It's chilling how the "little detective" ended up capturing evidence that would go on to help convict his murderer. I'm glad this jury saw right through his poor theatrics and found him guilty.
Well don’t take much to get your respect then! He’s a sorry judge and had no right to put his opinion at the sentencing and to sit up there and smirk after knowing he let the prosecution screw over the defense team time and time again ignoring most of their objections and sustaining all of the prosecutors objections
He felt nothing during the verdict, and nothing again after sentencing, he didn't care he's going to prison for ever.. THAT is not a sociopath something is seriously wrong here.
Yes, He lied right up to the end--just like the other sociopath. Hopefully, trump will soon be given a plethora of guilty verdicts for his lifetime of crime.

They will be nice to people who can help them (family, friends, etc) and if you cannot help them then they have no need for you. Alex benefitted from all of his relationships, whether it gave him power, money, local “fame” and that’s why he spent so much time keeping up appearances.

No one in South Carolina would tell this story in its full breadth. It can be a big scoop for you AFTER you fact-check, which should be easy enough if you have Becky Hill's book "Behind the Doors of Justice." It turns out not only Becky Hill and the jurors of the Alex Murdaugh case wanted "their 15 minutes" but they put their children, too, with them. In Becky "Boo" Hill's book page 191, you see a photo of Boo's daughter with this caption: Country music star, Dustin Lynch, and my "plus one" (daughter Aubrey) spent time together in NBC's The Today Show green room. TRANSLATION: At least Becky Hill AND HER DAUGHTER flew expense-free to New York with at least three jurors who voted guilty, each of which PRESUMABLY has a "plus one," too. So, at least 8 people had a luxury junket to New York paid for with the blood and tears of Paul, Maggie, and Alex Murdaugh. It gets even worse: At pages 59-60 of her book, Becky Hill writes: What I learned on our flight to New York City after the trial was that three close friends of his [meaning of a male juror who voted guilty] all chipped in and paid the financially strapped juror his regular salary. For all six weeks of the trial! Several thousand dollars. TRANSLATION: Thousands of dollars were being paid DIRECTLY from an outside source to a juror who voted guilty to enable him to stay on the jury. WHO ARE THOSE THREE CLOSE FRIENDS? Why was it important for them that THIS juror serve on the jury? Was that even their own money or were they funnelling it from an outside source? That is way, way, worse than anything Becky Hill admits to about her own misconduct.

Ironic how Paul who was responsible for Mallory Beach's death, sealed Alex's fate with his cell phone video. Neither Paul nor Alex showed remorse for Mallory's death. The Murdaugh's lied, manipulated, blamed, and abused the power of their name yet again. Alex, immediately after Paul and Maggie lay shot to death yards away, tried to blame retaliation of the boat crash that killed Mallory. Disgusting. Now lets see justice for Stephen Smith's murder. Openly gay Stephen was not hit by a vehicle, he called Buster Murdaugh after his car broke down. Saddle up Buster, the empire has crumbled.
What proof is there that he called Buster Murdaugh? I haven’t seen any of that info….I know the uncle, also known as Buster, inserted himself in the case. I also know there were rumors that Stephen smith was connected to an “older man”. I always wondered if that was the older uncle Buster Murdaugh
@@basicallyno1722 No, the uncle who quickly inserted himself into the Stephen Smith case was Randy Murdaugh, who was a lawyer in the same law firm as his brother, Alex. It still seems very suspicious that he approached the Smith family so quickly. The first "Buster" Murdaugh was Buster's great-grandfather who passed away in 1998 at age 83.

I believe this case has really drove home how one can appear a certain way, even to family and be someone completely different. We've all heard cases where the spouse is seen as quiet, kind, patient, caring, a good friend, a loving spouse and parent, then do something so horrific as to annihilate their loved ones. The reason is beyond understanding. Motive can be just as confusing as the person themselves. You simply can't rationalize the irrational.

Such a fantastic judge. This man was not an addict to the extent he wanted us to believe, his status, wealth and greed were his motive. Right verdict of GUILTY, very proud of the jury not succumbing to the arrogant status of the 'good ole boys club'.
Sound judge. And Alex’s claim to a drug addiction looks like a cover story. No one THAT heavy is a 20 year pill popper. Alcoholism is a twin addiction, & Murdaugh sure had permissive drink rules in his home.
Lindy loo I totally agree. I do not think he could possibly take that many pills and still go out and NOT ONE person noticed he was on opioids for 20 years. I think he tried to use that as a reason for his stealing all that money. I do think he took pills, but not to the extent that he wanted us to believe. They were also drinkers and taking high doses of opioids it would seem you would die.
The end of a dynasty ending with him in the worst way possible. I got goosebumps at sentencing when the judge said that AM's family of judges and lawyers and AM himself have sentenced people to death and probably for lesser charges. Wow

@@dorettamchugh2680 America is not even close to being the most free nation on earth. America has certain redeeming qualities. But this country has a litany of monumental problems as well. For one, millions of individuals don't even have access to healthcare unless they want to be legally bankrupted. The key principle of so called freedom in America is that individuals and corporations are "free" to screw over the citizenry to whatever degree they're capable of finagling. I don't consider that sort of "freedom" as particularly beneficial for the whole of society. It's certainly great for the corporatocracy though. Those that go on spouting this nonsense about American's being free are quite delusional indeed. Americans are free to live on the streets because the bastardized real estate and banking industries have made housing wholly unaffordable. Americans are free to die when they can't afford treatment for cancer and other terminal conditions. Americans are free to posses arms and strip away the freedom of others with that very tool. Americans are free to get royally scammed and ripped off by the thieving timeshare industry. Americans are free to get screwed by the insurance industry. Americans are free to get endlessly abused and even murdered bye our corrupt police force. America was built up on the freedom to exploit others for one's own self-interest. If that's the type of freedom you're referring to, then perhaps we are the freest nation on earth. It's no wonder that America is so extraordinarily toxic with greed having been so engrained into the American psyche. I'm not suggesting that America be turned into a commune or anything like that. But we've certainly been pushed up against the wall in the wrong direction.
