Tired of niggas saying one band suck cause of they arrangements or cause of they style. The band itself is only playing what's being put in front of them. Don't put the program n students down cause of a wack ass director, we only play what's put in front of us, and play how the director wants us too. Every interpretation of a song is different, keep that shit in mind.
I like asu band but TBH during the game state was smashing jsu . but 5th qt. I give that to jsu nun of the bands was at there best like always and both bands r missing alot of there people

The down fall for some of these HBCU bands is that they're too many rap tunes, with these bull shit breakdown parts. I marched for TxSU Ocean 94 and it goes for them too. This was a monster year for JSU. If you don't have marches, runs in songs, size, or quality....No one can touch the Boom. Bama should be ashamed of themselves (No Book and Ratchet sound), especially what Bethune did them last year.

Asu staff is there down fall. They upper brass numbers are extremely slim too. Asu only has 18 or 19 trumpets, so I don't expect them to as powerful as Jsu or SU, but they aren't the Asu of the past. Asu use to be a force and it's sad to see them in their present state. Song selection, arrangements, execution, energy, and aggression are all lacking. 2011 was their last decent band. 2012 was straight.
Alabama State sounds like pure shit! Phrasing and tuning are for them in this clip were just terrible. That was a damn atrocity! JSU sounded good though. #Jukeboxrules

Really nice footage, and a good show from both bands, I'm neutral here, but if I had to pick a winner I guess it would be jackson, they had the edge in song selection and execution, I give props to both bands, tirelessly practicing week in and week out providing us with great entertainment

I'm ASU all day, but even I give the win to JSU. ASU has the potential to be the #1 HBCU college band but they need some changes. They need better arrangements and more (good) song selections. They have a habit of starting off the season strong and ending on a low note. I need for my hornets go hard the entire season.
