This is the video that changed my life. Discovering Julien in 2016, led to discovering Phoebe, and then later Lucy. Today, boygenius is nominated for 7 Grammys. Seeing each of these artists grow over these years has been such an honor and I’m grateful to live at the same time as them.

I'm so proud of Julien. I knew her in high school, and it was obvious even those years ago that she had a musical career ahead of her. Like when someone you know in high school hits success, sometimes you feel jealousy, sometimes you feel disdain and that they don't deserve it. Julien, though. Every time I see how much traction she's gained with her music, I'm just filled with unbridled joy.

There is something so special about this video that enthralls me. The ambiance of the abandoned building. Lyrics about trying to keep up but not jump the gun. Something about the aura of it’s juxtaposition hits me like a wave of nostalgia

I just noticed that this is a one-taker! Took me several minutes to figure out that they didn't use rails or anything but filmed it with a drone (her hair is waving because of the propellers)... :) Beautiful video, beautiful song!

I kind of felt her lyrics were more interesting than Keaton's. Also, the reverb values when she plays live makes each note pop off in a fantastic way. I did like Keaton's voice, but that melody has been used all over the place. How I knew that melody was from Death Cab for Cutie's Passenger Seat. I think overall both the artists played intersting pieces and shoud be seen individually.

This is me describing my trip with eyes closed in bed. It's like endless stormy waves converted into bare emotions. Literally breath taking.. I saw my self walking in this huge clearing at sunset and suddenly this powerful gust of wind just wants to take me with it.. It was a scary feeling but somehow I knew I wanted to be taken wherever tf this wind wants to take me.. The song is so short but godamn it felt like hours of constant waves just crashing into my chest. Near the end I was out of breath. I was gasping for air. My body was literally going into panic mode for some reason. Like I was puking up something .. or possibly someone from in the back of my mind. Idk. Julien, what a gift u have given us with this track. I know it's already been 5 years or so since this album dropped but godamn. This is simply timeless. What a track. What an absolute monster of a track this is. Phew.

I know I'm super late to this but I only recently found this Julien's music and I'm in love but, I thought this beautiful song was very similar to the style dashboard confessional has and I found out they covered it and I'm just so happy about that I don't know why it's her song and her voice is beautiful but to know a band ive loved for years did a cover of this amazing song is so so cool and shows just how talented and amazing she is

It's amazing the ways we can find new music. For my Psych class, I had to write a short one page paper for current events and the topic was substance abuse.
