"My mother had an affair with an Elder" is an interview with a former Jehovah's Witness lady you may not want to miss. If this was a television show here is how the promo would likely read:
----------
JWStruggle speaks with a young lady named Jeana who was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, but learned through hard lessons that something was seriously wrong with the way things worked inside the religion. Her detailed story describes how her devout JW mother informed on the elders about her husband and had him disfellowshiped. As the mother confides in her special handler we will call "Elder M", that was it she under his spell. They began having a secret love affair while Elder M's infirmed wife wasted away in the next room or in a hospital bed.
Soon Jeana and her mother move in with Elder M and his wife for "financial reasons" and she begins to see odd things that make her start to suspect The Truth About The Truth (#TTATT), namely that the Watchtower Organization is as corrupt as the illicit affair that is going under eveyone's noses. When Jeana's fears are confirmed and she catches her mother and this respected JW Elder in a exuberant embrace she starts to realize it's time to plan her exit out of the cult, and Jeana does just that...but at a heavy cost.
Do not tune out before the end you will not want to miss the revelations in the last 3/4 of this story! What happens to Elder M and his would-be new bride? Does he retain his position as an elder AND get to make the switch to a newer better model woman? You will find out in this true-life story of courage, betrayal, and brain-washed devotion to a destructive cult that separates families every day!
-----------------------------
As always, I hope that you enjoy these interviews! If you have a unique and compelling story to tell then JWStruggle wants to hear from you. Please send an EMAIL (Not a RU-vid message) to:
JWStruggle@gmail.com
Address the email to Eric and please put the word "interview" in the subject line. In the body please explain your background, interesting stories of what you've seen, and why your story is worth telling. Thank you!

I was "forced" to marry my girlfriend in 1975, also, no college or children because the world was ending that year. When I soon became inactive my wife had an affair with a 27 year old "elder". Divorce followed and she married him. They were not disciplined for any of this. With a little education and critical thinking I escaped their dangerous cult. Now, at age 61, I am not haunted by their violent, stalking mind-reading, jealous, mass murdering, human sacrifice ordering, proponent of owning human beings as property and beating them just so they don't die desert god. Freedom and real "truth" is happiness. Love to the escapees.

SecretHobbies Your bible clearly does. (even Jesus was a human sacrifice) What about the guy who made a deal with the evil Yahweh that he would sacrifice the first thing that came out of his front door if Yahweh would help him slaughter his enemies in battle? Yes, he sacrificed his daughter. And slavery is one of the backbones of biblical immorality. But you know all of this don't you? It's called the "truth". Please escape while you can. People outside of your cult are not demon possessed or evil like you are taught. Thanks.

+SecretHobbies Your slaves to the governing body. They tell you what to think. human sacrifice, many died for refusing blood. susicide's because of the way they are treated behind those closed doors because they disagree with the GB.The only way to the Father is through Yahshua the messiah and they are teaching the only way is through them and the GB They put their selves in place of Yahushua.

SecretHobbies Jepthah's daughter was offered up as a burnt sacrifice. She was commemorated every year for 4 days after being burned up. Abraham was asked to kill his son as a human sacrifice and went to do it because a voice in his head told him to. Imagine the family dinners after that. These days he would be in a straight jacket, padded cell. Slavery is not denounced in the bible at all! In fact it is extolled. You would think the most moral being in the universe would spend 2 minutes to dictate by Holy Spirit to human writers that Slavery is WRONG! The bible only had a problem with Israelites enslaving fellow Hebrews, God was apparently fine with them taking and owning slaves as 'property' from any other nations especially the ones they slaughtered and plundered, they would often kill all the women, children and babies too, and keep the female virgins to rape and use as mandated by GOD. It almost seems that maybe the bible was not inspired of God after all, because it seems to go by the customs and traditions of the day rather than any higher code of ethics and morals. People are far more ethical today compared to the ethics of the bible. It seems like you do not agree with the bible's twisted morality. It seems like you are more ethical than that, good for you. Read the bible on its own without the Watchtower publications and come to your own conclusions, not what they want you to perceive. I always believed WT's white-washed version of Jepthah's daughter until recently when I read the scripture myself, not just what was in the bible story book. Of course they don't want you to know YHWH had a human sacrifice because he spent so much time killing other surrounding nations who did that to other gods. It seems a bit hypocritical right? Read your bible on it and on slavery it is mentioned a lot in the bible but never says that it is wrong. NOr does it say child abuse is wrong. It wouldn't have taken much to get that into his guide book for humans would it? Why isn't it there?

Jeanna thanks for your story. Keeping all the secrets and finding out the lies must have been a burden on you at such a young age. I am sure all the moving must have been traumatic too. I wish you all the best to give your children a stable normal upbringing. Take care xx

That is a crazy story. Jaw dropping that he was allowed to be an elder again.

These things happen WAY more than the publishers know... Cronyism, nepotism, secret deals and backroom politics permeate many elder bodies.

The problem is the Jehovah's Witnesses have no Holy Spirit within themselves or within their organization. They rely so much on the organization and the elders instead of their own Bible trained consciences that they make bad personal decisions. As soon as you leave you begin to develop your true spiritual self, guiding yourself by your conscience and your new chosen beliefs.

An elder having an affair is what it is! It's not right for anyone to do, but what bugs me is the fact that JW's act like this sort of behavior doesn't exist within the organization as if they're not people like the rest of us!!

There's a Movie script right there at your finger tips. Either a Cult Escape movie or just another American Story of every day life. Tragic, exciting and very moving at the same time. An Epic Story unfolding over a number of decades no doubt.

So she never had a judicial committee? Hmm I wonder why? How convenient they didn’t bring her in for questioning. Imagine how that would’ve gone down.

So spending time with a hypocrite who is having an affair with you as his wife is dying is more spiritually beneficial than living with your daughter who is not a jw anymore. Good grief. What's the expression the Watchtower uses? Even when they're wrong they're right.

churches get off by control. The need for a loving creator is still there for some if not most JW. They got it right when the say it's a ' conscience matter', how close you are to God will help you decide on the choices you make. Just because someone claims to not believe in a God is because they feel it involves committing to a type of religion and they feel compelled by the things they see happening in the world and say why would a all powerful being let this happen? So let make excuses or other alternatives as to why like the universe by chance just put them there, I don't know, I am not one who thinks like that.
@otflipz1

saraisastar8 I think there is a little more to science than excuses. I think its great when people wake up and break free from this horrible cult and I love to hear their stories and feel so glad for them that they have found happiness and a sense of freedom in a new religion. I just think that the critical thinking and research that has helped people see the jw cult for what it is shouldn't stop there. The truth cant be damaged by whatever you throw at it, why not put mainstream Christianity under the same scrutiny as the jw organisation? Just a thought really and I love hearing more and more of these interviews, and also how hearing about how crazy the elders are and the secrets of bethel.

This story is so horrifying. I used to be a JW. But, I think you should reconsider the holy spirit jokes. I get them. I have probably made the same statement in a serious way. But, jokes about the story I think are fine....holy spirit...not so much.

This is such a sad story and illustrates the fact that the JW's make good people bad parents. This womans family was destroyed be her! and she did it because the elders told her to.
