I've been spinning for 2 and a half years now I must have seen this video shortly after I started. I keep coming back to it thinking I'm going to be at this level and I still can't even follow some of the patterns he pulls off. Simply amazing.

Anyone who does not own a pair of pod poi and loves spinning need to make sure they grab themselves a set. Best spinner in the world today :) .. Or at least he's my favourite. He has technique, speed, finesse. And he does some tricks which I haven't seen any other spinners do EVER.

This guy is just amazing. Jonathan is by far the best poi spinner I've ever seen. His passion for it is just remarkable. He is one of the people that inspire me to do what he does. Now I've only got about 2 months of practice in. I only know how to do a few things with poi, but I don't have the combining part down yet. except for the three beat weave and bringing it into reverse. I can't wait to get my own poi so that I can get more practice in.

Wow awesome video. It really is such a SHAME that the real beauty and majesty of podpoi can't translate to video. I just got mine a few weeks ago and WOW they are effing GREAT! You are awesome man, keep kicking ass!

I was captivated by your style and flow though, you are a great spinner, camera work on the blur so you could only see the orbs was fantastic as well. Great Work the both of you. Your hybrids at 3.30 are insane!!! Ive been spinning for a few years and I cant do half of this stuff.. idk why but I just cant learn tutorials. I still love to spin anyway, especially at festivals! When I spin fire at festivals it feels so much different then say spinning in a buddies backyard. Like a completely different flow. Does anyone else feel that way?

Hello Jonathan, great video you have here, first class spinning for sure ^_^ If you would please answer a question, do you feel having a handle for your poi helps make your moves easier? Obviously it looks beautiful, but I am curious because I have been using single loops for a while now with now significant progress (probably due to lack of time but that is another issue). Thanks in advance for your advice, and thanks again for the awesome vid.

im not sure for poi but in glowsticking we call them handles and the glowsticks are tied at both ends. haha nvm i dont feel like im answering this correctly

I think that the swivels do cause a little bit of a hindrance to contact rolls. Swivels not only provide an ability to constantly tangle or orbital, but they add a kink to your rope that some people find annoying for rolls. THAT SAID!: I know MANY great contact poi artists who use swivels, so don't be discouraged. Just get used to the feeling and practice, practice, practice ;) I find that the biggest difference in contact besides the ball is the width of your cord.

I am not too big a fan of swivels. I like what they allow you to do, but I don't like how they put a kink in the tether. I am all about their 100mm, silicone ball pendulum poi :)

Well I am ordering another set of pendulum poi tomorrow from Home of poi and I already have a pair with swivels do you have any suggestions for what pair I should order?

So that is more a series of moves than it is one. It is a chart layout of diamond and box set with vertical and horizontal cateyes and extensions.

My thoughts just echo what most of the others are saying... thank you for inspiring me to take it to the next level - great vid, tune and your poi control = epic. That set up... sweet. Throws, stalls, anti spin this anti spin that... yikes... delicious :D

I had some questions about one particular move but was going to use the time on the video as I dont really know how to describe it. You make an ovuler move with the poi in split time at several angles. I was wondering how to achieve it.

I love watching your flow, its memorising, thank you for posting up. Ive just bought some pod poi and cant figure out the settings, the instructions arent clear, although it may just be me being a bit dim. Is there any chance you could do a vid to show how to use settings please? I want mine to go through the whole 20 settings (nocturnal) as im spinning. So my ideas reminded me of a video or conversation you had where you had gone around, introduced yourself, met People and handed out poi sets to random people. man, i seriously can't get enough of your mad skills lol. Your spinning is so clean and smooth! its so awesome! Id been stuck at a certain level of poi for a good while, but when I seen that promo vid you did for the pod poi the flowers one, it re-inspired me and reminded me of why i loved poi so much. The moment i got my pod poi, i suddenly was learning stuff again simply because i was having fun and flowing. Thats why i like your videos because you look like youre having a blast. much love

Would you consider making a video i really want to see???? i was wondering if you would make a video to Scary monsters and nice sprites, ive had this brain visual of the deep monstery parts being like red and and like wrappy...and then the nice sprites light part being a lighter color and maybe more open motions (sorry i dont know proper terms i just ordered my first poi today lol) ive been wanting to learn to spin since like 2008 but just finally decided to take action and do it! ramble over..

Your the best spinner i'v seen till date.. Yea I'm sure there are other spinners who probably have more technical knowledge than you but your style, transitions, choice of moves etc. are what make your spinning most pleasing to watch. Keep it up and May the Force be with you.

Asking me if they can spin my poi and of course I let em, even like to teach them. Anyways I'm thinking of cool ways I Could expose more people to poi without hurting my pocket too much. I was thinking socks with balloons filled with rice. Would be awesome to have actual poi but that can get expensive.

Jonathan! I need advice! do you think that that swivels get in the way of contact tricks? I just got a pair of the wrapsta glow in the dark pendulum poi from hop and I was wondering if they will be no good for rolls and other tricks like that?
