Josh McDaniels Learned Absolutely Nothing 

Not keeping Bisaccia was a colossal mistake. Every single player wanted to play for that guy, but Davis wanted to make a splash.

Just want to add the sorry ass fact that Joshie was the ONLY NFL coach that got beat by Jeff Saturday.

The fact that this man got a job in the NFL, ANY job, after his Colts fiasco is a testament that human character and integrity doesn't matter in this league. Just win, baby...

Essentially, McDaniels has turned the Raiders into the Patriots Boys Club

Should've hired Rich Bisachia. He led one of the most dysfunctional/drama filled teams of all time to the playoffs. They didn't make it there because of team mentality or talent

Mark Davis has also learned nothing. He could have kept Bisaccia on the cheap for another two seasons, and Carr would still be here.

As a Chiefs fan, McDaniels is a cancer to the AFC West.

if I had a nickel for every coach under Bill Belichick who got hired as HC somewhere else and then ran their team into the ground trying to recreate the Patriot Way....I'd have at least 5 nickels.

Should have kept Bisaccia. As a Panthers fan, it's unfortunate that my team decided to follow the same path as the Raiders and move on from their interim head coach. Bisaccia and Wilks probably wouldn't have led their respective teams to immediate success, but you can't argue that these teams would look a hell of a lot better than they are now.

I called all of this when McDaniels was hired. This was so fucking predictable.

McDaniels was brought in as part of Mark Davis’ obsession with getting Tom Brady on the team. Ever since it was revealed that TB12 was close to signing with the team and Jon Gruden shot the idea down Davis has pursued Brady like a love stuck teenager.

The "Patriot Way" doesn't work anymore. We are seeing that in Vegas and New England. McDaniels didn't do anything for the Broncos either. What made Mark Davis think McDaniels would do for the Raiders? Plus Mark Davis is literally paying two head coaches at the same time. McDaniels and Gruden who signed a 10 year contract. May be why Davis hasn't fired McDaniels is because he can't afford to.

Watching McDaniels cling to his Patriots past (Cassel, Garropollo, Myers, ect) gives the same vibe as a 25-year-old ballboy who peaked in High School and is trying to relive the glory days...

It's a shame both the Chargers and Raiders are now owned by kids of owners and do nothing but alienate fans. Dean Spanos and Mark Davis are really honestly bad at this. I still think it's ridiculous they moved from their cities and now have "home" stadiums that are often rather full of opposing team fans.

Hiring McDaniels is bad enough. Now imagine getting swept by him (cough…Hackett…cough).

Belichick handled the defense, so his defensive assistants didn't do anything. The offense was all Tom Brady, not the assistants. All Belichick's assistants learned how to do was alienate top players and take in all of Belichick's castoffs.

And to think Giants fans wanted McDaniels. At least Daboll has the chance to do something, they just need to build the team. McDaniels is just a failure

Also people need to take in account of Josh Mcdaniels time in St louis. He was there for one year as offensive coordinator...a team went 7-9 with a rookie QB who won rookie of year, Sam Bradford with 3500yards , then they went 2-9 2164 yards. HE RUINED Bradford. In fact that downfall was one of the reasons why rams started to push out of St louis. No one wanted to see the team collapse so hard which drove them out of St louis as well as the city collapsing. In just ONE year he ruined the rams.

hilarious how davis was the only human on the planet that didn't know mcdaniels was a terrible coach.

All of these former Patriots coaches failing with other teams and seeing how bad the patriots are now really cements that it was Tom that made the team great, not bill

Every Sunday when I watch my team lose over and over again, all I can think about is how much I miss Rich Bisaccia. If Davis has any sense or care for his team, he will fire McDaniels and bring Bisaccia back. However, I wouldn't be surprised if that was even enough to salvage things at this point with Waller and Carr gone and Renfrow on the way out.

As a Raider fan I've made a horrible mistake. There's like no right way to be a fan. Either you root for the players that meant a lot for the Raiders (like that guy on the Saints) or you don't question anything no matter how bad the coaching is. Meanwhile the rest of the NFL is making fun of the Raiders and invading Allegiant Stadium. But I fw the logo and jerseys so that's all I need lol

I live in Las Vegas and I still don't understand the hiring of McDaniels. He has never been a good head coach and then he left the Colts high and dry.

What aggravates me most, is braindeads like McDaniels get multiple chances to be a Head Coach, meanwhile Eric Bienemy and Byron Leftwich, Super Bowl winning OCs can't get a Head Coaching job. I wonder what the difference is.

we had greatness with Bisaccia but in a classic Raiders move we got rid him like we got rid of Carr, Crabtree, Woodson, Janikowski, Mack, Lynch, heck even Gruden because god forbid we get a win and maybe bring back pre 2000's glory.

Nah, most poisonous coach in the league now is Matt Lafraud. He’s terrible with play calling, gets outplayed and out coached by just about everyone (including Josh McDanials!), never learns from mistakes and corrects them, enforces zero discipline and consistency, is fraudulent, keeps defending idiots and incompetent people like Joe Barry, and is easy to walk all over (Quay Walker is a prime example of this, got talent, but a big part in why he keeps doing the stuff he does from a discipline perspective is because of a lack of punishment dealt to him from Matt Lafraud and Joe Barry)! Something else about the Darren Waller trade that makes it even more snake-like. On March 4, Waller married Kelsey Plum of the Las Vegas Aces. The Raiders traded him on March 15. In other words, instead of getting rid of him to his face, they traded him while he was on his honeymoon.

Problem is McDaniels has learned something. The first rule of job interviews - tell the interviewer what they want to hear. Doesn't matter how good (or bad) you are, all you have to do is make the prospective employer think you're good, and McDaniels has done very well out of that. Walked into the Donks with his mouth writing checks his ability can't cash, fired a couple of dozen games later when the owner finally realized the checks were bouncing, and walked out again with a few million in the bank. Doing the same thing at the Raiders was just gravy for him. The guy who hasn't learnt a thing is Mark Davis. Fired Lane Kiffin, yay that, then hired Dennis Allen (Lane Kiffin 2.0), reluctantly fired Allen after too damn long when he finally realised he'd re-hired Kiffin, then hired McDaniels after he'd already shown the Donks and the rest of the NFL that he was Lane Kiffin v3.0 beta.

He may have won things as a coordinator in New England but as a head coach and exemplified by his tenure in Donkey country, he will never be a head coach as long as he breaths. Bisaccia and Jack Del Rio were the two coaches who came closest and stood a chance of winning the big prize, Mc 🤡 will not last in Vegas.

This video laid it all out for anyone who never knew these facts. I hated this hire when it happened and was warned by several bronco fans. I knew Mark Davis pulled another idiotic move like usual. The most important thing that I saw was the chemistry they had. They played hard with good leadership and came close to the championship game. With McDaniels, there is no chemistry, and with McDaniels and Ziegler, there is no leadership, and nobody wants to play for them. The dude can't coach. He has gotten rid of the nucleus of a good team and doesn't even try to get the ball to his playmakers. There is no place for McDaniels in professional football, period.

I've been a die hard raiders fan for 30 years. Outside of 2002, the last real Gannon year, the 2021 team had my favorite group of players to watch. Maxx Crosby and Darren Waller in particular were energizing to me due to their history of overcoming addiction. I knew when McDaniels was hired, the fun would be sucked out of everything. I was there when he was in Denver. It was even more depressing than I expected. And now we don't even have Carr anymore to provide the faint hope that we could compete any given Sunday. Mark Davis is not his dad. Thank God this nightmare is over

McDaniels was hired on the promise of luring Tom Brady to play for Vegas, much like Hackett was hired by the Broncos to get Aaron Rodgers. Both situations have had an identical outcome, with the second choice for QB underachieving and the coach being shown the door soon after.

Let's face it. When you see Steeler fans waving their terrible towels on the 50-yard line of a Raiders home game, you know that the organization is a pathetic shell of itself. In Oakland or Los Angeles, Raider fans would've been wiping their behinds on those towels. The great Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders are dead. They shouldn't even be using the Raiders name. If I was GM of a NFL team, would not take a assistant from the Belichick tree not to less a former head coach. The Reid tree has its own hits (McDermott, Pederson, Siriani, John Harbaugh) and misses (Matt Nagy, Brad Childress, Shurmur) Raiders could easily be 1-5 with bone head play calls such as attempting a long field goal vs Packers.

In the future, owners just need to remember: WWJMD, "What Would Josh McDaniels Do?" ...And the answer is, destroy your team.
