You know, I am one of the few people who actually liked the Golden Compass movie (lame, I know 😅), and ever since (which was a 1000 years ago at this point) I've wanted to read the series. And I was a bit worried that I might not like it at this stage of my life but in all honesty, I don't think I would've appreciated it as much as a child. 😊 You are so kind, Cat! ❤️ Thank you for the lovely words! You look great for a +1000-year-old 🤣 yes, it definitely hits differently as an adult. I don't think I realised how dark it actually was reading it as a kid. But that's also what makes those books so great: they still work at different ages! I love your "rambling", don't change a thing! 💛

The fact that you share it for free is also incredibly generous...I'm sure people would absolutely pay for it if you chose to do so but I'm grateful you just. make it available. Oh, thank you so much, Carisa! 💖 And please give it a try! It's so much fun! I never used to set up a TBR and was a notorious mood reader but that made sure I always read the same books. With this, I sometimes surprise myself with the books I choose. Well, I am a team manager in a tech company 😅 You know, I'm not opposed to making money of something like this, especially given how many hours went into its making. However, I don't own the game license for LOTR, so selling it would be illegal. But I do love the IP and I want to share this with people. As long as they are enjoying it, I am happy 😊✨

It did take quite a bit of time but it was so much fun to make! 😊 Well, I think the prompt cards themselves are my favorite because they are the most related to Middle Earth in general. And because, even though I made them, I still like the element of surprise as to what I'm going to get. 🃏 Also, completing collections is just so satisfying, for some reason. I started reading Empire of the Damned yesterday, just one chapter, and so far... very graphic smeksy times. 😅 Otherwise, I love the character summaries he provided in the beginning because I had forgotten EVERYTHING from book one. I'm even considering rereading it.... Thank you and have a great reading (and in general) month yourself! 💖

I love this version that you came up with! Different enough but just as exciting. Your ultimate goal in the last one was to collect all the characters. Do you have one in mind for this game? Also, I was going to say you could call the quicksand tiles "Dead Marsh" or something like that but then I saw you had quicksand written on your prompt cards and stuff so feel free to ignore that suggestion!

Thank you so much, Justyna! You are so kind! ❤️ Well, I wanted to make a new version for when I gather the fellowship ever since I made the first game. And I knew I wanted it to be called The Two Libraries (since I was already going for a word-play thing). Then I looked through the main boardgame mechanics and I've always liked the "reach a location" ones the best. So I went with it. And the design itself - frankly, I just go with the flow when it comes to it. I made so many other version before this one, you won't believe 😅 I loved the color scheme first, then the isometric style, then the idea of an "island on land", and then little by little things came together. I am so happy you liked it! 💖
