No Hotels, No Plan, Just Adventure, Living in the car for 6 days. The Highlights!
I’ve been obsessed with going to the Noto Peninsula for a long time now. It’s quite a trek, so I decided to bring along Shoko and the dogs for a trip that turned out to be one of my favorites so far.
Beachside crab, an ocean waterfall, godzilla rock and so much more, with beautiful sights unlike anything I’ve ever seen in Japan.
I’ve condensed our 6 day adventure into a short video of highlights to share with you just how amazing this less touristy area of Japan really is. Hope you enjoy!
I post unique photos and stories about Japan on social media, so come have a look if you are interested!

Really enjoyed the video, subbed. Super jealous of a lot of your experiences here, the crab by the beach looked amazing. I saw your reddit broadcast and hopped over here, the level of effort you put into these vids is incredible, all the drone footage and editing makes them a real treat to watch, honestly. If I'd offer a bit of feedback, I'd say to cut the videos into small, bite-sized chunks. Even one like this you could split into 3 to get more views, as well as keeping it fresh for people who don't have time to watch the entire thing end to end. Maybe you could look at some big japan youtubers as see what kind of video size they're pumping out for a lot of hits, then copy that? Also you say let's check it out too much :p
@NomadicGaijin
@NomadicGaijin 3 года назад
Thank you for watching, and the feedback! It’s always a debate for me on how to divide the video or how long they should be so it helps to hear some honest opinions. I’ll keep that in mind going forward with the next few vids I have planned. It’s true, I’m a “let’s check it out”-aholic, no idea why I just tend to say it a lot 😅 Thanks again for watching and the feedback, have a good one! P.S. I think I say “let’s check it out” in my next 3 vids...too late for those ones 😅

That place looks beautiful. I wonder how hard it'd be to get there by train from Tokyo. Great video!
@NomadicGaijin
@NomadicGaijin 3 года назад
akapen sensei Shinkansen and local trains can get you to some areas of Noto, but it’s really best to have a car. I think that’s why this place is not so crowded compared to other areas of Japan.

@@NomadicGaijin I don't feel comfortable driving in Japan, but maybe I can get an Uber or something.
@NomadicGaijin

akapen sensei since every little town has so many sights that could work. But really, driving in Noto and the Hokuriku area in general is really easy. Wide roads, no crowds, it’s like driving in America. It’s Tokyo driving that’s no fun at all 😅 and for potential visitors, an international license is easy to get and lasts 1 year.

You can take a train to Kanazawa but to get to Noto you need to rent a car from there.

Thank you for showing me so much great stuff in noto peninsula. This is my dream place to move to and live I think it is so beautiful, do you have any recommendations on where is the best place to live in noto and what is that beach area called it is really cool. Thank you great video

@NomadicGaijin 3 года назад
Thank you for watching, I’m glad you enjoyed! There were a few beach areas so let me know which part of the video it was and I can tell you the name of the area. In Noto I really liked Wajima city, it was a pretty clean and nice modern town with lots of great restaurants and close access to so many beautiful sights. The only thing to be careful of is the amount of snow that Noto gets in winter 😅

The first beach we visited in the video was in Niigata (with the shrine island) 能生海水浴場 - Nou Beach Resort goo.gl/maps/mBLfJnrudZVZbfrJ7 The first beach we visited in Noto with the beach drive: Chirihama Beach goo.gl/maps/G6FYMu3GaDZVZ5nj6 Hope that helps, and feel free to ask questions anytime 👍

@@NomadicGaijin Not much of a ramen person these days, but 8 ban was one of the last places me and Brett would go to. Local shops are always the best for ramen and I'm sure you guys have your share. Yeah there's only one Champion here and effed me. Haven't been to coco's in years as well. Only other curry I'll go out of my way to try is other Kanazawa curry or curry udon. Except for Go-go's they're all good, but Champion is the best.
