I've gotten major benefits for my forearms as well as my biceps by doing both Cross-Body Hammer Curls and what I call Raised Cross-Body Hammer Curls. The Raised version is where you hold the weight horizontal to the floor; very hard, but it builds the forearms like crazy.
I’ve seen some people do cross body but finish all reps with one arm before working the other arm. Any benefit to alternating vs. not. Other than perhaps being able to use more overload by alternating?
