JW Elder's Meeting - I Refuse to Disassociate Myself- You Must DF Me! 

I hear you. I know your pain. Remember, they can't pray for you, which if you think about it, is a good thing! However, you can keep praying for them. It's the most powerful thing you can do. Hang in there. I felt the pain of losing 200+ of my "friends and family" all in one evening. And it hurt for over 30+ years. I still miss them, but now, I mostly pity them. And I continue to pray for them all, as I wish enlightenment for all souls.

***** Thanks for your kind words. I am sorry for your loss. It seems absurd that the special talk following this years memorial commemoration is entitled "A Promise of Perfect Family Happiness". How can an organisation that goes to efforts to literally destroy families be so insensitive as to give such a talk. I really think the majority of JWs just do not think. Their senses have been dulled. Thanks for the reminder about prayer.

Rupunzelsawake I have not listen yet , but am about to. The one common denominator in these videos is after leaving, can we still uplift Jehovah's sovereignty and glory and acceptance of just how much Jehovah and Jesus Christ did for us. Occasionally Jehovah let me know he is still with me. And didn't Jesus say that the only way to the Almighty Father was Jesus. so we don't need any man or pope or governing body. I wish to ask everyone who has had a nasty experience with the Jehovah's witnesses to not turn our back on the Almighty Father and the only begotten son. It hurts to be set apart from family and friends! So why hurt Jehovah and Jesus. We are set apart and born in this day for a reason.. All is needed is trust in the Almighty Father not any man made system. Also as an ex jw, I really suggest looking into the scriptures on the cosmoslogy of the earth. and comparison of different translations is necessary because I have found that the new world translation is whittling away from the truth. The governing body has not received holy Spirit to discern the global earth lie. I found five scriptures that says that the earth doesn't move. So that totally blows the heliocintric universe theory. And yes I believe from my extensive research that we live on a flat Earth. Did you know that there is around two hundred scriptures on the cosmoslogy of the earth. One of my favorite is Job 38:14. I believe that Jehovah knew about the global earth lie and put many scriptures in his written word. Yet this is unimportant to the Jehovah's witnesses, members and the governing body. It certainly was very weird. The kindly soft spoken elder died in November 2013. I think he was in denial about the harsh cruelty of the organisation and made a ton of excuses for it. That bugged me. The other two I just saw in the bank the other day. I'm invisible to them and I am quite sure there is no love lost on me. They probably have a great deal of contempt for me due to my speaking out publicly about WT abuses. Of course I could be wrong.

Observer Link Thanks for commenting again!! All my visits with the elders were friendly. I really fit the description of an angry, bitter, proud apostate don't I? You could tell they were terrified of me. Two even hugged me at the end of my JC meeting. They warmly greeted me at the start of the meeting where my "announcement" was made. Then the "love switch" was turned to "off"! Just like that. I genuinely like those brothers. On the morning of the meeting I left letters with members of the congregation, at least with those whose addresses I knew. This is what I wrote: Dear Brothers and sisters I am writing this to give advance notice that at tonight’s meeting it will be announced that I have been disfellowshipped. I have no ill feeling towards any of you. In fact I care about you all and will miss you. I speak for (my daughter) also. I cannot remain in the congregation because my conscience will not permit me to accept and teach things I do not believe. Like many of you here I do not believe that only Jehovah’s Witnesses will be saved at Armageddon, and I cannot pre-judge all the individual members of Christendom. I love people and believe in justice for all of them. I also believe in Christian freedom, the right to follow one’s Bible trained conscience without fear of punishment. This is not possible in our organisation, though it should be. Our publications state that as dedicated servants of Jehovah, we do have freedom to exercise our conscience, but in reality we must follow the dictates of the Governing body. See WT98 3/15 article “Living Up to Christian Dedication in Freedom” Par 4,5. For many of you this poses no problem, but for me it does. Please understand that. I know this will come as a shock to you who know me. As you know, I am not a “wrong-doer”, nor am I an apostate. I have a very strong faith in Jehovah and in his Son Jesus. This will not change. Please be assured of that. The elders dealing with me have been very kind, patient, and respectful. They are only following the policies of our organisation. I realise this means I will be shunned, which I believe to be both unjust and unscriptural, and I will be very hurt by it. However, I hold no resentment, and you all will be in my prayers. It's honest, not at all bitter or vindictive, it's a message of love and caring, and It sets your record straight, so that there's an accurate account, YOUR own account, to refer to in the event false stories get circulated as to why you were DF'd! Again, I applaud you and your beautiful spirit. You are a lady of class!

Not getting an education not being allowed to go as far as you can in a sport you love, not being able to socialize with non JW friends. Too much. SJ Bobkins Sorry, I don't quite understand all your comment, but thanks anyway! JWs are discouraged (not forbidden) from sports, hobbies and higher education, anything that can encroach on their time for attending JW meetings, and going out preaching. Each month they are required to turn in a report of their preaching activity and placements of Watchtower literature. Many JWs will hide their hobbies or downplay how much time they spend at them to avoid criticism. JWs tend to be highly judgmental because of the Pharisaic nature of the religion. Many JWs get depressed because of not being able to do things they enjoy, and to talk about them freely. Close association with non-JWs is a no-no! Some are very strict about it, others do it anyway, but away from prying eyes of fellow JWs. (Yet more judgment and critism) Thankyou so much for your interest!!

Rupunzelsawake I thought they frowned upon dedication to secular interests due to the connection with the system which is controlled by Satan? I mean, you can not serve two masters, right? That the more you give to "Him" the more he wants? When you say "Criticism" do you mean reproof ? The theme i am seeing throughout watching these is: "I no longer believe that, but i do believe that" and "Well I THINK that particular scripture means this" and "I accept you are right about that but you're not right about Jesus' words in such and such verse " "I think this scripture is saying this" Seems to me they just established their own religion! These people are even organised in doing this. Sounds like they become the very embodiment of that which they have rejected. And so history tells the same story over again. The Church "Remove" those within it for the same reasons and once used to sentence them to death in some cases. The did not just burn Witches :)

Apt215 Melissa Brown HI! I don't think I knew about the military stuff ....although I do remember speaking with one of the elders prior to my JC meeting about Malawi and Mexico. He had never heard of it....even though he was 70 and spent his whole life as a JW. I did mention suicides in the meeting. Prior to this meeting I had sent letters to all the elders in my congregation outlining some of my concerns, but we didn't talk much about them at this meeting.

There is no religion in heaven! There is one God and spirituality. On judgement day you stand alone before God. There is no need for a congregation, God is fully capable.

Thankyou! Mmmm.I wondered if/when someone else would mention that. Judging by the frequency of talks given about pornography (at least the last few years I was a JW) it is a big problem in the organisation. That along with immorality in general. As I mentioned in my recording I would wonder who the audience was that needed to hear the same talk over and over. Now I see it as evidence of God's spirit being missing....generally speaking. (A lack of "fruitage of the spirit") They can't promote the organisation as one that "completely abides by God's moral standards" (as their literature has done....and I BELIEVED it) when they clearly don't!! Ray Franz made a good comment in one of his books. He said that it is like a prime minister (or president) of a country stating that his country has NO crime, because they lock criminals away in prison. I thought it was a good analogy.

So, in reality, people who have left Jehovah's Organization are not truly apostates. They have simply decided to save themselves from being duped any longer. The true apostate is Jehovah's Organization who is misleading the entire inhabited earth to believe their pyramid scheme and contribute to their world empire of money grabbing !! !

Warrior Prince Black and white thinking is the hallmark of a closed mind. Do you mean to imply that anyone that doesn't believe the exact same brand of Christianity as you is turning away from God? Can you read hearts? Is it your job to judge others? Or is it Christ's job? (John 5:22,23) Over one hundred thousand Jehovah's Witnesses each year are thrown away and shunned by their family and friends. Many turn to drugs or alcohol to dull the pain of this ostracism. A percentage commit suicide as the despair is so great. These human-rights violations should be stopped, and several governments and other groups are putting pressure on your slave master leaders to halt this barbaric practice. Soon I suspect the governing body will receive "new light" and the punitive practice will cease. Is this something that you feel is a good and healthy thing? The more folks that learn about the damaging practices and arrogant beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses the better. This way people can make an informed decision before joining the cult run by the billion-dollar corporation called Watchtower Bible and Tract Society. I do agree with you on one thing- the world IS an amazing place, filled with amazing and great people. Instead of trying to segment and elevate yourselves, why not work with the rest of society to make the world a better place? How many times have you called a person that didn't want to buy your brand of religion "a goat" or "a pagan"? All of us that used to go canvasing and door knocking for the Watchtower have done this. I doubt you are an exception as your words indicate bigoted thought processes that have been indoctrinated well by your masters in New York.

No evidence of shunning, and as I say move on. Quit telling lies about JW. JW have shown we are God's humble children, it is too late in the day to pretend otherwise. Again, move on.

Jehovah's Witnesses are known globally for shunning those that that are kicked out. They even have their own special word for it called "disfellowship". Duhhh!
