when hauling a boat from the ramp always place your truck in 4X4 if you have a 4x4 to prevent the truck from rolling into the water when the rear wheel slip this way will prevent your front wheel from spinning unlike when on 2-wheel rear drive (parking brake only applies on rear wheels).
