Since Black Ish is ending, they probably broke them up to set Junior up for his own story in Grown Ish. Yes, he’s becoming a regular in Grown Ish next season!

Flipping called it. Almost a year ago exactly, I left a comment on one of these Black-ish videos titled "Junior tells Olivia he loves her" predicting they were gonna break up. And look at that, that's exactly what happened. Ah yes, it feels so satisfying when you know a relationship isn't going to last because it's not a real relationship. Because let's be honest, Olivia and Junior were pretty much only a couple so the writers could explore social issues that young couples experience. And now that that Junior is going to be in Grown-ish they can't have him be in a committed relationship. They need to keep him single so they can write terrible stories about him getting into all sorts of relationship drama. Olivia was never a true character, she was a tool to drive the plots focused on Junior forward. And now that she's no longer needed she has been cast aside. It's a sorry way to go but inevitable when the writers only intend for you to be tool to drive the plot. Too bad Olivia couldn't have gotten better writers to actually make something of her.

This could have worked, really. Why couldn't the writers have imagined them working together? Seeing them make it work? That they broke up is the easy way out.🤔

I know he's going over to "Grown-ish" but he needs to stay away from Sky and that whole lil clique - them chicks' relationship stats are messy af!

Even though I couldn't stand olivia she was so annoying to me and I am glad they broke up I still feel bad for junior at the end he can't catch a break she got his hopes up talking about how they can make it work and then dumps him I think she is going to make another appearance i hope he doesn't t take her back and moves on and don't look back I hope the grown ish writers gives him better story lines becuz blackish did not do anything with his character since they had him dropped out of college his character started out with so much potential
