That may be why the judge just cut her off and didn't wait for her to get her audio working. After a statement like that, it's obvious she really doesn't want to be there. And it's a subliminal indication that she doesn't even care about having her kids.

The woman who spoke about the child getting the bus from her home has this entire travesty in one sentence. When the 'mother' accuses her of wanting child support. That's all that matters to these 'parents'. The children are nothing but cash cows to them. It's beyond despicable.

They had no food or water and the house was deplorable. Are these people being charged with abuse and neglect? Judge wants them to have supervised visits when mom said go ahead and kill the kids. What is wrong with that judge? They were removed for two years and then returned, why?
@EatPork76
@EatPork76 Год назад
Exactly! No food, no running water, no electricity! This CPS worker wants us to believe the children were in appropriate condition with no concerns? Two drunk parents, an "extremely deplorable" house and an empty fridge, I'm sure the kids were in great shape. Eye roll I mean it's not like you need running water to wash your hands or flush the toilet...oh wait! I'm sure the bug bites while sleeping the child complained of aren't at all a bed bug infestation... Casually saying 30 days is the best case scenario for Ms. Zorn being approved is irritating too. This whole video pissed me off. The only reason she took her kid back was the thought of paying child support. Wouldn't want to cut into her government assistance. Gross gross gross. Poor kids

Because they believe reunification is best. Regardless of how much it puts the child thru. I've been a foster/adoptive parent for over 30 years. I'm sadly on my last foster children. I just cannot deal with how things have changed over the years. The parents are given so many chances to get it right. Some do and those moments are wonderful! But too many just do the bare minimum and keep getting and losing their children. They go from chaos, weeks to months for them to settle into stability only to be put back in chaos months to years later. And repeat over and over. No one seems to care about how all the craziness effects these children. It does. I've watched children go from babies to teens in and out of care and it never ends with a happy well adjusted teen. Sorry to rant.

Growing up my family was a foster home. We had one baby when he was 2, after a yr and half they sent him back. A few months later we got him back after being in the hospital from his parents burning him all over his body with cigarettes "to teach him not to get in the ash tray". We adopted him but unfortunately he always dealt with severe behavior issues, even as an adult. He was born addicted to meth, had detachment disorder, adhd, later bipolar etc. Despite being in a loving home, the damage his parents did were too great to overcome. So very sad. On a positive note, we adopted 2 other children who are wonderful successful adults now. I saw many parents get their shit together & had successful reunification. But I saw plenty of stufff that was heartbreaking.

Thank God for this relative who the children know and who is willing to take them. I can only imagine the terror and despair of that young girl who thought she was returning to her safe haven only to have her unstable and selfish mother insist on keeping her. Enough with these informal stipulations where seriously unfit parents are allowed to make agreements for placement and then pull the children back into chaos. If I were this relative, I wouldn't be asking mom for permission for the bus; I'd be petitioning the court for legal guardianship. It's a huge commitment, but you just can't properly protect children long-term until the court provides you with legal rights. If this mom and dad are as bad as they sound, I think the relative's guardianship action would likely be successful.

That sad thing about bipolar is, historically, they don't take their meds long term because of how it makes them feel. The highs are great, before the lows come crashing down, and they miss those highs. If they won't take their meds, that's their choice, but they shouldn't have their kids then!

I agree about the safety of children. There are bipolar people everywhere. Most people live very normal lives and nurture their children. They are, however, subjected to the same biological and stressful life events as the rest of us. Life events and medical events can spin any of us out of our safety zones and into crisis. Please have compassion. Most people live normal lives...until they/we don't or can't. Medicine can only help...it isn't a cure.

@sherryd.3425 I agree with you. I have several bipolar friends, & 1 bipolar schizophrenia friend. I have watched them do well, & I have watched them struggle. With 1 in particular, I have watched his children suffer too. At this moment, I am quite concerned about my bipolar schizophrenic friend, as she has just suffered a life shattering loss of an 11 yr old child who has been ill since birth. She seems to be holding on right now, but we are all ready to catch her, should she need us to. Drugs are not always the answer, but sometimes they are. In the end, children should not have to suffer. In the end, we also absolutely need better mental health services around the world!
@JeremiahLOsborne
@JeremiahLOsborne Год назад
Most people diagnosed with bipolar don't have it. Seroquel is a very expensive drug, and psychiatrist just dole out to anybody who says they feel good one day and feel bad the other. And the pharmaceutical companies then give the psychiatrists incentives for prescribing their new comic expensive drugs. And was bipolar disorder, you can describe two drugs, one for the highs, and one for the lows. Cha ching cha ching. Most people diagnosed with bipolar disorder have mood or personality disorders, not chemical imbalances. It's like going to the doctor because you don't know how to walk, but they give you pills for your headache. That's not going to teach you how to walk. In fact, that might make your brain feel even worse.
@KansasCityScientologyAudit
@KansasCityScientologyAudit Год назад
@JeremiahLOsborne I don't disagree with you at all on the big pharma! They wine & dine doctors, whether Psychiatrists or GPs, & drugs are regularly prescribed that may not be needed at all, or a much cheaper version is available. That being said, IF a parent has mental health issues that are effecting, & sometimes traumatizing children, THAT is not fair to the children.

They think about them then but not before or if they do it’s not that important till court. I understand there’s a lot of people who have a very hard time actually coming to grips with the fact of where they are in their lives. It’s mostly the ones with children who I get upset with when they’ve been arrested for the same things over and over and offered help over and over but blow that help…until court…for the 3rd or 4th time but now “realizing” they need to help themselves to be there for their kids. If there are kids involved then they are in the situation as long as you are…unless they’ve either given up their rights or had them terminated. @@patriciaevans5906 If someone is sick, how many chances do you give them? It's obvious that the father is an alcoholic, and Mom has some emotional issues. The children are being neglected, but the adults are also neglecting themselves. That should be an indicator that their behaviors are not directed towards the children. And neither should you be angry with the parents, if you understand that they are sick. You can give a sick person as many chances as You want, but sick people don't make choices to be sick. And if they can get over their problems, so be it. But some people can't. Some people kill themselves because they can't get over their problems. We don't demonize them, but have the utmost empathy. That person has taken a physical action to relieve their pain. Which is the same thing that drug addicts and alcoholics do. That CPS lawyer did all he could to twist words to get that incompetent worker out of trouble. The only good soul in this fight was that lovely neighbor bless her heart for opening her heart and home to these children.

@@doribellan I get what you're saying. Every time I hear things like "very unique" or "I could care less" a small part of me dies. I don't like statements with a question mark on the end. I find it difficult sometimes to know exactly what they're asking but I know it's framed for a particular answer. I guess it should be answered more with a correct/incorrect response. "She doesn't have a job?" I would answer "that is correct" since yes or no would confuse the situation. I'm certainly never going to argue that people should listen more to not only others but mostly exactly what comes out of their own mouth. Words have meanings, no doubt. Gabapentin aka Neurotin ( a seizure med with several off label uses) is a controlled substance. Lyrica (anti depressant with several off label uses) is a controlled substance etc. Seroquel is a somewhat commonly abused drug unfortunately. I've seen it multiple times at the hospital I work at. The most common form of abuse of it would be using it as a means for suicide.
