In the very first game of this video, Sajam counterhits a diamond Cammy player 8 times. Every single time that Cammy player got hit that round, they were pressing a button.

About character strength between similar archetypes. I’ve played a bit of ken for the sake of trying him and simple didn’t enjoy him. I was kinda struggling going even against players much lower than my skill level. The better character for me was luke as I was a lot more patient and getting less frustrated with my character and placed much higher and found footing with a rank much closer to my own main. Enjoying a character is far much of a better factor for performance than tiers could really be.

Started playing Ken on Sunday, and got him to master on Monday with an 80% win rate. He's too strong and easy to win with imo. He's also very fun. Run cancel combos are awesome

Me too! I played Ken first but I didn’t have fun with him so I switched to Luke and had a blast. Now I’m a Cammy main.

Wouldn't say it was easy, he finished with an 80% winrate which is like middle of the pack when compared to other characters he got to master.

but like why couldnt theyve made lariat have even a small reverse hitbox. also why cant you choose the distance of bear grab based on lmh rather than distance espcially when it chooses the wrong one for distance

very surprised to see players like the chunli at diamond 5 mashing every single time on wakeup no matter how many times it gets meatied. i know sajam said the players he's facing are the same as anyone else, but i can PROMISE you that absolutely nobody in my version of diamond 5 behaves this way

Is there a way to do instant TK divekicks so fast like that on pad or get DPs faster? Its my main problems trying to play her is getting those instant divekicks or reacting with DP

Idk if it works in SF6 but in strive, if I have a character that has an air special, like a dive kick or Baikens yozansen, I do a half circle motion but start from down and move to the top (notation is 23698 + button if you want it). Again, no clue if that works in SF or not but might be worth a shot

If I recall the cammy divekicks have a little bit of a height restriction. So maybe you're doing it too quickly.

Do divekick as 214 9k and do dp as 636k, I think thats the fastest way to input them on pad

@@davidsphere43 most likely. It’s a secret little weapon with a special overhead. Just make sure you don’t have a ground special with the same input or else I think it might override the overhead trick

With 2 DLC characters released, I think I'm starting to see a patern in how characters in SF6 are going to be played, and the drive system represent so much of the game, characters are feeling a bit samey to me.

Wait till they see Sajam Ryu then they're gonna know how strong he is. Also in my personal opinion I think he has better neutral than ken although that may not be accurate.

Feel like his only downside is spending so much meter on confirms. Fighting against him feels like his buttons reach across the world sometimes XD

I tried this character initially when the game dropped. It's a shame her gameplay always felt shallow, boring and not fun. I liked the new design and the concept of the charged specials

When they gave Cammy the Kick followup on Hooligan, I was really hoping it was going to become a strong tool like Demonflip for Akuma. And then it went into the " never use it ever" category again :(

The overhead? Its strong but cammy doesn't have grounded overheads like the rest of the cast and relies on strike/throw for mix. Hooligan is ok but i feel as if the forced knockdown state is desgined to punish airborne moves. I dont know if akuma demon flip was counterhit punishable in 5 but it definitely will be in 6

@@pretzels7437Axe kick type moves have traditionally been pretty strong in Street Fighter, and that new followup felt like basically that. I guess it's simply a bit too slow.

It's probably fuzzyable as well unless you do delayed throw but even then you will just eat DP/jabs all day. I've seen a few crossup situations that seem decent but parry still OS's everything but charged/ex throw. It's been a while since I last tested anything though so I might be misremembering

I hope when Season 1 ends and we get our balance patch around June 2024 they really shake up what characters can do with drive gauge, this games getting kinda green for me not gonna lie. I wanna see something WILD

Yeah as a Cammy player that just made it to platinum 2 (haven't played a lot in the last two months) there's a lot of other players out there that are not good with her lol.

the thing about hooligan during pressure is that it's not going to be checked by people below that level and the risk-reward for od hooligan is pretty good when worst case scenario is you get jabbed out of it sometimes. in the corner the meaty overhead off of ex dive kick gives a max damage combo. they're spamming hooligan and other gimmicks bc it's worked for them sometimes up to that point and it's easier than learning footsies. that playstyle guarantees they won't get any farther but that's a classic noob trap. also they may just be grinding, you only need a 45% win rate.
