I got a notification from google youtube today if i can remember to have watched this video and then was asked "how funny it has been" weird question if that was very funny, but I replied the survey fully (just the 2 questions) and got 0,22 € for that. I had seen this on my android phone in the notifications before, these surveys but this one was just 4 hours ago so i started the survey and got already paid - playstore points / money of cause. Just to let you know: I judged it as very funny even though it was more interesting and educational than funny except maybe your scratching part if that is metal or not which looked really funny cause you had a hard job or the chinese have come quite a long way to make plastic look and feel like metal or give the impression at least for parts built in. lot easier if that is only 1 piece in your hand instead looking for pieces in an assembly if those are metal or not. metal or not - that verse reminded me of a fugees song of 1996 or so called "ready or not" But maybe others have also gotten such survey about this video if that has been fun or not. The last time they asked me if I own a house or have rented what soever. owning meant that the survey was over and brought 8 cent - not 22 cent, which means your youtube video was worth more than the previous question about owning a house or renting.

Just got my Jumper T14 in yesterday and will be trying it out soon. so far so good. I am used to the gamestyle controller like the jumper TPro but wanted to try this out and see if I like this better. Keep it up Ian, love your content. Definitely one of my favorite people to watch.

@@richardbowman6227 for the T14? I bought some 5500mah 21700 batteries and they last a good while. The biggest drawback on the Jumper T-pro for me is the batteries die pretty fast- well either that or I just want to keep flying for a long time lol

I have the T14 with AG01 installed. Just like the T20, the wiring color doesn't match radio master's so use the same wire diagram from the T20 mod. The T20 you need to cut the top corners of the gimbals while on the T14 you need to cut the bottom corners. They fit a little better in the T20 but works just fine in the T14 as well. I am not using any 3D printed adapters. Question for you Mads: How can I find out when any new firmware comes out for the T14? I'm really hoping they fix the radio turning on when you start charging with the radio off. My only complaint really. Thx

Started with Spektrum then went to Tango2 bought a Boxer multi with a Nano exprs modual and then then I got a jumper T-pro that doesn't seem to work when ever you set up a mopdel. Use of XtX is a major pain. I have been lured into getting all this wonderful stuff which isn't easy to use though I like flying drones. Everything seems to be going the way of Express and what I really like about the Jumpe-T is that it comes loaded with Express which saves a pain in the butt with the configureter. I would go DJI but I hate the Chinese gov so much..

How do you adjust the tension on the sticks? Can you adjust the throw as well?

I assume I can override the trims and they each become four-way momentary or four two way momentaries? I use Yaw-Trim-Right as Pre-Arm on the Boxer and have grown to like this.

Thank you... the most important are the gimbals. not close to radiomaster. i think the corner buttons on the boxer are better placed, you can put your finger on the radio, not on the button.

I had to mod my Boxer to replace the SE corner button with a 2pos switch - there is an STL on Thingiverse. I used SE for arming and it's pretty inconvenient to disarm because you need to adjust your gimbal grip to reach the button. Also in an emergency hitting a switch is much faster than pressing and depressing a button.

Hi! I was mailing back and forth with jumper support about installing a backpack module. Whether I need an E82 and what type of plug I need for it. They said the hardware only has reserved interfaces and DIY will be very difficult. In the end they notified me they are gonna sell a backpack module very soon. Good news, Fingers crosssed!

I still wonder about the UK prices you had mentioned cheaper than our usual Ali Express sellers. We will wait an get one in may or june just to get the second batch and not the first one.

I think they spent on the oled screen and the 1w elrs and tried hard not to cut too many corners on the rest and still be boxer-ish. They probably made a good gamble IMO. It's cheap enough and small enough to throw in a backpack with a small drone or plane strapped to your back and do cheap longish-range fpv or whatever, and if you TX wears out kind of fast with those not-really-cnc gimbals, oh well, it was nice enough while it lasted but only $99. If I didn't have a tx16s I was happy enough with (I do find it a bit large), I'd consider this probably.

Was about to say I dont like it because just like the boxer, it has buttons on the corners for arming and I much prefer switches, then Jumper read my mind and included switches in the box! I bought my girlfriend the jumper T20 recently and I have been impressed with the quality and feel of that radio and if I ever retire my X9D it will be for something like the T14. Damn you Jumper! You are probably going to get more of my money very soon! 🤣

Ian, 2 Questions: 1) Does the radio fit back in the case after you changed the shoulder button? It looks like it sticks out a bit. 2) Do you think the smaller CNC metal gimbles can fit in that radio?

Yes it will go in the case. As for the smaller CNC ones no not without a mod. The RM AG01 ones may fit but need more testing.

@@MadRC Oh those are FULL size gimbles? I thought they were the smaller ones. Would be cool to know if they do fit, because then there would be no reason to spend the extra for the faux CNC ones, just get the cheaper $90 version and replace em.

I love my t20s. I would say this looks good, but I think the 2 switches on the top-left and 2 switches on the top right are way too close to eachother given their position on the shell

this may be on my short list. I saw a review on this last week, and he got the comparison of the t14 and the boxer quite wrong, saying the boxer only had 250mw. I assume honest mistake, but its a big one if you are doing a comparison. Im inbetween just getting a new RM module for my TX12 and continuing on with my life.

For my needs, I ALMOST came to the conclusion that the T14 would be a better candidate for my secondary/plane transmitter primarily for my T1 VTOL. My daily is the Tango 2(still love it after all these years), but is not ideal for Ardupilot, or planes in general. Like I said ALMOST, that is until I noticed that it doesn’t have the darn FIVE POSITION SWITCH (over top the screen). They ALMOST had a win with me. I also like their antenna and screen better than the Boxer. Also cheaper. So close…

It will take a standard JR bay but they do have a nano adapter.

The only thing I don't like about this radio is that there's only 2x 3 position switches. With how I setup my quads I really need 3 minimum.. They should have made the replaceable switches 3 position IMO.

I got my Jumper T14 with simple hall gimballs 2 days ago and checked OLED display in bright sunlight comparing with my 2014 Taranis X9D. I must tell you that Taranis LCD is much readable than T14 on sunlight. In particular angle in sunlight, T14 oled screen is not readable at all. On the other hand, T14 is comfy in hand, light weight, fine gimbals compering to Taranis x9d. It seems well-built, quality product. Large capacity li-ion 21700 firmly fits into its battery holder and it does not rumble. Advice: watch out for right polarities when you place the batteries. 1 usb-C connector is awesome for me since it charges during connected to PC. Cons: Cooling fan seems pretty noisy and vibrating even at 25mw.

Since the Original Jumper T16 Crappy Build Quality Fiasco, I will never buy a Jumper Radio. I Chose a much higher Quality Built RadioMaster TX16S and have never looked back.
