Just a note to the people who somehow think JJ didn't let this woman tell her side of the story. She obviously did, but nothing that made any difference. Every time she started to talk it was a long winded story that was of no relevance, when JJ just wanted the facts. She's just mad cause things did not go in her favor.

I certainly have to disagree about your last sentence. She 1000 % let fame go to her head. That actually couldn't be more obvious! She works only 52 days a in a whole YEAR. And gets paid 47 million dollars for it. She told a man who was a defendant or plaintiff (I'm not sure) who already had 2 full-time jobs to find a 3rd job because he still didn't have enough money! She really had the audacity to tell someone to get a 3rd job when she works 2 hours a week! And 52 days in a whole damn year. And yet you're sitting there and trying to tell people that fame didn't go to her head!!!

I don’t get it, the judge rendered her verdict, the case was dismissed (she threw out her lawsuit) meaning case over and she’s still there arguing with the judge? Wow, some people’s sense of entitlement is out of this world.

Things like this make me wish it was a real courtroom so she could be arrested for contempt of court. If they trespassed her and she refused to leave she could be arrested for that but realistically they're not going to do that either they'll probably just wait till she gets bored and leaves.

I have seen over a thousand judge judy cases. And I have seen thousands of outcomes. The only other time I've seen a plaintiff this stubborn is that old lady who was suing the couple that cleaned out her storage because she claimed they took stuff, despite not actually paying them. It amazes me people think that they can talk that way to the judge
You must not have seen the one with the big bald guy who had to be thrown out of the courtroom while yelling at the top of his lungs at JJ. It was crazy…as was he.
This is a TV show not a real court room if they did this to Judge Judy in a real court they would be held in contempt and maybe serve a few week in jail but this is TV and they get away with this shit because of ratings ( money ).
Likely they eventually either threatened to or did call security to get her out of there. Once a judge declares a case to be over and u refuse to leave u can actually be held in contempt which equates to jail time. Of course this isn't that kind of court I know, but this Karen is lucky she didn't pull this in one of those courts.
They probably called the police. Unlike what demonpaw said, Judy can't hold her in contempt because she is not a Judge. She's retired. She is only an arbiter and as such can only settle disputes and kick people out for being unruly.
@@demonpaw11 Except Judy is not a judge. She is retired for 25 years. She is hired to be an arbiter between parties in dispute for the reasons of making this show. As an arbiter, she can't hold people in contempt. She can only kick them out. They would have had to either have security remove that lady or if hands needed to be laid on her, call the police to the studio.

I love the end where she discuss and explains her decision to her granddaughter. That woman has one heck of an amazing learning opportunity. I am curious what she will do when JJ retires.
Queen Judge Judy does not reward bad behavior, she does not care who you are, you won't get away with it in her Courtroom. That is why she is Queen Judge Judy❤️
The audacity of it all. I have been on Judge Judy in the past in 2008, when I was 32 (I won my case and Judy even stated she was surprised how poised and organized I was). If you go on her show, know the following: 1. Be prepared with your evidence. 2. Don't overtalk her 3. Don't use verbiage like "basically" or "ummm".... that makes you sound indecisive 4. Never lose eye contact with Judy. This judge reads body language like an expert and her lie meter is flawless. 5. Show respect for the other side. Judy is a fact gatherer. Do not interrupt, Judy will give fair time to both sides to state their facts. 6. Avoid raising your hand like you are in class. Judy is not a teacher, she is a judge. The other side did a lot of the stuff I suggested not to do and that is why they lost.
I hope you are wrong! They didn't lose because they said "um" too often, they lost, I hope, because they had no case! If there is one thing about JJ, it is that she sees through B's and gets to the relevant facts and decides based on them. Not because she likes a person's preparation or style! She hates lack of evidence, and she hates liars.
They just cut to her outside for the usual after case comments, so she did eventually leave but it was edited so dunnno how long she actually stood there.
Judge Judy has a confidence that comes from mastering her craft and good ole experience. She trusts her instincts. We could all learn from her. Even if she’s wrong, her decision is informed by her time in the courtroom and her time on earth.
I just don't know why she would bring a cheque for 5000 instead of 5500. It is just a little more. I get what JJ says. She did it just because she could, no other reason. She could afford it. She was a hustler.
It's kind of like when u sell something online, agree on the price, and the person comes with less cash than agreed. It wasn't an accident, they did that on purpose to try and get you to sell it for cheaper than agreed.

This is called entitlement. She didn’t follow the procedure and still expects someone else to be responsible for that, to the point where she believes he has to pay out of his pocket for her mistake.
@@blueeyedbatman she skips through the irrelevant factors because it doesn’t effect the outcome. She is looking at each case from a legal standpoint so although all these people suing think they are in the right and they have a whole backstory to give reasons for their actions, they don’t have a leg to stand on in court. She’s seen thousands of cases in her time and to give each person leniency out of sympathy is not part of her job as a judge. At the end of the day all she looks at is who is owed money and who isn’t.
If you listen closely, you can probably hear still standing in the courtroom, arms crossed and angrily tapping her feet as she waits for Judge Judy to return. Heck, she's probably even moved into the courtroom too.
No, as a TV judge she can't. If it was back when she was a judge in Family Court, she could, but here she doesn't have that power. She's actually said that in one of the cases on this show before, in the after case commentary, basically stating she wish she still had the power to do so.

When someone is entitled to relief as a matter of law regardless of "your story," the judge does not need to hear your story just to humor you. Judge had what she needed to rule so she ruled.
I saw this episode. Afterwards you hear the plaintiff give an interview outside the courtroom. The studio must have said they will call the police if she did not leave😂😂
As I am a judge myself I can tell from experience that the parties of a lawsuit often mistake the fact, that someone (the judge) is not sharing their (laymen) legal opinion, for not listening to them. That woman is the perfect example!
She was looking up some proof and as feisty as Judy who does have a tendency to lile her own voice n not let people speak show true colors and let things spil out but her strategy can work Then there was the 1 she let go on4Bout mom 10 to 12 mins some hotel 🏨 fight b4 hearing video that 1 had more stuff in it and things didn't match after part 4 I thibk we still don't know the out come

In California and most of the US, a lease of a year or more needs to be in writing AND SIGNED. What doesn't she understand. Lady, you don't need to speak , the evidence spoke for you😂.
JJ did not need to listen to this woman. JJ already knew from the facts that the Plaintiff had no case, and was trying to defraud the Defendant. This is why the details were irrelevant. All the Plaintiff was trying to do was to convince JJ that she was in the right, but the facts said otherwise. JJ is one smart judge! I wish she would run for President. I'd vote for her immediately.
@Sherlock House Shawty, is a different spelling of shorty, which is a slang term for a woman. Spelling it shawty is usually used to indicate that the writer when speaking uses a southern accent.
