I get both of them. You don't want to forget the people that you love especially if they died, but if you don't let yourself move forward then you'll be trapped in the past.
@@Rubrick23.moving forward doesn't mean replacing. People you know and love WILL die. It's the single, unavoidable, universal fact of life: eventually, it WILL come to an end. Accepting that, and healing from that loss? That's normal. That's healthy. But you don't "replace" people. You simply form new relationships with different people.
Oh Natalie, this is the reason that Lucy Lane is so messed up. She's never let go of her mother leaving and it poisoned her relationship with Sam and Lois and led her into the clutches of Ally. It's okay to remember her life. But obsessing over her death will just drive you crazy.
But she at least Natalie is honest to her feelings and conflict is settled even on clarks end she knew he wasn’t to be blamed but still couldn’t see him other wise contrary to Lucy who was not honest about her feelings to her family and to her and cultivated a habit of lying and even betraying thinking it’s for the best
Still though, Natalie’s still a kid. Besides, she was in hibernation for over 6 months after her world was destroyed and her mother was killed while Lucy spent most of her life clinging onto her mother. And the good thing is, unlike Lucy, she is not blaming the people around her for her mother being killed. @@claudiaorozco560 - Natalie is also very intelligent and mature for her age. Which is one of the maddening things about this show in general. For example, Lois should have gotten over herself sooner and spoken to Nat about things straight away. Intellectually, Nat knows that she's not on her own Earth anymore and that Lois (and Superman) are not the same ones as from her world. But emotionally she still needs to cope with loss and tragedy, especially since her world was lost in the Crisis. How hard could it be for Lois to tell Nat that her sister Lucy developed serious issues after their mother left? It's not like Nat knows the Lucy on this Earth anyway. This is not unlike how Clark focused on training Jordan to use his powers, but not the rest of being a superhero with a secret identity until it became a problem.
What Nat doesn't understand is that John doesn't wanna forget their Lois, but wants to move on from how she died and the fact that she died so there would no longer be anything that could tie him down and just be a proper dad again.

Both are understandable. Nathalie is a kid and suffered a traumatizing loss. Seeing her father move on from that loss can feel like a betrayal of that loss. At the same time, John is an adult and, having been consumed by grief for a long time, does not want that for himself and certainly not for his daughter, as well as knowing his wife wouldn't want that for them. If loss defines your entire existence then what's the point of living? There has to be a balance where you remember the people you loved, but still go on living.
That's stupid. The very remembrance of the past creates our everyday lives. To think otherwise makes you cold. To remember makes the choices you make, good or bad relatable.
@@Rubrick23. again I didn't say you have to forget the past, but you have to learn from it not relive past traumas everytime, otherwise you're not moving on you'd be stuck in a vicious cycle of your own making due to you're inability to learn from your past mistakes, overcome your grief or your fears. The past is there for many reason what you do with it determines your future. Some People to tend forget any wrong doing they've done in the past just for them keep doing a the same thing over an over again cause they are ignorant of their mistakes or just ignore the fact that they are the problem, and others cant forget cause they cant overcome grief and therefore are incapable of being happy in the future cause they keep reliving their past traumas. How you handle it is what matters, but you have to deal with it, specially the painful memories.
Not so much for getting her Mom it's just painful for him he'll never forget his wife but at the same time it will tear him apart they can still remember her memory all the great things she did but don't let it hurt effect life around you. Yes John is trying to be a Dad and forgetting that day well he won't really ever forget but I get what Natalie is saying still her Father was broken in season one of the show It's just hard for him to talk about it I know I would be if I lost my girl the pain will always be there but looking at other woman or anything that reminds me of her then yeah I'm broken.
Agreed, but it is a very realistic reaction. Adults often respond this way to a tragic loss, never mind a teenager. Don't forget what kind of man John was when he first came to this world. It took time and maturity and the kindness of others to get him here. Natalie will get there too, but it won't happen all at once.

Problem is when you look at this woman And she for all intents and purposes is your mother But she is a doppelgänger It's harder than ever to move on because you have to look at her if not everyday every other day and it's a constant reminder that your mother is dead

i understand Natalie pain if i lost my mom way she lost hers I would be crushed heartbroken and difficult time moving on from it time heals wounds and shouldn't get too mad at her dad if she told him what today was, he probly stop and be there for her
That was really messed up by John to forget the day. But its not his fault neither is nats. people are forgetting that nat was in suspension for 6 months when john was in earth prime.
Nat NEEDS to learn the difference between willingly forgetting and remembering while moving on and still trying to live life there is a fuckin different
Multiverse essentially. Natalie's mother was a version of Lois Lane from a different Earth in the old Multiverse before that Multiverse was destroyed and remade in Crisis.

1st season we got jordan bi&@& every episode and now we have matalie, i get it at thw beggining but after seeing john hndle her this way it just makes me dislile her character even more
