Quite possibly the best singer ever. I've listened to recordings of the best for the past 50 years. Very possible that Antoine is the very best ever. He's certainly the very best rags to riches story and the most humble, most caring, most human performer I've ever seen.
What always broke my heart is that this guy was obviously madly in love with the girl he starred with on America's got Talent but she was clearly not interested in him at all and just wanted to ride in on his coat tails for the fame.
How is it that a lad from London can make an old American like me cry over a song about going home to West Virginia, when I've never even been there? That's really going the distance!
I guess they are also streaming strong up here in France, and they will everywhere where one listens with the heart, because this wonderful guy sings from there: from his big great heart, and that is what one receives!!! Bravo dear Jonathan, please keep it up!
By far the most outstanding version of this song I have ever heard, John Denver had his own unique folkstyle delivery and was a master, But Jonathon Antonne 's classical version is like an Eagle majestically soaring over the mountains and the oceans shores. What a beautiful person and voice with a kind heart!!!
John Denver would be ecstatic on hearing this young man and his arrangement of Country Road . He takes me to another place where I find a peace I have never felt before.

Jonathan, love him, is the *only* singer I have ever heard in all my 79yrs, who can bring me to tears with that astounding voice of his, and I bless the day he had the guts to walk out on that stage in front of Simon Cowell and blew us all away.
So why is it that people somehow dont enjoy the supreme talent of Jonathan yet dont have the guts to say what was wrong with all these flawless performances??????

As a native born Mountaineer, Country Roads has been a favorite since it was introduced. This is, by far, the best version. I invite Jonathan Antoine to explore the Mountain State for himself. He will soon discover the majesty of a mountain home, applies to "home", wherever that may be. That, of course, is the reason an anthem about a small, oft overlooked state is so universally accepted. It's all about home. Jonathan is an accomplished artist. I'm sure he would enjoy seeing West Virginia first hand.

Another intresting fact is that I participated during World Scout Jamboree 2019 in West Virginia. This song was played even more than the song written for the Jamboree.
I was a Denver fan, and this song always made me feel homesick for Nova Scotia/Cape Breton. We all have a place that we keep in our heart, no matter how far we go or for how long, it's the home of our hearts. Please take a moment and think of the communities in Nova Scotia, who are having to go through so much horror on top of the current troubles.

Can’t stop smiling at this glorious voice. It’s hard to believe this confident, extremely talented man is the same timid boy we first met on Britain’s Got Talent in 2012. The way he holds the stage with both his commanding presence and his wonderful voice is just breathtaking.

Yes. He was at his lowest point. I can't imagine him being that low. If Charlotte hadn't convinced him to get on that stage. The rest is history. They got him help..look at that shinning face.
I have followed Jonathan ever since his (and Charlotte's) audition on BGT, and never in a million years did I think he would ever sing a classic American country song like this one. However, he not only sang it, he delivered an amazing performance with a fantastic arrangement in the process. Everyone has always said that "Jonathan has an opera voice," and that's true, but he has demonstrated that he can sing almost any song and make it great with that unbelievable voice of his. I'm so glad that he is finally getting the exposure and recognition he deserves, and I am definitely going to buy his new album.

The beginning of the COVID pandemic was the most wholesome I have seen the human race in 19 years. People did what they could to protect each other, and people of prominence, public figures banded together to get us through those tough times. I miss the feeling of humanity we all shared then.
The things that amaze me are that he seems to sing effortlessly (never forced) whoever arranges the songs he sings seems to have a terrific understanding of how powerful and pure his voice projects and wonderfully pure his tone and delivery are and how his sincerity and interpretation of the lyrics take a song to a level that is so rarely heard and the fact that he sings in any genre is such a treat.

I've watched Jonathan on youtube since Britain's Got Talent . He has a beautiful voice and an amazing gift. However, I really didn't think a young brit opera singer could do justice to an American country classic. I was so very wrong. Right in the feels. Well done Jonathan.

I remember when I was a young girl in the mid 70's as we visited Disney World. I sat on the ground in the front about 5 feet from John Denver as he sat on a stool singing Country Roads. My dad was born and raised in Salem, WV. My grandparents married and lived there and died there. I have family and relatives still living there and in West Union and Buchannon. Growing up, Daddy always took us there first. Growing up, it became home to me and in the early '90's... it became my home for 9 months. You can set my feet in the city, but the heart will always take you to where you truly belong. The mountains are my home... West Virginia is my home. Thank you, Jonathan.
