Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that is the first time since moving to Washington (had to be a 1 game series too lol) and only the 2nd time in franchise history.

Soto is so composed for a kid his age... Listened to his post game comments, he wasn't trying to do too much with his 8th inning at bat, just tried to get a hit... I think Rendon prob scores anyway, but getting caught up to draw the throw was another good play by him...

I will never forget sitting in the left field section for this game. From the time Soto made contact until probably the first out in the ninth, the liquids were still being thrown in the air, and we all chanted “SOTO, SOTO” to him as he warmed up there in left. What Strasburg and Soto did this game was such an incredible preview for the playoffs, and knowing this was the first of five elimination game, come-from-behind win in the late innings makes this so special. What a game and what a defining moment

As a Nats fan the first 7 1/2 innings felt like 2012, 2014, and 2016. The rally in the 8th felt a lot like what other teams did to the Nationals most specifically the cardinals I believe in 2012 when the Nats had a 6-0 lead in thr nlds game 5 at home and lost.

I was rooting for the Brewers, but I've seen too much baseball to not know what was going to happen in the 8th. That HBP was big, the broken bat dunker, a walk - it was going off the rails before Soto stepped to the plate. Grisham's error in right just insured I was getting to bed on time. Either way, Milwaukee just wasn't in a good spot to make a deep October run. Better luck next year. Going forward, I'm hoping the Nationals play a good series against the Dodgers and sour their chance at winning another pennant.
