definitely watch some dogs from oldschool Pride like Melvin Manhoef, Kevin Randleman, Fedor Emelianenko, Mirco CroCop, Fabricio Werdum... There were different rules, with some strikes illegal today, fights were much more brutal and with less doctor stoppages, although gloves were longer, more like K1 or Thai box style. It would be fun, to see you react on this sh*t.

Been an MMA nerd for over 25 years. For years the greatest talent to ever be seen was Fedor Emelianenko. Then it was George St. Pierre. Jon Jones without a doubt in my mind was the most skilled, well rounded fighter that I had ever seen til this day. Its unfortunate but he is a bit of a wildman and makes some really bad decisions. This has really screwed up his legacy and what he could have potentially accomplished even more so. With that being said I still think he is the GOAT as far as skill and fighting is concerned despite whats down on paper. Put him in with anyman lightweight to heavyweight and I would bet my bank account on Jon Jones.

Jon Jones story is actually a very sad story. He had more potential and raw skill than anybody to ever enter the octagon (imo). He just couldn't get his life outside the cage in order. This man could have been the greatest fighter ever, no questions asked. If only he could have kept himself out of trouble with the law and usada. Because his skillset work ethic and talent inside the cage were unmatched. I think he lost the first fight to Gustaffson, but you can never leave it in the hands of the judges especially in a title fight when you are trying to take the belt from the champion.
It may be sad but dude needs some accountability and more importantly genuinely learn from his mistakes. That is the only way to beat his inner demons.
2 best ufc fighters ever in my opinion is either jon jones. Apart from knowing there was talk he was using steroids, or gsp. In both of their prime they were absolutely amazing to watch. That's coming from a connor fan
He got lucky against Belfort. According to Vitor, he heard Jon's arm pop and loosened his grip just a little which allowed Jon to pull out. He said he regretted showing mercy and wished he'd just broke Jon's arm (I'm paraphrasing a bit).

That was a one sided clip with Jones vs Alexander Gustafsson.. that fight was so close that a lot of people think Alexander won that fight. He was the first man to ever really hurt Jon Jones
Prime Mike Tyson vs Prime Jon Jones would be an amazing fight. Tyson is accurate, fast, and incredible power. It only takes one. But Jon Jones is the ultimate survivor. And he is super creative. I don't know who would win.
In an mma fight Tyson would lose because he would get taken down. Ofc if Tyson landed a hard flush punch it might be over. In a Boxing match, Tyson would destroy Jones, or any other mma fighter.
Hi guys- so please take a look at DC ‘s highlights and Dustin Poirier….both from Lafayette - both UFC champions. DC was a double champion- 205/265- defended both belts. Jon- talented,obviously- but tested positive for steroids. Sonnen, also D1 wrestler in college- DC and Sonnen both made the Olympic team as well. Check out GSP highlights for technique,definitely.❤️
Nobody has the ferociousness accuracy and ability to destroy fighters like a controlled demolition other than JON JONES! Compare the strikes of Jon Jones to other fighters. Jones delivers strikes with no mercy, other fighters simply strike to land shots. Whether it's kicks knees or elbows, Jones strikes like he desires the strike to penetrate the opponents soul, others simply strike to win. Jon Jones is a merciless Tactician and glorious fighter.
Without the controversies he’s be an even more solid goat, but they do hurt his legacy. I go GSP for goat myself, but I think the ufc honestly has like 5 people who have a very solid argument for goat, unlike many other sports where it’s just two, and at the end of the day it comes down to personal preference.
