@@blackfyre3149 I'm not saying she WOULD do that, I'm saying she could. The comment originator said that Jor is at the age when he realized Lois can't hurt him. I beg to differ. Besides, red sun doesn't hurt it just dulls their powers. It's not like I said she'd use green kryptonite on him.
Quite frankly, I think both boys have the right to learn how to use their powers, and anything else about their Kryptonian heritage. Clark and Lois denied them even the knowledge of their heritage for so long and I wish that point would be brought up
Clark tends to romanticize life in Smallville, to the extent that he ignores how nasty most of the people have been to Lois and the boys. I think he's been suffering from that obsession with being "normal" when not superheroing and he doesn't appreciate that the boys deserve to be taught about their heritage. Maybe spend time with the Lara AI so that she can do the grandmother thing and tell stories about Krypton.
in the drug bust scene jordan training really paid. fast laser for quick response coldbreath uppercut for instant KO. grandad training regime is the shiet
This is why Sam wants a head start on training Jordan. Rather than waiting until Jordan is 18, and leaving him to flail around trying to use his powers instinctively, Sam is giving Jordan the lessons that tie into the advice always repeated to soldiers: "Remember your training".
Lois has to understand that Jordan is not a little kid anymore and on top of that she can’t protect him from everything and besides with Clark gone someone has to fill in his shoes until he gets back
@@micahfranklin4560 - She has definitely been acting irrationally. As Sam quite reasonably pointed out, Jordan is one of the most powerful beings on Earth. He needs guidance. Multiple times in season one he nearly *killed* people who were bullying him because he couldn't control his powers. Now, thanks to Sam, he *can* control them! I get that Clark has been caught up in too many problems to take the lead in training Jordan. But that is *not* a good excuse for Lois to dig in and insist that Jordan should be left to figure out his rapidly-growing powers on his own. Just because Lois wants him to have a "normal" life doesn't mean that he actually *can* have one. Especially not with all the trouble that she and Clark drag home.
@@zahiedzamri3141 - Yes, but with what goes on around them that is a danger even if they stay at home. If Lois wanted a normal life for her family then maybe marrying Superman wasn't the best idea.
@@hasan_1888 - Are you watching her try to shove normalcy down the boys' throats constantly? Jordan would have absolutely *no* training in using his powers if she had her way. Which would idiotically leave a teenage boy with godlike powers that he doesn't know how to control running loose! Also no, I do not know the feeling of being a mom, seeing as how I have the external plumbing instead.
@@daniels7907 well there you go. your opinion with all due respect is bullshit regarding lois since you yourself dont know the feeling. What the frack is wrong with normalcy? since you are not familiar with superman he is opposite of batman. Clarke has always put being clarke first and being superman second. "Jordan would have absolutely no training in using his powers if she had her way" Another Bullshit opinion. Go rewatch s1. If lois was like the way your brain is thinking she would have never allowed clarke to take jordan to meet his father and train him.
If Jordan would have used super speed instead of walking out like normal, that would’ve been the icing on the cake for me in this scene. It’s still a great moment, but that just want to put a little something extra to it
If I were Jordan I might have also thrown it in her face again that she lied to him for most of his life, and that she and Clark *only* came clean because he and Jonathan found the spaceship in the barn.
I really feel for Jonathan .he has such a big heart , I started to hate him when he was on xk treating jorden badly, but i forgot that brothers do fight, especially teens. No matter how bad it gets between the 2 of them whoever said fault it is apologises and talks it through. The love these 2 have for each other is priceless. My heart melted last episode when jorden came and saved Jon. The gottta check on candid yeah gottta go see Sarah bit was so cool like nothing happened. In interviews with the cast both boys say they are like brothers in real life, they hang out with each other all the time. What a bond these 2 have on and off screen
Hahahahahahaha I want my super powers to kick in ASAP because when I was a kid that would never fly. I’m black or mothers beat the hell out of us responsibly and respectfully we can’t do white people shit, we’d be whooped so fast. Lol. Put my kryptonian powers kicked in make a whip us all day long and go do nothing but smile and takeoff what I superspeed lol. We black folks. For real, but I did have a moment with my mother. I was 18 years old, and she was hollering at me and fussing at me about something I didn’t do and I raise my voice to her I said mom no you’re wrong. And I explain to her why she was wrong. It was quiet for a while I thought I love you but I’m not gonna let you keep doing this to me especially when it’s over something I didn’t do. And I walked away I got the last word. Two days later my mom came back to me and said she was sorry and that I was right how was growing up she didn’t need to keep treating me like a child because I wasn’t acting like one. That was probably the scariest moment for me because most of us are not ready to experience a win, most of us know how to lose the most of us don’t know how to experience a win. I took it all in stride and stayed humble but it felt good it felt like this energy transition over me as though I was taking my first steps in a manhood. It’s a damn good feeling.
@@jordanglasper1064 black , asian , brown, arab all get their ass whooped but just by different objects.....whits on the other hand get their ass petted
She raised her kids to whats right and help people but then when one of them does she gets mad ??? What did you think was going to happen when you decided to have a child with a superpowered alien lol 😅
Boy if only Clark could have been on the sidelines, I know different world. Just listening and both are like you want to chime in. He is like I can't really pick a side cause you both are correct. Jordan smiles Lois is like what did you say. Jordan repeats we both are correct. Then he runs fast away, Clark is right after him.
Wow Jordan can fly damn my boy is better than his own dad when he was a teen and I get that Lois is worried about Jordan but he is Superman's son Clark did the same thing growing up and yeah sure Jordan is a kid but If Lois saw other universes then she'd see kids younger then him saving people.
@@rickyholmes5924 he looked like he flew but that's just a jump. Jordan knows he hasn't unlocked that power yet. But it doesn't stop him from imitating as one.
Lois Lane is the last person on Earth with *any* right to lecture *anybody* about safety! She would be dead many times over if it weren't for Clark and others always conveniently saving her. Jordan has to *listen* to people crying out for help! She needs to stop pretending that he's a normal teenage boy and start treating him like what he really is. Because otherwise he could go flat-out insane constantly hearing people die while his mother demands that he just sit there and suck it up.
@@micahfranklin4560 - In the comics, Clark has gone off into space on a quest and his son Jonathan is now acting as Superman. Jordan seems to be headed in the same direction here.
It’s not a pretense she’s a genuine mother. And being the best mother also comes with a hindrance of allowing your child to grow because you always see them as a child and that’s a bit problematic it’s not the worst thing but it’s definitely not the best either. There’s a difficult moment in a mothers life when she has allow her child to grow up and that’s a hard thing to do. It’s going to be OK Jor’Dan is becoming more like his father and not just his powers but his personality is moral compass and his courageous heart.
@@jordanglasper1064 - Also becoming more like his Dad in that he has to come zooming in to rescue his Mom when she inevitably gets herself into trouble! Even Sam was surprised by how familiar she is with being tied up by crooks!
It's so hard because I can see it from both sides. Jordan needs to train and develop his powers and take on the role of Superman to a certain degree because the world needs Superman. John Henry can't be everywhere and he has to fill in. On the other hand, Lois wants him to experience the rest of his childhood because being Superman is a daunting task to take on for anyone. Plus, she knows his mental history and she knows that he will buckle under that kind of pressure. I think he will too. It will become too much for him to handle and he will crack. I image him having a super powered mental breakdown or panic attack and destroying a city. He's come a long way, but he will have limits still. He needs more time I think.
It takes a lot to make Lois go speechless, but damn Jordon... This scene also parallels the scene with Young Clark and Martha back in Season 1. Jordon is growing up incredibly fast.
Yooooo Jordan is becoming a man!!! I love it!!! I know Lois is his mom and she cares about him deeply but she’s allowing her love to blind her from the true he can’t be hurt like everyone else he’s nowhere near the level of Clark was when he had his abilities but he’s slowly approaching that level he can’t be hurt by anybody normal even super power people are weak in comparison to him. He still got some kinks to work out but as far as being a hero he’s on point and he’s right his mothers wrong I love how he stood up to her because being a Harold doesn’t always start with using your powers and abilities it’s having the courage to stand up to do what’s right even when those you love say otherwise.
Poeple defend Jordan. That's fine, he's right to a point. But Lois is only human. With human motherly instincts. Plus, idk where Jordan has the balls, I'm over 30 & still do not dare raise my voice to my mom evem when she's wrong 😂
Jordan has a responsibility to do good like his father before him. The needs of one outweighs the needs of the many. My biggest regret is not doing RU-vid reviews for this series.
Jordan is completely right here I hated Lois in this episode and where she tells superman his family is more important than his duty to the world I know she is just being a concerned mom but I still can't stand her plus I want super boy
Is that mean jonathan and his dad still don't fix their problems, is superman from the another world gone without forgive jon from using x k , if something bad happene to Clark jon never will be okay never 💔💔💔
See Lois is better than me because I know damn well that I wouldn’t let Jordan talk to me like that. At this point Jordan would’ve gotten a kryptonite belt!!!! On his ass if it’s exist
I’m sure Jonathan will make it up to Superman his father when he gets back from space that he can explain what has happened and then we can patch things up
Some women have to be put in their place. Jordan Kent did that perfectly. And here’s the kicker it’s not because he wanted to when his mother was pulling rank on him to stop him from saving peoples lives. And he had to usurp her authority with his home because she can’t stop him nor should she try. I’m willing to bet these are the same types of conversations Clark had with his mother. And the thing is Clark was much stronger much faster he was more supreme than Jordan ever was especially at the same age. But they never stopped his mother Martha from worrying if he would be hurt. It’s just a mothers love but sometimes the mothers love can get in the way of allowing her son to grow up. Jordan check Lois, rightfully so. Back at sink I bet marinate. He went from a very negatively emotional depressed teenager to gaining superpowers struggling with it gaining confidence within himself getting a girlfriend and being more like his father than he ever thought he could be. Not just in one’s powers and abilities but in his personality and his mental clarity and his inner moral compass. They will never be a strong or as fast as his father it was foretold by his grandfather or even so as his powers develop he’s becoming more of a man every single day. And I’m so proud of him. I only wish Jonathan started to develop powers so he could connect with his twin brother on the highest level.
well, we don't know about Jordan's potencial, Jor-el thinks he can't control or hava powers like Clark, but now he can fly and use his powers with acuracy and become stroger every day.
Lois has a right to be worried but at the same time Jordan is the one with powers so he can decide if he wants to help people. Jordan isn’t an adult just yet but he is old enough to think on his own for the most part.
In all honesty, we can't get mad at Lois or Jordan. One hand, Lois doesn't understand that Jordan can hear people's cries for help and I understand Jordan because he can really do something about it, but he doesn't. That's why it's understandable for him to go out and try to help those people. But at the same time, Lois is worried about his identity being exposed or he himself might be killed in the action. She is still a regular mother who worries about her kids. But I have to kind of pick with Jordan because, even as a mother, you have to realize that your kid is growing up and Jordan is like 14 or 15. That's when teenagers do become young adults and need to start making their own choices and especially with Jordan and his powers and Lois does need to understand that there can't be stopping Jordan. Superman can't save everyone at the same time so Jordan has to step up. Again, Jordan is trying to do the right thing while Lois is scared and worried. Still, can't be mad at either one of them.
Lois, the whole "under my roof" argument may not be the best thing to try when your teenage son is literally capable of running away to *anywhere* on Earth! *Lois gets a text:* "Hey Mom! I'm in Rio de Janeiro right now, but I'm thinking of heading to Thailand. XOXO, Jordan"
@@Markus2E5I6 - As of Episode 8 he's now fast enough to *watch* heat vision go past! That puts him at least at parity with an early-season Barry Allen.
@@Markus2E5I6 - Not by much. Jordan's powers are rapidly increasing now. The flip side to her complaint that he is only 15 is that he is *only 15!* There is absolutely *no* evidence that the powers that he has manifested so far are as strong as they are ever going to get. Lois suffers from a chronic delusion that if they ignore his powers, then they will go away. Lois is a very bad and very short-sighted mother. She's so fixated on the past and the immediate present that she cannot think ahead to (literally) save anyone's life. Or, more accurately, she is in willful denial because she doesn't like the truth. Which is not a good look for a journalist. I think maybe she needs to stop hitting the wine so hard. They don't live on a vineyard, so I have to question just how clear-headed her decision-making once the sun goes down is.
@@daniels7907 Yes everyone knows his powers are growing stronger but currently he's not fast enough to travel across countries or continents. He just about discovered his super speed. Lois has never once tried to ignore his powers often she's the one who tries to get him help either by calling Clark or her dad so don't know where you got that delusion from. She's not shortsighted. Jordan is 15 and still not invulnerable as he has gotten cuts and bruises unlike Clark who can withstand bullets. He also hasn't shown a healing factor like Clark yet. Again she's not fixated on the past, polar opposite she's almost always trying to drive her family to the future constantly if she was fixated on the past she would try to make them move to metropolis again. She's not in willful denial not about this she is very aware her son has abilities.
Lois Lane reminds me too much of Smallville Jonathan Kent the original Dukes of Hazzard. Remember Smallville Jonathan Kent always had a problem with Clark Kent being a hero, he didn't learn to accept it until after his death when he was a spirit and a guide for Clark to become Superman. I just hope Lois is not going to suffer the same fate that she prevents her boys from becoming Heroes at the cost of her life..
Frankly, I think he's earned the right given that they *lied* to him and Jonathan for *14 years!* That's before you consider that they were also feeding him psych meds intended for use by Humans when he's not entirely one.
I really can't with some of the fans of this show. Just because he has superpowes doesn't mean he should be put gallivanting as a hero. She's his mother. He's a teenager. She's fully entitled to freak out like this
Less so given how much trouble *she* gets into! Also, how much of that trouble tends to affect the boys anyway. If she wanted to be a normal mom with normal teenage boys then she made an awful mistake marrying Superman!
@@hasan_1888 - Just a reminder: She and Clark *lied* to the boys for *14 years!* Jordan had *no* warning when his powers started to kick in because his parents fed him psychiatric drugs specifically-designed for Humans rather than tell him the truth! The boys were angry, rather than thrilled, when they finally learned that their Dad was Superman. Now they have to cope with the messes that Mom and Dad drag home on a regular basis. Lois needs to come down off her high horse because she is a *massive* hypocrite!
Yeah I agree to an extent, he is basically a child and I can see why she would freak out, but on the other side of it I think she should at least be proud of the fact that he was willing to jump into a burning building and save a man's life, instead of essentially only showing anger at the situation.
Jordan is so annoying. How can he talk to his mom like that? He really just threatened his mom. At this point, they’re making him to be a villain in the far future.
He was not threatened her. He's talking about priorities. He's listening people suffer all the time and he can't do anything. He's a kid but not a normal one. Clark did the same with Marta. That's the reason because he left, because she couldn't understand the pressure and responsibility that his powers have with it. She's scared like any mother, but he is right.
She and Clark lied to him for most of his life. He has some ground to feel antagonism towards her. Especially since he was caught off guard about his powers because he didn't even know that he was half-Kryptonian until he already started manifesting them. Now that he has them and they are growing stronger, she is complaining about him training so that he can control them, rather than living another lie and trying to pretend that he's a normal human.
@@daniels7907 one more thing, honestly I liked the way season one work the idea of him having mental health issues, but I think he wasn't wrong when he thought that his powers have some relationship with his issues, and this makes Clark and Lois a little irresponsible about this too.
@@nataliazart - That's actually a possibility that I have discussed with others who noticed that as you did. One of the first powers Jordan manifested was super-hearing. HIs social anxiety could have had a physical root cause if his hearing were unusually sensitive. That could make him feel very overwhelmed around people. That's before you even question just how responsible it really was to feed him Human psychiatric drugs when he's not entirely Human to begin with. As he is learning to control his powers, notice that his mental health problems have diminished. Clark and Lois seem to have been in denial and were trying too hard to pretend that the boys were (or ought to be) entirely Human.
