Jonathan Groff singing "Thank You for the Music" by ABBA live at The Cabaret at The Columbia Club in Indianapolis, IN. (October 13th, 2012 @ the 9:30pm show)
He sings wonderfully and with passion, he has a good sense of humor, he's got a kind personality and he is a great actor. He is charming and he can dance! He is brilliant.
I never knew how mush I needed Jonathan groff in my life until now... I'm just utterly obsessed with his voice/tap-dancing/yodeling/acting/hair. He is perfect.
Espanholina A Sonhadora it's been five months since you wrote this but I just found your comment... and I can't believe you called it, I never would have guessed that they'd end up together. You're a mind reader! haha
Ticamom haha thanks, to be honest when I wrote this i didn't think that would have happened, and now I'm so happy that they actually got together in the end!
Binge-watching all episodes of 'LOOKING', I have fallen in love with Patrick. But since there are only a few episodes, I started looking into Jonathan Groff and Hell, I've fallen in love with him too.
Really? I was at the show, and this was probably my favorite number in his set. He's just such a passionate and charismatic performer, and you could tell that every song he chose meant something to him. This stood out so strongly because you could see that he really felt and meant what he was singing - how passionate he is about his craft, and how lucky he felt to be standing there doing that. From that standpoint, it's just beautiful. I admire him so much.
I’m jealous. I know he has said a few times that he doesn’t have any interest in recording new music. Did you go see him as a concert, or how did he plan this as a show?
He's so talented!!! His voice is so perfect and his singing is so profound...absolutely exceptional! His voice is also so diverse! I mean, he can sing a Weird Al song and a Broadway piece and a balllad all in one hour and every note still be flawless.
I'm nothing special, in fact I'm a bit of a bore If I tell a joke, you've probably heard it before But I have a talent, a wonderful thing Cause everyone listens when I start to sing I'm so grateful and proud All I want is to sing it out loud So I say Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing Thanks for all the joy they're bringing Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music For giving it to me Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk She says I began to sing long before I could talk But I've often wondered, how did it all start? Who found out that nothing can capture a heart Like a melody can? Well, whoever it was, I'm a fan So I say Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing Thanks for all the joy they're bringing Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music For giving it to me I've been so lucky, I am the girl with golden hair I wanna sing it out to everybody What a joy, what a life, what a chance! So I say Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing Thanks for all the joy they're bringing Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty What would life be? Without a song or a dance what are we? So I say thank you for the music For giving it to me
Although I hear what you hear, I disagree that it was a bad choice. He didn't imitate the smooth and lyrical nature of the original song, but he acted the shit out of the song and made it truly enjoyable to watch. He is, after all, a musical theatre Actor.
