Not sure if you were around when we were going through the process of selecting a grinder, but we were looking at a grinder that could hold a 98mm burr initially, but, after extensive discussions with our grinder guy, we opted for a 64mm burr set because it felt like the one most people could relate to (a lot of that due to the popularity of the Ode). Believe the MP are V2, it just never specified on our work order/the site itself

Coffee Chronicler did a test commenting on the 2 in Red Speed, he preferred the "V1". I asked CC why he chose the red speed over silver knight, and he said he went with what he already had on his MPv2. Soon after I reached out to Hansung of SSP, who recommended the V1 Silver Knight over Red Speed for light roast pourover. I think it's also known as "SSP brew". I almost ordered a set for $220 plus shipping, but went with a set of MP V2 with 10lbs through them for $150. Going into an Ode Gen 2.

@@JusBThankful yeah, I was trying to catch second hand MP V1(because of Chronicler video and Brian spreadsheet). And after 2 months of nothing, I ordered Silver Knight V1.

@@Alyosiki nice. I decided to try MPv2. I grabbed a used set for $150. I may run a few lbs through them and go V1. (extremely) initial impressions after probably 70lbs through Ode gen 2 burrs, first cup of MP you can grind much finer, and the difference in clarity is veery apparent. I don't miss the body I've lost, I'm actually glad as it seems to be an obvious by product of a cleaner cup. And this was a medium light coffee from S&W, can't wait to try my light/nordic light Sey and Manhattan offerings.

Logically, it makes a lot of sense for us to have a hand grinder, too, especially one as common as the Comandante. Interestingly, we've heard similar things from others about a preference for the 1Zpresso. For consistency sake, it makes sense to work with a universal workhorse grinder (hence the 64mm burrs) but recipe translation ideally works better if you're able to replicate grind size as well of course. All of this to say, we'll likely add a hang grinder eventually 🤔

Be sure you will enjoy the experience: smell the coffee while grinding, do the whole process... I really love it. I have a electric grinder but use the 1zpresso still. If you check last world brew champions it is hard been a winner last years, also in aeropress. The Zp6 and the K-max or ultra are incredible for brew or aeropress (I don't like a lot aeropress coffee). By the way: I was worried about drinking too much coffee but I see you are a heavier drinker 😂😂 Thanks again!
