@@andrestrandby9513 yeah it’s H pattern but unlike road cars, these have dog gears which don’t use synchros to engage, instead you slightly let off the throttle and ram it into the next gear :D
Anyone can say anything but the 5 cylinders sound and power characteristics is unbeatable . when im driving my 5 cylinder Volvo im feeling like the same like this :D
Whow that sound 🤩I love the drivetrain with the manual 6-speed gear. This completes the historic character of the 2.2l 5cyl engine more than a modern doubleclutch 7-speed gear or something similar. There has to be a pause between the gears and on downshifting maybe some baaapm you know what I mean. The pilot must have skills to show that, didn't hear this here, but anyway. Good ride! 👍👍
0:47 That long straight at the begin. the gear ratio is tuned perfect for that track. it was just peaking the limiter near the end of that straight and boy does that sound so mean and angry what a fucking sound !
Actually Jozef built this car himself, including the gearbox. He just always wanted to have it, was his dream... Started rallying in his teen ages, as his father was and still is a rally driver. I remember the times when he needed the co pilot to drive the car BETWEEN the stages as he was only 16-17 of age.. 😀 They are well known and quite respected over here in Slovakia 👍 ...and if possible, they never forget to give some sideways for the fans!

Damnnnnn this feels like when i play Dirt rally and look at the leaderboard to watch the #1 on the board's replay. That's how you get #1, you drive it, insanely well. Pure awesomess
Great talented driver..squeezed 100% out of what he had to work with..on the limit..even over the limit like Senna sometimes..could'nt ask for more..imagine if he had a big team behind him to balance the car better!?..top 10 rally driver in the world
They decreased the wheelbase to reduce understeer. It makes it particulary hard to drive as it changes directions very fast. Audis do understeer, the engine being in front of the FR wheels axis. And the fact that its an inline 5 doesent help either... But its what makes an Audi an Audi 😂
they should be faster tbh , they had almost twice the power of current wrc cars once upon a time... , but theyre definitely no where near as easy to drive and a hell of a lot more dangerous... so overall current cars are 'better'
