Judge Cannon has stepped right over showing favor to actively working as a second attorney on direct behalf of Defendant Trump. I don't know who can successfully tear Cannon off of that case, but if there ever was a solid argument for doing so, it is THIS CASE.

As a retired judge I'm gutted by the likes of Cannon, Alito, Thomas, Roberts and the rest. I was so proud to attend the National Judicial College. I was also proud that none of my cases were ever appealed. But my heart is broken by what's happening. There need to be binding ethics on all. There also need to be ways to deal with judges like Cannon who are clearly compromised. And don't even get me started on what needs to be done about the Supreme Court.💔😥

I’ve been a lawyer for about 45 years, not a judge, but I have so much respect for the legal system and am so saddened by the disrepute these judges and attorneys representing the former president have done, all so unethically. It’s not just a disgrace, but a heartbreak to me.

Unfortunately not. She has to issue an order/ruling which is NOT paperless. That way Special Counsel Jack Smith can take it to the 11th Circuit Court for her removal from the case, assuming that the ruling is appealable.

It looks like it from the position of this Brit. There is no functioning DOJ, corruption throughout all levels of the judiciary, a Bar Association that doesn't immediately suspend or disbar corrupt and criminal lawyers from practicising as soon as they are charged or convicted, endless appeals available to the wealthy, no pre-rial detention for the wealthy who can afford to post bail and a political system that has no desire for changes. Nobody in both political parties or within the judiciary are even mooting for desire to debate for changes. So let the corrupt shiteshow continue. What an inept and cowardly sham.

There was a post recently in which a republican judge of the 11th circuit court said, “She (canon) hasn’t done anything wrong for which she should be taken off trumps (FLA) case!” (I paraphrased) Y’all’s Laws really need an overhaul. No politician, judge, nor anyone should be appointed for life. And there has to be Laws added so that ANYONE who breaks the Laws CAN & WILL BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE! Also congress nor any part of the government should be solely responsible for deciding what happens in any case. So that this debacle CAN’T happen AGAIN!!!!

Every judge at her level is appointed by one President or another, and by either a Democratic or Republican POTUS. There's nothing generally untoward about having someone you appointed preside over your case. In 2020 and 2021 when Trump was suing over the election results, his attorneys appeared before judges he appointed, and the judges discharged their duties honorably and without bias.
