Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash Is Depressing 

To everyone who called me a hater for calling the game bad month's before release, i told you so.

Once Bandai knows that an anime is popular they will know it's gonna make a quick buck

It’s always funny to see Bandai release all these shitty anime arena fighters while also releasing Tekken, one of THE premier fighting game experiences

Jjk would have worked so well as a Guilty gear style 2d fighter, i have no idea why companies have an obsession with these bland 3d arena games..

The amount of people I saw defending this game was just ridiculous. And it's the main reason why this cycle of cash grab anime arena fighters will exist

it sucks cause jjk is perfectly suited for a 2d game like fighterz, megumi is a puppeteer archetype, nobaras a zoner, yuji is a stance swap/rushdown, like the technique just determines what character archetype they are, and with the fast paced fights it is so suited for it, or if you do want a 3d fighter make it more like ninja storm

2:17 It doesn't even fit the source material, Sorcerers can infuse cursed energy into *ALL* their attacks not just cursed techniques,so there isn't a need to separate it and have a whole different bar. Domains and RCT are the only ways they run low on CE otherwise it's basically a non factor.

The gameplay reminds me of Dissidia NT: Team battles where basic attack don’t deal damage, but your specials deal more damage depending on how much basic “damage” you deal.

See, the thing that annoys me the most about 3D arena fighters like these is that they have so much potential to be actually good, but most of time these devs don't care to give these games the proper polish to hit that mark, a shame really.

Why didn't JJK get blessed with an Arcsys game 😢

They could've done something like mortal kombat, a 2d game. And it wouldn't be that bad if they make normal moves + a few abilities. But I really hate this, especially the area walls...

If weebs want better anime games they should stop buying the bad ones. These games sell decently because they have the faces of your favourite anime characters. And weebs will buy anything with anime in it. This is why there is a term in game and media marketing called "the weeb dollar"

Well, it does make sense that Sukuna hurts his teammates. His domain has no barrier and everything is hit with cleave and dismantle until the domain is gone. So i'll give them that.

Good review! Bandai does not like to delay games according to CC2. Out of all the Storm games only Storm 4 got a delay and that was because they were convincing Bandai that developing for the PS3 is a waste of time. Delaying games costs Bandai money. It sad. Byking also didn't "develop" the game but rather oversee Gem Studios who made this game.

Its the fact that they wont take this feedback and use that to make updates that improve the UI and the overall gameplay cash grab is all these AAA companies know and tbh i would rather just play xenoverse 2 as that has much more to offer

Imagine seeing Bandai namco's surprised pikachu face when they ask themselves why did their game crash in sales. Then again, they'll just move on to making another game.

If Jujutsa RBI, which is a reskin of RBI baseball themed after Jujutsu Kaisen, is included as a bonus game in the higher tier editions of Cursed Clash? You know that you've failed.

I gave at a chance because I found it at $40. Also because I was much okay with knowing Byking is behind Hero One's Justice. Honest feedback, it isn't as bad. But yes, it's still bad for its pricetag. Don't expect that you're paying for its Story Mode, you're supposed to be there only for the Gameplay, but Gameplay itself is clunky. The Curse Meter is Unique, but the actual combat and flow made it bad. It's a Dissidia-ish Mechanic with 2v2 JStars Style which is why it fell so bad. Gundam Extreme VS Force is a 2v2 but the gameplay is very very fast. You're dodge cancelling left and right which also rely on Boost Management (Dash/Dodge Meter) if you want to extend your Combos or use it defensively. I'm honestly against people saying Arena Fighters are bad because Dissidia (OG/012) and Extreme VS Force are on top of my list, but dang JJK Cursed Clash really sting. I still enjoy it, but at $60 it definitely isn't worth it. Getting it at $40 is still slightly off but I wanted to give it a chance.

Does Bandai own the rights to make games for these properties? Why are they the only ones who make these games because I'd rather see Arcsys do a FighterZ style game for JJK, or at least have Cyberconnect make more games

We haven't learned a single thing from Jump Force. And its a damn shame.

You didn't mention the Co-op. Also apparently the Dragon Ball Sparking Devs are saying no Split Screen is a issue due to Sony/Microsoft, so its possible the same thing happened for Cursed Clash.

Unpopular opinion i love destructible stages in arena fighters, I was kinda sad when i realized storm 4 and storm connections didn't have destructible stages

Honestly I don’t see why they don’t let cyber connect do all of these games, they really the only ones doing it right in the arena fighter category. I’m a die hard storm fan and playing one’s justice and cursed clash just made me sad bc I know what they could’ve been.

Another character I felt that should have been added was Junpei. There was no excuse why he couldn't be a playable character too. They did him real dirty in the story mode. Like, instead of fighting Junpei, they just excuse both his fight and death through text. Just text. They just skim right through it. As if Junpei wasn't that important. KEEP IN MIND that ALL the fights in Season 1 leading up to the Junpei Arc is a fighting battle in the game. Even the most irrelevant ones. But the Junpei fight..."Nah We skip it."

I will scream this into the void as often as I need to, this should’ve been a 2v2 2D fighter in the style of FighterZ. And it should’ve been realized either after Shibuya or during the Culling Games bc yeah. Would’ve been easy money but I guess they put out really disappointing nonsense

My main problem with this game is the team aspect when I saw the trailer for the game I thought it was gonna have assist like storm connections but I was wrong if you don’t have somebody to coordinate with you are with randoms and it really sucks because there’s no skill involved like I’m attacking one person then there teammate attacks from behind or I’m about to do a finishing blow but then behind me I get ulted and for because my other teammate can’t make up there kind on who they want you fight I don’t mind floatiness I liked ones justice 2

The execution of damage is kind of like Dissidia Final Fantasy, but not as satisfying

The grind to special grade was literal hell. Fighting 3000 sukuna/ gojos was unbearable

You see the difference between storm connections/ storm 4 and Cursed Clash is the story is for currency in cursed clash and the story in storm 4 is for characters and animation. Also the combat in cursed clash is buggy to prevent infinite combos due to broken moves and combos. Good review and honest but I still like it.

They expected us to pay 60 bucks for this. Other then how the characters play, there isn’t really much to write home about this game.

I tried giving this game a try , it was ok . Online battling gave me a headache with how laggy and delayed it felt .

This is a £15-20 game. There needs to be some kind of independent body pricing these games (Who can't be swayed by bribes)

Its always weird to see a anime series get a game because the game is always going to be behind the anime whether by 1 season or a few seasons just to sell you more DLC if it does well

I feel the problem with arena fighters is most anime just aren't good fits as they don't really fight in a way to exploit the arena to their advantage, personally I think Marvel and DC would be better fits as like I can see Spider-Man being like a Hit&Run character using his web-shooters to get in and out melee range and slow/stop opponents movements.

Maybe even a battle royale style jujutsu kaisen would’ve been interesting

I just spent 7 hours straight playing the story mode from start to finish including side quests and everything else. It's not a good game. I could go on forever, but I'm also looking to make a video summarizing my thoughts

The gameplay feels just the same as J-Stars, but with not nearly as much liberty in destroying the scenario

Hopefully we get a jjk fighter that is actually good in the future

byking never had a high budget. my only real issue is the price they still did a good job with the combat despite some issues. also the combos to do damage is based on wall bounces. thats why maps like the plaza or the ruins are the good ones.

They need to add new co op modes that don’t require a load screen between waves or adventure co op mode . And work on the mechanics . They need to give the dlc free because the story mode is terrible

I find myself saying it alot but, is anyone shocked? These japan comic games are always generally rushed with a tight deadline to have the fad print money. It took ark system works to step in to get the dragon ball formula right. Mostly all those games were a burp.

i usually love anime arena fighters, but this one takes the cake with how bad an arena fighter can get, it is at the same lvl as jump force

Honestly, CyberConnect2 should have made this game. The presentation, and gameplay would have been better imo. Like, even though I liked it less than Storm, a JJK game that plays like Hinokami Chronicles would have been really good. Not to mention, the story mode would have had nice cutscenes and be a good way to experience the story.

So disappointing. We want video games to come out of our favorite anime shows but when they turn out like this, they get bad reviews and no one buys them. Which probably shows stake holders that anime games don't sell. So we just continue to get budget flops. The truth is: BAD anime games don't sell.

Im aware about the game but dont care or want to get update about it with “If I feeling to buy infuture I’ll buy”, but surprised read article headline 100k refund request within 4 days of releases. If Tekken 8 got closed beta twiced dispite popularity and always good mechanics, then they should do the same for newest game to. Just a small opinion of me tho.
