To give you all little bit of insight I've been following this group for 47 years and I practice every everyday to be like Steve Perry and to be able to either copy or mayor Steve's voice or to pick up where Steve left off and they give you a little bit of insight as well I can come really close to hitting them high notes as well Steve in fact I could probably hit higher than Arnel Pineda has ever hit
Also they're one of my all-time favorite bands and I have followed them through MTV I found through just about every music program that's been on TV back in the day and I watched them play at every concert that they've ever played and I've listened to about every song that they recorded on all their albums and you talk about one sensational band they Rock
A cool thing about this song is… the music feels like it’s rolling like a wheel 🛞… that guitar is rolling … the drums are rolling, Steve’s voice is rolling .like a wheel in the sky
Yep, that was Steve singing , soaring over the top! I loved your expression. I was 10 when I first heard this song. My Aunt had bought the Infinity album. My dad, and I sat listening over and over. I love that you love Steve too. Your "Reaction " videos are awesome. #steveperry #classicjourney #reactions #nolimittwon
Thank you SO much for noticing his high note!!! It's the best part of the song, and ALL the other reactors miss it! You're awesome ❤ Please react to Journey's "Separate Ways" and "When You Love a Woman".
So impressed you noticed it was Steve's voice and not an instrument! You're the first reaction video I've seen that has noticed! Love to see you react to "Strung Out" on one of Steve Perry's solo albums.
I'm very impressed that you caught that, You have good ears!... Steve Perry's voice creeping up with the guitar and hanging there long, even from back in the days very few people know that.
I have never noticed that was Steve singing either & I listen to this song every time I get into the car. lol. He's amazing! It's my "riding around music".
Does my heart good to see young people today loving the music I grew up on. I saw that look in your eye when Steve hit that angelic note and held it. Disbelief is the only way to describe it. Nobody can do that live and get away with it. Like Steve Perry did. ✌
There's nothing wrong with listening to Journey if your any color. Music is the universal language. Steve's voice will have anyone listening anyways!!!
You should do journey live in houston 1981. Mother, father is absolutely amazing. Well the whole show is. They dont have a bad song. Steve Perry also has some great solo stuff too. The man can sing anything fantastic
I grew up listening to all the classic rock as a biracial kid......people do kinda trip from both sides at first but its an eye opener....non of this music was made for no one certain kind.....it keeps showing us we all feel the same
I always say "Music is a sound, not a color".🎵💕🎶 I'm a soon-to-be 57 year old white lady who just last night was getting down to some old school Parliament, Funkadelic, The Gap Band. Now there's a suggestion, Twon. Let's go old school funk!!! 😃
Hey bro, welcome to the VOICE!!!!!!! That song was Steve Perry's first album with Journey. The live concerts are the 80,s. You have to hear When You Love A woman from the 90,s. So many more in between. Best!!!!! Live band ever.
As mentioned before you have to listen to Lovin Touchin squeezin oh, it's a greasy sweaty bluesy track with a little bit of funk to it. Is some of Journey's best work
You're the first reaction video I've seen to notice Steve hitting the high note with the guitar solo. I'd been so disappointed in others as it's such an underappreciated skill! 4:43
Ok, now you should listen to Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) if you want another of their songs with a great beat. And also the 1981 Houston concert footage where he sings Mother Father. Steve's voice will amaze you even more on that one!
So many people who loved rock in the 80s don't know that most of the bands from the 80s were around in the 70s. Journey was one of them. Journey was around and not going anywhere. Then came the voice. They became the band that got me through high school. Steve Perry can still give me chills..
Honey, please do the live version of "Mother Father" from this band......if u think THIS high note was good, u will freak !!!.....but u have to be patient and wait for it.....LOL
First song that played on the radio in the first car I ever owned. I cranked it up. Perfect song for my first set of wheels. This song will always be special to me.
Great catch TWON! Most people don't realize it's Steve's voice during the guitar solo. I, as most people hearing it on the radio or on LP didn't know until seeing it performed live and saw him in action. That was mind blowing. One of a kind voice.
I thought the same thing. Then I saw Steve. He’s so crazy good. No one in the world like Steve Perry that’s for sure. I’m so glad I grew up in the 80s.
This is when I was introduced to the band Journey! 1979-80 NYC the Academy of music on 14st. Witch later became the famous Paladium night club! Small theater great sound and they rocked the house! It was a hundred degrees in there that night! I remember it like it was yesterday!
I'm white and my oldest brother had a "fro" all through the 70's. I decided one time to get a perm in my straight blonde hair. Ended up looking like I lost a fight with a light socket. Never tried that again!
I watch many of these reaction videos. Yours is very good. We can change the world through music. There is no color barrier in this world. Thanks Brudda!
I was about 10 years old when I first heard their song then in my teens they were a very big group and it brings so much memories when I hear them... Being a teen in the 80’s was the best!! I’m so glad that you play them they were such a talented group and Steve Perry will always have the best voice!!💕💕
@@NLTwon Ah too bad, maybe have to pause it more in your edit, I don't know, copyright stuff sucks. Well hope you liked it anyway. Keep it up man. I was 13 in 1981, I grew up with all this, I enjoy seeing a new generation exposed to it.
F-'ing gr8 reaction!!! TWON, you gotta spin the Journey song... STONED IN LOVE 🔥 They have a pair of tunes that used to be played on the radio back-to-back, just like it is on the album. You hear just the voices at the end of the first song and at the beginning of the second song. FEELIN' THAT WAY / / ANYTIME ~TPfromTexas
Steve Perry approaches whistle tone! He does that again in the ending to Mother Father! Journey rockers. Message of Love, Girl Can't Help It (w/ Randy Jackson), Stone in Love, Only the Young, Ask the Lonely SP solo. Don't Fight It (w/Kenny Loggins), I Stand Alone (w/David Foster), Traces, Foolish Heart, Oh Sherrie.
I crank this song up in the car with all the windows open and I’m sure people look at me like who is this chick? I don’t care. Best song ever to jam to while driving!! This song just moves me!!
