It's not the world that's messed up, it's the sense of ethic of these particular journalists. They don't care how much they have to stretch the truth as long as they get generously paid by doing so. The only thing to do at an individual level to counter this, is to not click on these articles and try to convince other people to do the same. Ignore them at let them die.

>>Great video and some excellent tips! These are scary times for new investors but the best thing you can do is not to make decisions based on emotions. This could actually be a good time to buy more of your high conviction stocks or crypto on a discount. Wealth is created during bear markets, not bull markets. If your portfolio is really effecting your mental health then delete the app and go for a walk. Let the market do its thing and have a long time horizon. @Starlight Sun I use to smoke weed like 4-6 times a day , for maybe 4 years , which isn't that long , but it definitely did have an impact on my life . Yes ,smoking can relieve you from stress , open you to deeper thinking and all that , but in my experience, it also made me overthink a lot of stuff in life . It made me doubt myself and my abilities. It did make me lazy and it did help met become more depressed . Now, it wont always be the case for everyone , because I know of people that smoke and seem quite satisfied with life . But stopping made me more active ( I joined a martial arts gym) , my mind is much more clearer and I think much more logically about things. i have found a great girlfriend (not saying weed wont get you a girlfriend, but overthinking made me question every person i was speaking to) and overall , I just feel healthier , more driven ,more confident, more focused and more content with life . give it a go , stop for a month , work out a bit , and see how you feel.

I finished college with computer science degree in 2013 at the age of 23, but couldn't find work in that field since I didn't have the necessary 2 years of work experience to work, but I also couldn't get said exp without working. 3 years after finishing said college without any work, in 2016 I finally found my first ever job at the age of 26, but it was as a security guard ( which needlessly to say, has nothing to do with my chosen profession of IT guy). I worked at that company for 1 year and spent most of my work time guarding hotels and working from 10 to 24 aka. 14 HOURS SHIFTS 6 DAYS WEEKLY WITH ONLY 1 DAY FREE, but to get to said job I had to get up at around 7ish o'clock in the morning to drink some coffee eat something get dressed, get dressed in that horrible piece of clothing called uniform (which gave me itches and made my neck look like I was getting hickies nonstop from nonexistant girlfriends from wearing that horrible material) get to company location get the company car at 8:30 in the morning to get in time to my work place at 10, and ge back from work to my heaven ( bed) at around 1:30 in the morning, only to get back up in the morning the next day again in the morning at 7ish. Which means when you count in the travel hours, I was working 17 hours daily! Many times ( I've lost count honestly) I found myself waking up during driving back from work from exhaustiion and the shitty car steering into the ditch on the right, or to the left where by the grace of God Almighty no cars drove at those hours of the night. This was mobbing at its finest since my employer knew the work condiditons and that I barely got even this job, and that my financial situation was in the shitter and iI couldn't leave. At the end of every month I've had over 300 hours logged in, only to get paid 17 kn per hour ( around 2.29 euros or 2.66 USD per hour). I quit that job the first chance I ever had. Since I had no wor exp in the IT, no work was found, AGAIN. I've found another sec. guard job in 2017 with a company offering better working conditions and closer to home. I have no girfriend, all my friends and former friends are in happy relationships or either have one or two Mini-Mes running around, and here I sit aat my job writing this long ass shitty comment which nobody might read, with no perspective on how to fix my life. Needlessly to say, I'M DEPRESSED... EDIT. Since then Ive managed to change jobs again, and now I work in the local bank as the cashier. At least my highschool education in economics is paying of. The job is great, and its a miracle I managed to get it not even a week before COVID became a thing. The gf is still nonexistant unfortunately but I am hopeful. Thank you all for your comforting words. Know that each and every one of them got to me and helpt me deal with my situation. THANK YOU.
@Wsadef
@Wsadef 6 лет назад
I've read all of it. You might not have much work experience, but if you are interested in IT sector, so you should find a way to still develop your skill and practice whatever you've learnt. Downsize your apartment, stop spending money on unnecessary items. Sell everything that you don't use and start saving up some cash. Buy some sales books, like Grant Cardone Sell or Be Sold. Learn how to sell, because that's the only way you're going to get into a job, with no experience in your IT field. Remember there is only one person in this world, that can help you out in your life and that person is you. Good luck.
@whatactuallyhappens9857
@whatactuallyhappens9857 6 лет назад
Ive read all of it. I'm sorry man, but as long as you are still alive there is still something you can do about it. And perhaps if you are really doing the best you can, then maybe what you need to do is to figure out how to be happy in your situation. Perhaps there are some things, or some desires that you need to sacrifice. Maybe there are some things that you think will make you happy, but they are the very things that are holding you back. I try to be a good person. And what I think a good person must be is someone who has faith and belief that whatever the truth may be, then that is what is good for me and everyone. And ultimately I believe that no matter what happens, being fair and treating people the way I would want to be treated is of ultimate importance. My thought is, that maybe I could become a good enough person that I could make things better enough to ameliorate my suffering, and that of my family. That hopefully sooner or later, I will make things better. Hope this helps, and I hope that you can have a happy life man.

I think what he mend to say is that society doesn't learn you about how to become a better person. Society only learns you how to be productive and use your skills to create wealth. Not a single teacher or professor asks: WHO do you want to become in the future. They only are interested in WHAT you want to become. Which also is a fair question, because you need to make a living to survive. I, however, think that the WHAT question cannot be asked without the WHO question. In the not so very far away past, churches taught us who to become: love thou neighbor, forgive, do not hate, etc. etc. But with churches and other religious buildings closing all over the western world. People are starting to forget on which fundaments our societies were built. People have become lost sheep, the follow everybody in the pursuit of happiness through wealth. While true happiness comes from finding out WHO you really are and how you can make yourself a better person and then helping others to become better people. One cannot understand the world without understanding themselves.

My schedule monday-friday. I wake up at 10pm work 11pm to 7-8am. Have class from 9am-2pm and then do homework until I go to sleep (usually around 4pm) I don't really get a lot of sleep so if I get off of work early at 7 sometimes I'll take a nap before school. On the weekdays I have zero free time but sometimes my gf will come over when I do homework. The good thing about keeping my weekdays so packed is that by the weekend usually I have all of my work done and have 2 days of free time to dedicate to my social life and sometimes yard work and other things I need to get done.

This channel is about philosophy because most of the videos (this once not included) are about abstract philosophical things. Even then, this can also be considered philosophy. After all, the most effective help isn't sugar-coating reality, its when a philosopher whom is objectively wiser than you shakes you up and you accept that and pull yourself together.

Can you do a Video analyzing this quote “It is possible to commit no mistakes, and still lose” is it true or is it false? How can it be true if it is?
@AelfricBlack
@AelfricBlack Год назад
That quote is about life. You’re missing half of it. It goes “it is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness, that is life.” Life isn’t an assignment with correct or wrong answers. You can do your best and do everything right your entire life and then lose it all when a car runs you over at a red light. There’s circumstances. There’s more variable outcomes: you don’t really “win” or “lose” at life. Last year I made a mistake that cost me 4’000 euros. Because of that mistake I took a job that led me to a friendly environment full of awesome people that radically changed my outlook on life. Did I “win” off of a mistake? The point of that quote is to take life less seriously (picard says it to data), and do your best with what you have.

@Nicht von dieser Welt No, sorry. The logic, reason, philosophy, and science definitely leans more toward the theistic side of the argument. Do a lot more critical thinking and it'll hit you like a ton of bricks.

Try looking after a loved one with dementia, when you yourself have depression and anxiety and then put in a days work at a hospital....yeah not that Fucking easy. EDIT A MONTH LATER: That no one had the decency to respond tells me all I need to know about you and your followers.

"Why do you want a challenge? Because that's what you're built for! ... That's what strengthens you." Truth! Sometimes when I tell people I want to do difficult things, they accuse me of wanting to feel smarter than other people but that's because they don't get it. Peterson gets it.

Life IS malevolent and terrible. There’s a spider in my curtains rn and I wanna kill it and I’m worried it wants to kill me. It could hurt me probably. And that’s close to how a paleo human might feel, living in trees, finding a snake hanging from a branch nearby
