Rob`s tune about a crazy night at gay bars on Fire Island NY. I owned a cool record shop in the gay village in Vancouver for 25 yrs. He came in once looking for CDs. Super nice gentleman. I remember the day, Baldhead, extreme tats on his skull and a leather full-length coat. I knew who he was. We never bothered celebrities. Rock a Rolla was an album I bought back in the day when I was a kid. Terrible production but fun nonetheless. I liked some of their other records too. Great live. He bought some Lamb and Morcheeba CDs We had many big names in the music industry dig for records. He was by far the mellowest , humble guy to ever come into the shop. Mello Metal God!
Have to agree with the best. Don't know of another band where you can jam their first 4 albums, then turn around and put on Delivering The Goods!! Fuckin' remarkable
I was in a band at the time and remember hearing the "Fire Island" reference. Being they were British, I thought it might mean something else? Once he came out, I had an entirely different understanding. Crazy, but if you'd called him gay in their hay day, there'd have been a fight! Regardless, there's only one Rob Halford and it just ain't Priest without him!
@@murdermetal1271 Not sure if you're replying to me or @tyeedwrds, but if it is to me, where in my comment did I say that it mattered if he was gay or not?
Absolutely!! This is one of my favourite drumming albums. It's also very interesting for me to hear early Priest with a busy drummer as the others were very simple. Very good, but very simple.
I made a spike about nine o'clock on a Saturday All eyes hit me as I walked into the door Then and then the guys were fooling in the demin dudes A couple cards played rough stuff, New York, fire island I cased the joint, straining at the scenes I moseyed up to the counter and the tender came a-grinnin' I snapped the smile off his face and scowled: Give me a Bourbon The mirror on the wall was collecting and reflecting All the heavy bodies ducking, stealing eager for some action The scene screwed me up, I saw some contact Then the big boys, saw me and knew that I'd had too much, floating around Statues alive, seconds are hours Sacks like a hurricane, wrapped in and shattered I was barely holding on to this flying body symphony I guess I dream in pictures, not colors The true free expression I demand is human rights - right I gave my life, I am immortal I'm going, no loss I'm going, no loss I'm going, no loss I'm going, no loss Nightmare, just a bunch of goddamn, rotten, steaming, raw deal
I'll be releasing an episode with unknown facts about SIN AFTER SIN album on the day if its Birthday, like I do with EVERY Judas Priest album😉🤘🤘🤘 Can't wait fo that one!
54 and feel the same way. Back in the late 70’s when they came to America they were a MUST SEE for me and all my friends. I was playing guitar in a cover band then and knew ever song. Still love listening to them. Well, from Painkiller back anyway.
@@CaptnGeetch guy i work with saw the stained class tour in md. said he was 17.i ssid holy cow i saw em in 82 twice and several other tours afterwards. them and sabbath with Dio and SAXON WERE AND ARE SOME OF MY FAVS I"VE SEEN MANY TIMES

I always loved this song for The Riffs™, but realizing as an adult that Halford technically came out of the closet back in 1977 by releasing this AC/DC-esque sleazy fuck ballad about a CNC gangbang at Fire Island flatout elevated it to my favorite Priest track lmao
Sin after Sin is full of under-appreciated gems (along with seminal masterpieces like Dissident Aggressor, don't get me wrong), one of such is definitely Raw Deal. The riffs, in particular, are masterfully crafted.
Какая крутая песня! Настоящий хард рок! С элементами психоделики! Джудас Прист в 70-ых просто лучшие! Люблю слушать эту песню когда хочется расслабиться и поспать!

@@caroldaronch1974 True, back then you'd say Dave and Jim are such great friends that they live together, sleep in the same bed together and are known for their fashion sense and dinner parties. And people would believe it
Not many band can actually sing a line such as 'Love knoweth no laws' and make an undisputed metal anthem out of it. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 BTW, love the funky vibe from Ian Hill verse & chorus bass line. Prove that JP were not just one trick pony heavy rock - metal guys.
This song is far out! Also, it has some gay lyrics. Other songs with gay themes: Jawbreaker, Grinder, Delivering the Goods, Eat me Alive, Locked In, Hot Rockin', Love Bites, Pain and Pleasure, Turbo Lover.
Island of Domination, Hell Bent for Leather, Devil's Child-- "Your condition breeds ammunition, Shoots me in the face." Ahem. Rarely has a vocalist trolled his audience so well with innuendo while they didn't realise it.
@@DARTHNECRION if you have good equipment, it probably did sound better. I checked out a very early, if not first US vinyl pressing of Sad Wings that my dad owns and it finally sounded like it wasn't recorded with paper plates
okay guys Judas priest the greatest band antology Mr Rob Halford heavy metal good forever yeeeeeah i lovet reaction music video song tanks you very much okay bye bye 👍♥️♥️♥️👌😘😘😘😘😁😀👍
Rock N Roll Hall of SHAME snubbed Judas Priest but Iron Maiden is up ? W.T.F? I like Maiden too, but they followed Judas Priest's footprint. They better not get in before Judas Priest! But they most likely will. Because it's a hall of SHAME. Know what the Country Music Hall Of Fame doesn't have in it? Music that isn't Country! F.U.B.A.R! 🍻
@Robo Cop Wrong, Deep Purple said the same basic thing. Said they wouldn't even go, but they were there! Every band cares when they get in. You missed the whole point it used to be ONLY Rock N Roll. I quit visiting when that changed. SMMFH!
@@nonrevnosnibormetalbeerrev6251 It isn't fans who decides like it was after a band was eligible after 25 years. It's a board of mostly asshats who know nothing about the band's and we fans who made them what they are. Without us and our money ? No band would exist. Judas Priest and DIO have ALWAYS acknowledged we, the fans made them who they are. $20,000 a ticket to go to the award ceremony. Steve Miller wasn't going to go because they gave him two tickets and wanted him to play, but expected his crew and band to pay.
if i were in the market for an 🚁 i would NOT buy from scott cannon of Cannon Aviation...he IS the kind of soul that would take your whole investment bc u missed the last payment....i know first hand from Round Rock "High" 🏫. 😥 to give them NO stars....
