There are some certain parts of the Minecraft community that are surprisingly not cancerous, and the people of those said parts try to keep it that way too. You'll only find these kinds of people on small servers, though. As the big servers such as Mineplex and the Hive have already become shit holes for the fucking cesspools that are the pedos and brats of Minecraft.

Maybe it's because it made you try to be really creative with the limited selection and lack of any real story, making an almost literal definition of "sandbox." Maybe it was just the initial excitement you got when you first played it. I definitely hold something not unlike nostalgia for the older versions or Minecraft Beta. It just felt different.

It's still a great game. Like Asriel said, you can find smaller servers with decent people. On top of that, it's fun with just friends. If you have any, that is. I never let people ruin games for me. No matter how hard they try.
