The new look Journey lineup performs Wheel In The Sky (with a killer extended instrumental jam) at their special Lollapalooza aftershow at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, IL. 7/29/2021
After seeing Journey on LIVE Tour Concert - the first time-- I suddenly became an AP Fan..haha. Since then, I have seen many Concerts of Journey.!! AP got that tenor perfect pitch vocals that show more raspiness when he sings ballads --full of emotions and soul and when he sings rock songs, he commands the stage with his presence- the whole crowd rocks too !! AP is amazing !! What an incredible performance each time. Can't wait to see Journey Concert again soon, in Florida! Congrats AP for his 15th year as frontman for Journey, this year, 2022 !! Journey rocks !!
@@alexkleinwachter1264 Especially for a 49-year-old band with just one original member, Neal Schon. They sound and look as good as ever here with their current lineup.
Happy Journey is doing concerts again. You guys are the real Trailblazers, not only coz you have Arnel for a lead singer, but also because you have multiple instruments, which many bands do not. You really show the world what a true band should be! God willing, I pray you guys have more decades together.
I saw Journey, Santana , Thin Lizzy, Eddie Money, And Molly Hatchet at Comiskey Park 1979. WLUP’s day in the park! Thank God for Rock n Roll! Chicagofest too!
thank you sir for hating on "journey cover band" keep on hating :) needs a healthy balance of hate and support. because it helps people remember their awesome songs. but i think the band called escape is more suited to play fully packed venues than this cover band. Have you seen AP with the long hair trying to copy SP, so cringe'ish
I wish Perry would come back just for a few songs - just to see all the fans' disappointed faces when he can't come anywhere near the high notes anymore.
It's a video recorded on my cell phone from the middle of the crowd...what was I supposed to do, ask 4000 people to quiet down so the folks on RU-vid could get a better video? 🤣
82Ohurleyj..bla bla you wish ?why guys cant move on steve Perry move on long time ago.so...please just enjoy music of journey that ARNEL bring us today...be happy what we have now?
I'd like to know too. Why does Journey need two drummers? Is something about to happen? My understanding is that Deen is now officially back in Journey. I had heard, unconfirmed, that Neal wanted Deen back as the drummer when he fired Steve Smith (and Ross), but his schedule would not allow, and Walden was a second choice.
@@kathyhatfield4208 Sorry? Am not talking about Perry voice and most especially am not comparing them, beside Ilove Perry voice too. I am completely commenting on AP voice without comparing, don’t be a bitter ground.
Im fan from way back way way back I like that denn is back he a good player and he has a great voice but for him to be with Michael Nevada Walden makes no sense. And where is Randy Randy was supposed to be playing bass
I pretty sure the new bassist toured with then in 86. But they never showed him the decency to add his picture with the band back then. I love Journey but they have a bad habit of disrespecting the amazing people who covered when everything went wrong. When I saw them in 06 Jeff Scott Soto took over lead vocals for the tour. He wasn't a perfect fight like Arnel granted. But his passion and delivery made them feel fresh and new instead of living off their past.
Deen is a monster musician and singer. He IS the next best thing to Steve Perry and that’s big shoes to fill for sure! Neal sounds great as always. Love Jason Derlatka too..Sorry Arnel you seem like a really nice person and I know you are singing your heart out but Steve is a hard act to follow!
Steve Perry was the voice of Journey over many years. He is 71 years old. It would be interesting for him to do these songs currently. Journey has been jamming since 1972. Arnel Pineda has been with them since 2007. They are a 49-year-old band with Neil Schon as the only original member. I think they are still in the game. This "Wheel In The Sky" itself dates to 1976, 45 years ago. They still have what it takes.
sorry for you too becoz until now u cannot admit that Arnel is the lead Voice of the current band JOURNEY. move on and enjoy ur music. it seems that u forget that in his own tounge Steve Perry loves Arnel very much! pitty on u girl.
@@jasonburger3533 he’s not the current Steve Perry. Arnel is one of the lead vocalists, Deen and Jason sing a couple songs each. Steve Perry not only sang the lead vocals but co-wrote, arranged, produced and engineered Journey songs.
@@hcavill8144 I am aware that Steve Perry had given himself to the band Journey. I know they divide their singing up between those you mention, but early comparisons were made in 2007 and 2008 by music critics about Arnel Pineda sounding like Steve Perry. Steve Perry, I agree, had been the heart and soul of Journey. He was/is one of a kind.
Actually it gives another dimension of strings on the keyboard and helps background vocals be more full. That way you don’t need backing tracks like many bands.
NOPE DONT FEEL IT....ARNELL JUST SINGING HE NEEDS TO TAKE CONTROL PUT ON A SHOW.....LIKE AXL ROSE , I WANT LEAVE CONCERT ARNELL BROUGHT THE SONG , BAND OUT...NOT A 2 DRUM PLAYERS BAND...BUT I WOULD GO SEE THEM...FOR FREE...
Sorry Neal but there are other musicians on stage also. All good things must come to an end with happy memories. Don’t want the legacy of the best band in the world turning sour!!!! Could be too late though
Why travel with a band and all that gear? Just put the Karaoke Queen on stage by himself with a machine and a small screen to read the lyrics. This isn’t Journey.
