You gotta love that plot armor. SR Unit had M4 carbines and were all former JSDF but somehow managed to miss all their shots against targets less than 25 yards away and get wiped out by P90’s and a knife. Lol. I still love this anime so much! It’s definitely in my top 5!
P90 is an absolute monster in CQB, it’s basically a 9mm “point at what you want to turn to red mist” gun Not literally, but it does put a lotta rounds down range VERY quickly, and due to its bullpup like design, it has a huge edge over long guns in CQB, it’s got a great accuracy to fire ratio in close quarters too
I appreciate an anime that actually uses guns somewhat right (despite Hollywood style action). That said, do they never reload? Do they have bottomless mags? Why do they use full auto so obsessively? Questions people, so many questions!
@@SI0AX They only show reloads when the main protagonist or foe makes a speach that continues for like an hour while enemy doesn't shoot It's like power rangers watching transforming and bad guys watching
@@qpie7953 I never thought about that when watching Power Rangers! It would be funny to see a parody video where a villain attacks and interrupts it mid transformation.
so if anyone is curious (no one is im sure) here's a few inaccuracies 1.) suppressors (or silencers, same thing) do not make the guns that quiet. the gunfire can still be heard up to a mile for 9mm and just little under a mile for 22lr and well over five miles for any bottle neck round (unless subsonic ammo is used then its about a mile) 03:33 also 04:27 2.) no one is going to hear that guy talking while shooting in that hallway. Im willing to bet that no one hears anything at all after shooting in that hallway 04:14 3.) cars are not bullet proof. the only part of the car that will stop a bullet is the engine block. 01:45 (she is 100% full of holes unless shes lucky enough that the rounds where redirected around her) and also 04:53 4.) she is dead..... it does not matter what kind of scope it is, she is dead. 02:24
3) While that is true - it was not a normal car (the Cayenne). In-show It was a reinforced customised car, designed specifically for the job it was doing. While not 'bulletproof' it was not standard either. The Toyota was (from memory) just a hire car.
Mythbusters actually tested if you could shoot through a scope and found out that it’s impossible so she could have a survival chance although not a really good one but hey better than nothing right? (Although they used sniper scopes so maybe I’m still wrong)
Just stumbled on this video by chance. I cannot unhear most of the gun sounds are from Brothers in Arms series. The BAR, M1a1, Garand, even a slowed down MG42 sound is in here too! I seriously cannot unhear it now!
Is weird how not exist so much animes focused in military action or histories and most popular was fantasy or fighting ones. I mean firefights with guns sometimes is better than fantasy or stupid kid powers fights
Not really weird to be honest. Military anime or historical doesn't do well in the anime industry. That is why they usually stay away from them and make fantasy or other kinds because they are higher in demand from the audience. I agree that it sucks but that is just how it will be because at the end of the day it is about money.
Military/gun anime is an extreme niche in Japan, that also has quite a stained reputation due to fans usually being heavily right wing imperialists, or obsessed airsoft roleplay types.
Its the main reason why i dont watch anime. I love the anime artstyle but fantasy or just regular shonen arent for me. The exception being Hajime No Ippo (because boxing is hella cool. Plus, these punches land hard), Black Lagoon, Gunsmith Cat (The manga, until... *sigh* THAT part...) and now this anime. If there was more or Military Anime or Spec Ops stuff like that, i'd watch the shit out of those. Edit: And Hockey Anime. i'd fucking kill for full on shonen/sport anime about hockey.
Excluding the plot armors. The bad thing about this show for me is that almost no one tried to take cover, everybody shoots while standing straight up in the open all the time. And somehow they missed all the shots in point blank.
Litterally nothing is realistic in this anime: - Sound design is utter shit - In a gun range you use hollow point ammo, not armor piercing (goal is to have the "ting" sound of the bullet hitting the metal target) - Single fire is better rather than constant full auto (for accuracy) - They don't hit shit and somehow don't need to reload with a standart 30 round magazine - Hiding behind a car while getting shot by 5.56x45mm or 7.64x39mm usually end up in a bloodbath - How the fuck does a bullet ricoche on a vest?! Even the tactics are questionnable
@@epsilon_bc496 you use hollow point rounds at the range? Talk about expensive. Where do you shoot where its advised to use those instead of FMJ? And have you seen an anime that meets your standards for a high quality, realistic action anime? I haven't, but I'm simply entertained by this one.
@@kevinghifari2330 yea most definitely Hollywood style. But out of all the anime I would say yes. Realistically those bullets would have penetrated those cars. Cars are kind of good for concealment but definitely not good for cover. Only very few parts of the car is good for cover.
i swear sometimes i think people are running around with some sort of "dodge build" from payday 2 from the amount of bullets that just don't hit for some reason
2:55 mk82s with those fins drop very innacuratly, they wobble in flight all the way down, it's kinda funny how they fall irl, they almost look like muppets
wait- whos who? I CANT TELL YALL THERES A SNIPER SINPING A GUY AND THEN ANOTHER SNIPING THE GUY WHO SNIPED THE SNIPER AND THIS GUY WHO GOT SHOT IN THE EYE AND SHOT THE PERSON WHO SHOT HIM IN THE EYE WHAT.
I cut out most of the story segments to avoid copyright problems and to compress the scenes. I don't know why some people can post entire segments or episodes without getting copyright flagged or striked. I try to post a clip and get copyright flagged.
I wonder how some kids (or perhaps ladies) can withstand rifle's recoil, yet even to hold steady an m4a1 (3.5kg) for aiming is bloody tiring me. I'm a paramilitary (in real life) and I've been hell for 2 months, and I believe those guys in body armor or any enforcer couldn't die easily.
Depends on the Caliber, and what the rifle in question is made out of would be my guess. Shooting an AK-47 will tire out someone because the weight of the weapon adds to the impact from the recoil, while a lighter, near-all polymer weapon shooting the same round would has less of a 'impact' on the shooter due to the lighter weight not 'adding' anything to the recoil. Though, at the same time, its easier to keep a heavier weapon pointed towards the target as that weight helps keep it from drifting during recoil.
I try to remember it's just anime logic. But still it's kinda like damn..... you shooting a whole ass machine gun with no ear protection? How the hell can you even hear after that crap.
Funny shoot-outs. In a narrow corridor, not hitting a large crowd is just chic. Is he in there was he firing blanks? Yeah, and when the girl went to stab four armed men with a knife, that's a funny moment, too. It would have been even funnier if she'd fist-bumped them while they were standing in line waiting for a one-on-one fight.
I like how derply unrealistic theese scenes are. Bodyguards with no armor? Shooting assault rifles in one burst, no pauses, no reloads, for almost half a minute? Nah, there's even more. Well, it is entertaining action show no matter what.
@@Noire_. Ikr! After watching some combat footages of Russian invasion of Ukraine & Syrian Civil War, firing on full-auto is nut!! Most use single-shot for most of the time.
From my understanding, Japanese combat and thus media have been influenced by US/ English training the military. Using certain words in English reduces confusion amongst allies. I heard that Japanese think English words are "Cool" just like how Americans get Kanji tattoos. So using some English words could be from this perspective also.
Ngl, I loved the story of this anime but the gunfight animations were horrendous. It’s a lost art nowadays to do well-done shootouts in anime, with some of the absolute best being done in the 80s and 90s.
They’re military. It’s not restricted towards their market. Plus civilians (US) can buy them as well. There aren’t any sanctions placed on Belgian military sales, etc.
I don’t know about that. Maybe COD tactics. In a real firefight, your best friend is semi auto. You can aim better that way. Go watch the US Army’s Afghanistan and Iran combat footage. The small arms were constantly in semi, while suppressing fire were either grenades or MGs. Now, I haven’t watched this anime but with what I saw here, there were no tactics.
