Miss you Al. Thanks for letting me learn from your leadership and will to win at all costs. I took that into my Corporate career and applied it. This allowed me to win baby! Thank you.
Jack Tate Seattle Seahawks fan here. I hated your Raiders in the 1980s, but I loved them in the 1970s b4 the Seahawks existed. Beginning with those games George Blanda pulled out of the fire, and ending with the Ghost to the Post game in Baltimore in 1977, you guys rocked.
I love Al Davis when I was a kid I the Raiders of the AFL was my team .Cliff, Lamonic the bad bomer ,Fred, Hubba George, Jack, Lester, Jim,Ken.Just WinBabyForever!
i dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I would love any tricks you can offer me
I'm so glad have been a raider fan since 1968 and sold malts and sodas at the coliseum, while living five blocks away and having true earlier years signed memorabilia.... I saw a lot of these games personally year after year.... Generation Blanda, Lamonica, Stabler and Plunket alumni... John Madden, speaks for himself.. Carr...Hmmmm!
As a new raiders fan IDK how my grandpa could hate Al Davis even if he is a San Diego sports fan, I didn’t know how much intelligence the man had, not just on a coaching level, but an executive level too, I have so much newfound respect for him and this organization, I was brainwashed into hating the Raiders lmao but now I’ve learned to support the teams I want to watch and a few days ago I decided on joining Raider Nation before the new season, let’s go Men in Black, Just win Baby! And RIP John Madden, even as a non football fan at the time I still felt like I lost something when you passed coach
Take a bunch of misfits, renegades and basically unwanted by the clean-cut franchises of those days, and let the beasts loose. You'll always have a home with the Raiders By fair means or foul - JUST WIN
You see how they made you regret touching that football and you earned it with hard hitting rough play and they didn't wind about it like today's football!!
Its called the Autumn Wind. The NFL made it for the Oakland Raiders back in 1974. You should check it out...its got the voice of the great John Facenda! Enjoy.
Phil Villapiano, textbook definition of stud. He and Ken Stabler, Dave Casper. Idiot Patriots fans can't take that away from us. Joe Namath, different story. He earned the right to criticize the Raiders, he took some bad shots from Ben Davidson and Ike Lassiter and other Raiders.
Bob Scott he took some bad shots, sure, but so did the Raiders. That's the way they all played then. But Namath had the refs protecting him. That sounds familiar.
This Type Of Real, Serious Hitting (clothline, forearm, headlock, etc) would be suspensions in today's NFL, but with the billions the owners possess, they can pay it for the players! Lol
SingleTax THANK YOU! Marcus was my favorite player as a kid. And Al cut off his nose to spite his face. Couldn't stand that Marcus was already a star. Davis did some great things, but once he screwed over Marcus, I started to hate him. He ran the greatest team ever into the ground. Glad he's dead. Now we can win again.
REAL MEN WEAR BLACK!!! THERE'S ONLY ONE NATION IN THE NFL!!! RN4L!!! JUST WIN BABY!!! RAAAAAAAIIIIIIDDDDDEEEEERRRRS!!! 3X NFL SUPER BOWL WORLD CHAMPIONS OAKLAND LOS ANGELES LAS VEGAS RAIDERS 1976/1980/,&, 1983!!!
You will get hit hard and your ass kicked by My Raiders now If My Raiders hit hard they get flagged and screwed by the NFL but My Raiders got to bring THIS back kick ass and win hell with the refs just win baby
Sadly the Raiders will never be anything ever again, just got to look at the super bowl winning Raiders to know that they are just a mediocre bunch of no talent who can only dream of winning a SB ring. Glad I was around to see the best Raiders and not the shyte out there now.
Umm.. were people around when these Raiders played? There is a difference between being tough and dirty. Butkus was tough, a bit dirty. The Raiders were dirtiest team ever. As much as I like Madden, he got away with a lot, ask anyone who played or knew what went on those years.. The amount of hits, etc. they got away with after the whistle blew it was like the refs where being paid off.. Obviously, Branch, Stabler, etc. weren't part of it, but we knew the names of the players. They were in the defense. You still had to play clean but you had to put them in their place back then. Unfortunately, they got away with a lot and some people love rule-breakers.. They will have an interesting life ahead of them..
If the motto and cheap tactics actually worked or meant anything, there would be MANY more superbowl victories in hand. However... it was & is actually entertaining watching the brutal stupidity. If the Raider clowns actually had any REAL talent & skills, the franchise would have at least 6 trophies by now. Oh wait, that's the Steelers & Pats.... nevermind.
