We'd need to get RBY first presumably, then they'll probably add Crystal too alongside Gold and Silver. The real question is if they'll add RSE and FRLG onto the GBA Emulator
Ookini, Satoru han. That is Kansai Japanese for "Thank you, Satoru han." Kotone mentioned "Jouto dialect" in even the Pokémon Masters EX English version. I highly doubt that is what the dialect is called in the main games.
That's a rumor. DYKG even corrected themselves and apologize for Iwata helping add Kanto. His code actually just sped up the game for quality of life changes. Kanto was most likely always intended and worked on alongside Johto.
@@Squirtle_Squad_Supremacy as a kid? My first pokemon ever was Cyndaquil, and as a kid, I almost exclusively used Typhlosion 😅 I named him Cynder. He was my friend when I didn't have real friends.
I would have loved to see the Pokémon games translated from Japanese to English, but they could have a local English option too. WayForward's Shin Nekketsu Kouha: Kunio tachi no Banka has the original English and local English setting.
That music transports me right back to childhood. I remember in 2000, I got both gold and silver for my 8th birthday. I was so excited. I still have my original special edition Pokemon Gameboy color, I still have yellow, red, and gold + silver. Wish those moments lasted forever.
When will Nintendo understand that if every pokemon game was available for digital download on the switch, they'd make a crap ton of money. Nostalgia sells and nothing is more nostalgic than pokemon
The gen 2 champion theme is one of the best battle themes in the series. I love Lance, he's really cool. But lets all be honest. That was Red's theme. Lance just borrowed it
You know what I would consider Pokemon Crystal and Pokemon emerald a tie for best games in the Pokemon series. I remember we were trading games back then and I did enough trades with Mega Man games to have Pokemon Gold Silver and Crystal all at once
Hey first of all I respect your opinion and thanks for sharing your opinion.Second thing is that I think Pokemon emerald is not the best one in the series because Pokemon platinum is there and also they should've kept Steven as champion. In the end I think that Pokemon platinum and gold&silver are the best of the series.I saw that you also mentioned Pokemon crystal but the thing it lacks is ampharos!
I remember my first play through of Silver. I found and caught a shiny Rattata before I had even gotten my first badge and then ran into a shiny Swinub on the way to Blackthorn only to realize that I didn’t have a single ball on me! It’s why I now have a habit of buying and carrying as many as I possibly can at all times. I don’t even bother with potions most of the time because it is so much easier to just get to a center to heal up in more recent games.
I wish these were on the switch. Man the older graphics, the sound effects, the music! I love HG/SS but the originals hold such a nostalgic feeling in my heart
This brings me way back. Pokemon Silver was my first pokemon game on the Gameboy Color. I was in my sophomore year in high school when I first played it.
Chikorita was my first pokemon. It gets hated on so much, but I will never forget beating the elite four with Meganium and my team. My little grass dinosaur 😢
my first pokemon game was blue but for some reason i have more nostalgia for gold/crystal. the colors, the day/night cycle, the atmosphere of johto, the cool new pokemon designs. was really awesome.
Gold was the second pokemon game I owned (if you count the TCG game for GBC). Having beaten Gen 1, the nostalgia of stepping back into Kanto (albeit a trimmed down version due to cartridge limitations) with harder gym leaders, the changes that were introduced, and the fight that was Red being the most difficult challenge yet. It was so great. :D
Mine was Pokémon yellow, but I was young af to know what I was doing too lol so definitely silver for me too was where was I actually able to get the hang of things
Bought this game 2 years ago when the 3ds shop was still around, and this was the first game I had completed 100%. Sadly lost that 3ds when I moved, but I will forever this game
My favorite memory is training in the burned tower, finding a shiny koffing and being unable to catch it because my box was full and i didn't change it manually on the PC.😢
Oh that’s so mean. Sorry friend. My first shiny was an Onix in Gold. I ran out of Pokè Balls catching it. So I used my Master Ball. Worth it. I think I duplicated my Master Ball anyways so I at least had two
Stepping, back, into Kanto was amazing, and I realized that I may have the chance to revisit all the old gyms! That was such a cool moment for me. Gold and silver are truly about value, giving the player everything you can for the sake of the experience. You don't see it anymore. Putting your heart and soul into something you love. Soul silver and heart gold were good, but you can't beat the original. So many things that just made it feel special. The dancing clefairy at Mt moon. Your old player character at Mt silver. Finding tyrogue deep in a mountain
I remember a couple years ago I found a Gameboy colour that used to be my uncles and got so excited I immediately started looking for what Pokémon games i could get for it! Settled on Crystal. Imagine my suprise when i found out my friend also has it, in 2023!
The Red theme is just goosebumps. They really hit you with the remix at the very end after 300+ hours gametime. Battling against yourself at the top of the mountain, after you thought you have already beaten every trainer out there, no dialog, only dots "....." and battle starts with that banger.
Still wish the whole "traversing a connecting region" mechanic would come back in some way. That was SO cool to me back then, and it's still cool now ᕙ(@°▽°@)ᕗ
I know a lot of these features are taken for granted in later generations (or missed for some and not others in the case of roaming legendaries), but man this nostalgia hits hard. While I like the remakes of these games more (like anyone else, surprise surprise), these games are not bad at all.
Yellow was my first game, but after going through Silver the first time and finding Red basically with my same team (swap his Espeon for Kadabra), I was blown away feeling like I was fighting to beat myself. No other Pokemon game has created a similar magic for me since.
Playing crystal currently. Hearing the music and seeing that guy when walking into kanto just feels so good for no reason (This happened today) Also, beating Whitney definitely deserves a spot here
