Jurassic Park has always been one of my favorite movies since I was younger. I had not watched it in many years, but upon re-watch, I was reminded just how much I loved the movie. Join with me as we relive the amazingness that is Jurassic Park, focusing mostly on the emotional excitement and plot pay off that make this movie amazing.
Arguably, Jurassic Park is the best movie of all Dinosaur movies.
Also, if you would like to catch another sighting of the velociraptor featured throughout this video, please check out:

This is incredibly off-topic, but your hair color is insanely awesome. Ok, and yes, when Sam Neil turns Laura Dern's head while she's GEEKING OUT over the prehistoric plant (because they're about to be stepped on by a brachiosaurus) I was hooked.

Woo some Jurassic Park love :) ! Awesome video :) Ellie is one of my fav fictional characters of all time, and it started my love of icon Laura Dern Fun fact, in english in second year of high school this was one of our "texts" we had to analyse, so we watched this film hundreds of times. That and the first Shrek film

This movie is amazing!!! Once I finished this video I clicked the subscribe button. as an aspiring palaeontologist, I find few things cooler than watching Dinosaurs. So much is inaccurate, and a lot of the inaccuracies where even known about at the time of making of the movie. Of course it doesnt matter though, its worth suspending your disbelief! I'm not sure if I just missed it or not, but did you mention the scene were they first see the Brachiosaurus and Hammond goes "welcome to Jurassic Park". The goosebumps that moment gives me! I have plans for my own sci-fi series involving a world taken over by prehistoric creatures and a Last of Us type narrative. Jurassic Park is the greatest movie ever.

omg that story idea is fantastic!! I would read the crap out of it! The science is definitely better described in the book, but I also know it's probably not perfect, but without the knowledge, I can't be sure either

Appreciate the extensive recap. Not sure if I could give a better argument for...I was just going to make up a title for a Land Before Time 8 movie, thinking there was only 5 of them max, and it turns out there's 14 Land Before Time movies. lol Haven't seen Jurassic Park since I was a kid, and I don't remember it outside of the velociraptor kitchen scene but I remember slime being popular. One of my favorite things as a kid was cornstarch slime. When you describe Jurassic Park as Genius, are you referring to it's overall craftsmanship or did it influence your thinking? I'm asking in reference to your previous video about why you like fiction. Also, when determining the quality of a film, do you assess it from a more objective standpoint? And if, so what is the criteria? Because, based on I remember, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't agree with that list of best movies. I just recently watched X-Men: Origins Wolverine for the first time and it's currently on my mind as a favorite movie since I'm on recent movie hype mode, but there's no way I consider it one of the best (It's either a 5/10 or 6/10). I'm running on a shaky memory, and I could have a completely different opinion upon re-watch, but these are movies that I thought were objectively well constructive movies on whatever framework I was going by at the time (I might agree that Jurassic Park is one of the best once I re-watch it but I'm not sure if it will compete with the long lost copy of the Land Before Time 15: Hail King Petrie). The Godfather Ben Hur Rear Window Gone With the Wind Shawshank Redemption The Wizard of Oz Dial M for Murder Apocalypse Now Redux Edition To Kill a Mockingbird Casablanca Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the Ring Inception The Dark Knight Mad Max Fury Road Bride of Frankenstein Passion of the Christ Gladiator Raiders of the Lost Ark Lost in Translation Planet of the Apes (1968) The Incredibles Regarding taste in movies though, I remembered preferring The Godfather Part II to the Godfather Part I because of the complexity and uniqueness, despite the first one being better constructed and having more universal resonance. It's similar to why I prefer X-Men Origins: Wolverine to Logan, despite Logan being a better movie. Not that X-Men Origins is anywhere near the level of Godfather Part II. Gotta go. Thanks again and Have a great weekend!

there is a girl who posted a video of herself watching all 14 land before Time movies and then ranking them, might be worth checking out, it was a hilarious video! As for what makes it a genius -- I think for this movie it's a combo of the plot being spectacular, but also the way people are framed to give you emotional changes throughout the movie was well -- like the fact they make you feel like you don't trust people or how your emotions toward dinos change throughout. I don't think there is any one critera, and it's definitely not my favorite favorite movie because the characters are more like Caricatures, but it's still a fantastic work of art nonetheless
@JohnHenrysaysHi
@JohnHenrysaysHi 3 года назад
@@PsychologyandChillwMichi Thanks for the recommendation. And I appreciate your appreciation for plot. Regarding what you said about your favorite movies, do you generally prefer character-driven stories over plot driven stories? Or do you prefer a balance such as something like The Godfather? Do you think Jurassic Park's plot would have been sacrificed if it had more three-dimensional characters?

I watched all 28 minutes and 26 seconds of your video, which is 28 minutes and 26 seconds more than I watched the movie. The so-called "science" just doesn't work. But I am tempted to pick up the book and start reading it. But I though your video was super entertaining. I am willing to "suspend my disbelief," like I do when I see the Star Wars movies. I godda tell myself "it's a 'science-fiction' movie" with 99.9% fiction, and 0.01% science (and the 0.01% that I call "science" is a very generous number, to be sure.) I may just watch the movie to see how they can extract the DNA out of a piece of 200 million year old amber. As if amber can really survive on this planet for 200,000,000 years, let alone the blood that old from a misquote that old can be a viable piece of specimen. "Piece" of specimen❓ "PEACE-OUT ❗"
