June Patch - Phase 1 of the Requisition rework and big Guild War changes!

Far too polite here Nandy. the new req. progress bar sucks ass. New players need forever to get much needed Units, by the time they get there they might as well already have them. Completing the full progress bar will take several years, which is a joke. Especially cause older players need to start from "zero" with the count. all the requisitions that have been used will not count toward that progress, making the time to complete it even longer. By the time the player will have completed that progress bar, he is very likeley to have all characters anyway. You should point that out to the devs! This is effin insane and EVERYBODY on the Discord agrees. There is literally NO ONE liking this.

Hello Nandi, I understand why you don't want to say out too loud what everyone else thinks of the "rework" of req scrolls : you want to keep SP partnership by not being too criticizing. But let's face it : the math you've done is *best case" scenario, and even with that it feels unrewarding for new players. Just because it's "added free stuff" doesn't mean it's a good rework. The pulls themselves have not been changed. Otherwise, great work for the patch note recap, as always, love to see your videos :)

I hate that SP calls this a requisition system "rework." It is not a rework, simply an added reward. The requisition "system" works exactly the same so this doesn't really solve any of the existing problems. I also do not get why SP is so adamantly against SELECTABLE rewards. Let people choose shards and characters. I'm pretty sure Azrael isn't a priority for the vast majority of newer players.

The fact that the 300 req scrolls I've already used count for nothing, is a real kick in the teeth. They need to cut the amount of scrolls needed in half and retroactively credit all players for what they've already used. There's almost no avenue for someone who has largely completed all elite campaigns to get req scrolls now so we can never really advance this tracker. Not that the rewards are anything to write home about either.

So fresh lvl 50 here, who will get only 7 scrolls every 5 weeks since I will buy way less BP in the future. Let's do the maths, with 5 weeks long seasons, we have 10 seasons a year, which means 70 scrolls a year. 1100 scrolls are needed to get the final reward. 1100/70 is more than 15 years. If you buy every single premium BP, you can get up to 140 scrolls year, this is still more than 7 years... With this kind of features, game will be long dead way before.

For the requisition rework it’s a shame that players that have played for a while like myself, who have already earned the scrolls from completing campaigns and timed missions, will miss out on the new requisition rewards compared to players just starting. Older players are at a disadvantage here as they will be higher up the level cap and already completed campaigns and mission levels so their ability to gain scrolls is much reduced.

The rework on the Reqpulls is just a kick in the face.

Minor correction the second TA won't allow the MoW just the power up one. very unhappy about them being in the only true PvP mode.

they need to add something for old players that actually run this game its ridiculous when we spend all this money and there spitting in our faces with this new rework that will take new players so damn long just to try to catch up but existing players get nothing since the only scrolls we get is battle pass and ultra battle pass

What I’d like to see is instead of character specific shards, I get to choose the 50 or so shards I want for a specific character locked behind rarity. So if I get to choose 250 epic character shards, I can choose between Azrael, Jaeger & so on. It allows players to catch up to guild mates or build the characters they want. As someone who just unlocked Jaeger I’d love to rush him fast.

Do you think we will get more reset cubes? I think after all the changes: redevelopment of Orks and Black Templar, the impact of guild war, the huge swing in team building that the mechanics characters have made and the over all information available to new players being far superior to what I knew when the game had been out three months. I would love 2 (or honestly 4) reset cubes to rework places I have massively over invested! Love the videos.

This is a great video and at the same time disconcerting regarding the requisition re-work. SP may need to review this mechanic at the next update because it is not received well.

Thanks for the update! As someone who’s had horrible luck on requisition pulls (looking at you Rotbone), I like the guaranteed characters. That being said, I’m curious to see phase 2, as I’m no longer a “new player.”

Man, that reward track needs to be cut down by 50-60% if it's going to be helpful to anyone. Over a thousand reqs to hit the end? You gotta be yanking my chain, Snowprint lol What I'd consider the most important part of the new patch wasn't covered by Nandi here: salvage runs now give Machine of War components (from the crates you defeat mid-run). This is huge, but an important tidbit is that they follow the equipment drop system already in place (Imperial salvage runs give Xenos items & components, Xenos runs give Chaos, and Chaos give Imperial). This is a big help for relieving pressure on the newest bottleneck they'd hit us with, and actually encourages players to get in there and do Chaos Salvage runs for once -That Maladus Guy

So, I'm assuming Morvenn Vahl, Yarrik and the poxwalker guy are gonna be way ahead there. Past the 11 year mark. Lovely.

Though the requsition system was created for new players, hope even long term players will get their benefits, unloked Azrael for example...

Been playing since day 1, just reached lv50 account a couple weeks ago. Still cannot finish FoC mirror elite, nor Octarius Elite or mirror Elite. Never hit anywhere close to the final chest in TA except that one time it ran a week long. Besides Kharne, still have 10 characters locked. And now this isn't retroactive. I know many in my guild are in similar situations. This is quite a disappointing roll out. Saying that only for the devs to read. Always appreciate the content and info. Very grateful Tacticus isn't a P2W game, but what can be paid for is largely disappointing. I'll stick to my Blackstone delivery packs and keep grinding. Hope they make this better down the road.

Exactly what GW needed in terms of rarity caps. Very, very happy there. Will also like tracking who has used how much. I know some of our members are the late night crew, they have pulled off wins where I expect losses because they all saved until the end, and I simply would never know they were the ones with tokens left to spend. to the DA character: PLAAAASMA. yes, good. Requisition rework will be cool in a year when I get the first unlock from it.

The Enlisted data on the Guild War Status page is a welcome improvement. Do the Activity and Archive tabs now show data, too? Does GW show data on defense teams yet, at least how many tokens they took to defeat? It's impossible to improve defense without knowing how it did. I suppose I can guess based on how many points the opponent scored on it, but that could hide the fact that they might have used a much more powerful team to defeat mine.

I have used over 300 requisitions and have saved about 80 since last Christmas. My total capacity of requisitions has been about 424. I’m disappointed that the previously used requisitions don’t mean anything. I get that is SP’a position but…wow. It’s startling to see it as well and then recognize my losses. As a Day1F2P I’m…more than disappointed with this reveal from SP. AND I WAS aware that this rework was supposed to be “for new players.” I suppose in this way…that it’s definitely not for older players….makes me agree with SP. ITS SEVERELY shocking and perhaps I needed that shock.

I was getting close to quit the game, i m just burn out with all the overlapiping events, LRE, TA, etc, maybe this will keep me playing a bit more, but the game is feeling like work, i m not even completing the missions, the TA last one i dont even care to get to the 250 points like before, didnt even get to half of it, last khorne character i barely unlocked him, LRE now is getting frustrating, you see i lost a couple of tickets because the game crashed, i m a leader of a clan that can't play the guild war because most of the players dont reach the lvl 20 and new players leave the game, so its hard to get invested....well thats are my thoughts as always great content Nandi.

Being able to dump your data into Tacticus Planner rather than putting things in by hand is *huge* and would be great. Either by a dump or a copy paste of your information.

Hope the Dark Angel's faction synergy gets fleshed out a bit. Seems split between overwatch, supression, and plasma damage right now. Kinda wish they'd pick one or two yknow? 😅

Req rework is a joke. If it's going that way further - I'll just leave. That's a straight up disrespect to all the players

I'm Level 26, and the scroll track may as well not exist for what I will be unlocking in the next year. I can't tell if I miss out less, or more, than a level 50, because I can't complete most events.

Why is the Dark Angel release pattern different? I know they mentioned it in one of the explainers but i didn’t read it.

As long as the stupid imperial guard troopers and the overly strong defensive buffs exist in guild wars, the mode is shit, I play it only if I have basic default bases to hit, otherwise it's not worth my time or stress. The new requisition track better be retroactive, otherwise it's yet another slap in the face from SP.

I am happy they are considering new players. These games need whales to sustain the model yes but without the casual hordes their lifespan are severely shortened.

Isn't the rogue trader shop the same thing as this new req system that kinda blows? Only difference is that the new one incentivises requisitions a lot more obviously.

I would never get the TA scrolls. I have pretty much given up on this Mode, because It just feels like to much work I have to put into it.

Now I only need to become RU-vidr few days and new requisition bar is filled. Otherwise it is a joke ;)

I just want them to remove orbs, even legendary, from the reqs. I had one pull where 8 of them were uncommon orbs.

if only i saved up all my requisitions from when i started playing just under 2 months ago, would be much easier to get these rewards. now it seems like new players will fly by me

That requistion plan is terrible. It is not motivating in anyway for new players or existing. Maybe whales might get a bit excited for it but in reality if you are whaling on Tacticus you are not going overly care about those meager rewards. What they should do instead is a 100 drop cycling step up. So every 10 x 10 pulls you complete 1 go through the track and reset. There would be a different reward at each step. Orbs, coins, ammo, gear it would be fine. However step 10 gives you a shard token. The shard token lets you redeem X shards for a character of your choice from a list. They set the prices so if its a character they want to stay rare its less. Newer characters take a while before they appear. This would let you work towards characters you want or are unlucky you never got. I have been playing a year and got all but the leg character drops except for Pestillian. I have no way to work towards him and such a system would help.

It is not that I hate the requisition addition (as you said, it is more free stuff), it is just... it seems insignificant. About 500 requisitions for Isa? Never gonna get that. Revas, after a year and a half for new player, if they do everything right. It is just like... whatever, do not care... New info for GW is great change, I love it. DA terminator looks great, I hope he is good character, do not need him to be OP, just good. :)

It's called a catch up mechanic, all gacha type games have that, it's to prevent new players from being too intimidated to start the game because the player base has been playing for so long, usually it takes the form of a lot of free opening (requisition if tacticus had decided to do the same) It's actually fine if they do a catch up mechanic, the issue with this one is that the milestones are so extreme/ridiculous people calculated that it would take 11 YEARS to complete as a fresh new f2p player It's good to point out an issue in your game, but here everybody is actually missing the real issue while saying thinking "oh its advantaging new player, boo !" Yeah that's the point, the issue here it's that its not actually advantaging new players, its only really advantaging whales period....

Lol the req rework is so dumb it hurts. Unless you get bp (ultimate gives 20 overall across ftp track and ptp track per month), you’re looking at maybe 5-6, 7-8 if lucky, req pulls per month as a ftp player. Especially once leaving the handholding stage early on. Nice one snowprint, one step forwards two steps backwards

I don’t like tourney arena and I’m not the only one that doesn’t like how it is pay to win and impossible for any benefit for lower tier f2p players. I wish it wasn’t so terrible to play and it isn’t even an event I look forward to putting time into. This doesn’t change my perspective and I wish they would stop pushing it so hard. Fix other things with QoL improvements so I can enjoy my f2p experience without having pay to win be blatantly obvious.

Requisition rewards in its current form doesn’t make any sense at all. Someone wrote it takes about 8 years to unlock all content. So Snowprint should keep this characters for 8 years? That’s just stupid. Instead they should give bonus chest or random character shards after a number of requisitions. Would make so much more sense.

I think you are a bit too optimistic when it comes to the number of free requisitions you get as a free to play player. Most casual players won't max on tournaments every time. Also, the new guild war changes just makes it easier to police the low activity/casual players. That is not making the game more fun. But more toxic.

This system is a joke. Req scrolls are finite. Even if you spend tons of money, this system doenst reward you. Free my ass! Getting 10 uncommon orbs from 55 pulls? Req drops are shit even without this feature. They need to obliterate 5-10 shard drops from there

The new req milestone system is just bad. It's a great idea and could have been an easy win for SP if they'd just taken all those numbers and divided by 5. Now they've got the community pissed off at then instead because it looks so greedy.

So lets say you already have unlocked most campaigns and the non elite missions, you pretty much screwed because none of the req pulls you have done will be taken into account and you wont get any of the "fixed" req rewards back so it will take you way longer to unlock anything in the milestones, and even if you are a new player that "one year" time calculation assumes you will play every single day and wont miss a since event or battle pass step. You are been waaaaaaaay too "nice" Nandi, this is a really bad milestone reward system that pretends to reward the new players buy in reality "rewards" only the most obsessed players
