Little Weirdo Let me assure you I am trans, so I don’t come off like a total asshole, which I might. Give them time. Parents WILL see you as a daughter for a long time, as they have all your life. They gave birth to you and known you since forever. So has your friends and other family. And being corrected all the time isn’t necessarily easy to just take. It’s not fun being wrong or corrected. That’s probably why your dad looks annoyed. Give them some slack. Your mother is telling you she understands don’t take that for granted. Don’t take it as “blah blah”s. Every parent will see you as a daughter for some time still. It’s just parent tendencies. They lived with you as a girl, they’re mindset won’t 180. The phase thing. Having gender dysphoria has been shown to be a phase a lot of the time. And I assume you’re a teenager like me, so “phases” are pretty common in us. The whole “thing” about teenagers is being rebellious and having phases. And we are pretty young. And young people don’t exactly make the best decisions. So if they think this is a phase I wouldn’t blame them. I’m not saying that it IS a phase, but try to see it through your parents eyes. I know that’s quite difficult but try. They’re being supportive and your mom said she’s trying to understand so give her that. These kind of things take A LOT of time. Transitioning doesn’t just affect you it affects them. Give them time and they will see this isn’t a phase and your serious. Give them time to understand why you want to transition. When people understand, then they act. Then they’ll start using pronouns and stuff. Point being, you can’t make them understand anything. They have to do that, and that takes time. You aren’t wrong, I would be unhappy too. That’s how my mom thought for a long time. I started going to counseling, and she bought me a binder. She is trying. When I talk about the beginning of my transition and how my parents weren’t very understanding she told me that it takes time. And it was a lot to take. And it hurt sometimes. And now I understand her. My dad is the same, he just wants me to wait till I’m 18 to do surgeries and hormones which is a tiny bummer but I’m okay with it. This was long, I’m sorry for that. But just stick through it. Try to educate them. Help them understand. Tell them how it effects you. How being trans affects you. How dysphoria makes you feel. Hearing a “she” or a “ma’am” does. Just educate for now. It might help

Aww, I'm so sorry. I've never dealt with it personally, but that's got to be rough.

Now your making me wish that we lived in the same country! I live in the US and if we lived in the same area, I'd probably hang out with you! You seem pretty cool and I hope your able to get more financially stable in the future! Money and life in general is kind of rough, but is also still amazing! Especially to wake up every morning and see the sun gleaming down on you! I'm kind of into theatre, music, and stuff like that, but I want to become a nurse! Hope you have fun in your endeavors! @@Kovukingsrod Thank you, honey. Having a bit of a hard time recovering from the surgery on Monday. The surgeon had to go through a bunch of scar tissue. Took our Beagle to the vet on Weds. She has a bladder infection. But, on the bright side, it is sunny and nice here today after a week of deathly cold! xo

PS. And you'll get the chance to learn to speak the Welsh language, now that is something to really get your tongue around. 😂

That's awesome, I'm attending one of the schools that I wanted to attend! I've been going to it since August (a few months after I graduated high school) and it's pretty great! People in college/uni are usually more mature then kids in high school!

Good for you, honestly. College isn’t for everyone, so I’m glad you’re where you want to be! I definitely can’t wait to get out of high school and take education more seriously.

@@anthonygrabowski6402 yeah, high school kind of sucked for me and honestly I have no clue how I survived it. Though college isn't for everyone, I'd just say that it's 10x better than high school, at least in my case, even if I don't have as many friends going to my school. They have way better food, people are way nicer usually, the professors are awesome and helpful, you can walk up and leavs to use the bathroom or anything like that without asking the professor, the professor doesn't nag you, you can choose to have morning or afternoon classes, you can choose where you want to eat, you can choose which class subjects you want to take, and the homework load is much easier, depending on how many classes your taking. Whereas in high school, you don't have much choice.

I’m from Sweden so not 100% sure about Norway but I know many Norwegians who say the same but yes, in our countries we’re taught English from I very young age. Depending a lot on who you ask they’ll say yes or no, but I definitely feel like English is a second mother language to me (don’t really notice when you switch language, mix them, basically bilingual reactions to switching and stuff)
