My eyes fill with tears as I now know the era of the Raiders that grew up with has now come to pass with the loss of John Madden, Godspeed to you Mr. Madden, Godspeed...
This should be played at every team meeting, to remind the Raiders what it means to be a Raider. Toughness, Ruthlessness, Swarming Defense, crushing hits, making plays regardless of the defense. This is Raider football this is how you Just Win Baby !
It's not like they allow that anymore but Jack Tatum about killed a guy on the field and they had some serious characters but CHIEFS were just as good on defense the game has changed I think it's more interesting watching golfers
I'm a cowboys as well, since 1973. The voice, slow motion & music is what I like about it. I remember as a child, I'll b playing n the (make sure momma didn't c b/c that was a butt whooping 😁) house making crowd noise & act like I was running slow motion, w/me making music sound. That was fun 2 me. 😁
Ted Hendricks, Jack Tatum, Lyle Alzado, Lester Hayes, Beletnikoff, Stabler, etc., I can still see them all after fifty years. That team was fucking legendary.
@@JDOGG626 Todd Christensen, Malcolm Barnwell, Van Mcleroy, Mike Davis, Frank Hawkins, MARCUS ALLEN, Jeff Barnes, Matt Millen, Bill Pickel, Sean Jones, Howie Long, Greg Townsend, Kenny King, Arthur Whittington. RN4LF!!🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Ironic that what the Raiders are remembered most for are the renegades when what gave them those 3 SBs was the consistent greatness of their offensive line play with solid citizen, traditional guys. I always remember Stabler just standing back there forever pump faking until someone got open and Plunkett constantly stepping up into his protective pocket and then firing one deep.
Wow, back when football was football, the rivalry between the raiders and the Steelers, stabler against Bradshaw, the hits, the tackles the brutal beatings they gave each other, I miss those days!
Oskland,,, LA ,,, Vagas... the only place they cant move them from is my heart ... Raider Nation and The Autumn Wind... the only Nation and the baddest team song Barr none
I'm a diehard Cowboy fan and remember the great era of the '70s and this gives me chills!!! A great homage to those tough, brutal but great Raiders teams of the mid '70s. Cowboys, Steelers, Dolphins, Raiders, Vikings and Rams...what a great group of teams...70's by far the best era ever!!!
@@kingammo6090 Not the same as it was. Seemed to have more character then. Now it's become so commercial and over-hyped. You don't see NFL Films videos like this anymore. John Facenda and NFL Films were legends at creating art out of words and music. You just don't see the same character today.
At their height when Al was in his prime, The Raiders were a part of sports that was bigger than sports. Every antagonist of antihero in sports is compared to The Raiders
i never heard of the raiders until 4 months ago they sound very succsessful and very high quality players they must be the greatest team in american history
Been a diehard Cowboy fan since I was about 6 years old and watched them defeat the Dolphins in the Super Bowl, but if this doesn't give you chills and you don't remember those tough ass Raider teams of the 70's you just don't know football. Cowboy fan that tips the hat to the Pirate and the Raiders of the Autum Wind back when football was football.
I'm a Hawks fan, and still hate the Raiders from the old days. But despite this I get chills down my spine listing to the" Autumn Wind" respect to Raider Nation they're great fans. Go Hawks
‘DIE HARD’ Bears Fan, raised about a hour west of Chicago. This song brings chills to my spine when I hear it. I truly believe, like the Golden Knights before them, Vegas is about to have their second Cinderella team when the Raiders call Las Vegas their new home in 2020.
At 0:38, the mighty Earl Campbell making a hard fought touchdown with explosive fury and determination.....Campbell was one of the few running backs that wrecked havoc and punishing hits in the Raiders defense.
CONGRATULATIONS to the RAIDERS on their exciting overtime victory tonight over the Chargers to secure a spot in the playoffs…and on a very special tribute night to the legendary JOHN MADDEN…JUST WIN BABY
The Autumn Wind is a pirate, Blustering in from sea, With a rollicking song, he sweeps along, Swaggering boisterously. His face is weather beaten. He wears a hooded sash, With a silver hat about his head, And a bristling black mustache. He growls as he storms the country, A villain big and bold. And the trees all shake and quiver and quake, As he robs them of their gold. The Autumn Wind is a Raider, Pillaging just for fun. He'll knock you 'round and upside down, And laugh when he's conquered and won.
I 1st was a Notre Dame fan I lived in south bend in. I moved to Chicago and became a bears Fan. Then I saw Super Bowl XI. And I became a raiders fan for life.
I was the luckiest person in the world to meet the late Willie Brown in 1994 and I was only 16 years old and now he's gone but not forgotten either and I just turned 42 years old this past year and I'm still a fan of the silver and black A.K.A. the Raiders and their team is in Las Vegas and they are doing great in my opinion but I still remember the Raiders of old is gone since they moved to Las Vegas in 2020
With these Raider years, every single play pulverized their opponents with sheer, unapologetic force. I remember only perhaps the awesome Earl Campbell (with a trifecta of unbridled force, intense speed, and a ferocious tenacity where tackles brought a heavy price to defenders) would bruise the hell out of Oakland's defense; otherwise, Oakland usually brought the pain for every merciless hard fought yard.
Dude! Nothing personal, but I hate the Raiders. However, I play this song so many times when I'm trying to grind out the last half mile of my run, or get through the last round of striking the bag! The adrenalin this song brings is unparalleled!
FOR FIVE DECADES ... THE RAIDER ORGANIZATION HAS BEEN THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE'S PREMIER DEMONSTRATION OF THE SPORT AT ITS MOST TELEGENIC .. DELIVERING A VERTICAL PASSING GAME, A RELENTLESS ASSAULT ON THE OPPOSING QUARTERBACK ... AND ABOVE ALL ELSE ... A COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE.
@@josealba5027 so what at least we won our 3 without fucking cheating unlike brady his dumbass of a buddy Gronk, and stick up his ass Bill Billachek (I dont care how his name is spelt)
Al Davis was the King Raider, head coach John Madden was the Duke Raider, defensive end Ben Davidson was the Baron Raider and cornerback Jack Tatum was the assassin, these men were Raider Nation, an NFL Commitment of Excellence!!
A new error has dawned! Antonio Pierce will lead us to the promised land very soon! All the pieces are in order for the 2024 season, and I can’t wait for it to start! Raider nation for life! Pinche Raiders Por Vida!
