So stupid you have to buy hundreds or thousands worth of 3rd party aftermarket parts to fix FX design flaws in a gun thats freaking expensive and should be flawless..
@@MasonStormSunny yes thats exactly the reason why I dont buy apple, Fx, tesla etc over branded over hyped products.. if ppl would stop listening this marketing bs they would actually have to compete with good product instead of keeping this money train running.
Seriously man I just fitted my impact m3 compact with slug power kit and it was so stupid. I don't know how fx manufacturer forgot to resolve this problem. Everything is ok in it except indexing the slug from the magazine. It's completely unless with the slug pin prob.so I removed it and I fitted the pillet pin prob and I checked with the slug.and it works perfectly fine. Even the velocity was same no difference with the prbs. And you my bro airbus even you hid this away from us about this issue. Anyway tell your subscribers in the next vide. 1 question tho I am planing on buying eagle vision high capacity magazine so will there be the same issue in eagle vision mag too with slug pin prob?
Ho ho bro I am not hiding anything 🤷♂️ what exactly is the problem with the probe ? Is the pin in the way when you try to insert the magazine? The FX pin probe has a adjustment to fine tune the seating depth , if adjusted to far out it interferes with the magazine while installing it . What is the connection with this video ?
@@Airbuks i tried slugs with slug power kit installed in my impact. But the pin prob and the magazine does not support the slug. The slug does not go straight into the transferport. It guts Gets stuck in between in transferport and magazine. Magazine is the issues. Tell me you didn't face this problem?
@@sj-k___7145 to be honest no I never had a problem with that , but I shoot mostly heavy slugs 26gr and up . I have heard similar issues with small slugs . What are you shooting ?
Great instructions video Speaking of lining up Here is one that I don't see the well known airgunners with videos that reach out to viewers. What are your views on barrel indexing on the impact? I can't get the 3 BIG S Africans to answer Please help the small airgunners out Thank you
Hi mate , well that’s a difficult one to answer as many people have a different opinion about it . But this is my opinion: When the barrel is perfect in every way and 100% straight we can end here and I say it’s not necessary, however… When the barrel has a slight arc to it you can find that you have to adjust your left/right on the scope more then it should to get on bullseye ( there could be other hardware factors causing this aswel ) indexing the liner so that the projectile arcs in a straight line inline with the gun will help you to have a predictable trajectory when shooting at different distances and a specially at longer ranges. Indexing the liner so that the arc is inline with the gun and upwards you can also gain some elevation on you turret range aswel . In the older days with the first liners I have noticed sometimes that indexing the barrel could give you better accuracy but this isn’t so the case anymore since the liners got better . Now al this is without talking about the harmonics of your shot cycle 😉
Excellent as always. Why are you not active as before? You said that you will make a full video of LCSSK 19. If possible, make a full video of D-State Alpha Wolf, especially the advanced settings
Thx , but I am still as active as before I think uploading a video every 7-10 days . I still have a normal job to support my family as this channel is just a hobby , sometimes family stuff gets in the way of the schedule 😉 Regarding the LCS I am still planning to do that video once I get my new barrel for it as mine seemed to have issues not being able to show the accuracy it has 👍
Airbuks , Sorry it’s so long and I had to edit this so much . It is a good design but I would prefer using the original carrier probe with it for one reason . As long as the original carrier probe is perfectly square it pushes the back end of a slug straight into the barrel . The new carrier takes care of a problem I had with the small Allen screw backing out . On another note . The pin probe will not center the slug if the slug is somewhat sloppy in the magazine as its feeding it into the barrel . If you think about it . Once the pin probe makes contact with the back of a pellet and it’s not centered perfectly it won’t feed into the chamber consistently the same with each pellet . It won’t float because the hard probe has put a dimple in the back of the soft pellet as it’s forcefully feeding it through the process of chambering , will stay in that position All the way till it stops in the barrel . The next pellet that feeds may not be the same and the process repeats itself over and over with an inconsistency . Not so with the old pin probe design . It immediately contacts the back of the slug or pellet equally and follows it through into the chamber the same every time . The Diabolo pellet is more forgiving and may not be effected as much . The Diabolo’s design allows it to correct itself in flight much quicker out of the barrel . What I will say is this solid probe holder is a good idea and could be used for either probe . 👍
About the pin probe pushing you are 100% right, that’s why I switched to the pellet probe of Huma that matches there dual transferport. You loose only a few fps over the pinprobe but you have the advantage of a pellet probe 😉 For me the main reason why I installed this carrier from K&L is to eliminate the possibility of that small Allen screw coming loose and causing issues that way regardless of what probe I am using
@hotchihuahua The part about the oem square carrier is not true. The force vectors are exactly the same with the OEM probe carrier. The only difference is more evenly distributed clamping around the probe and larger screws. Any probe works with the Ultra Grip design, pellet, pin or scoop. The "squareness" has nothing to do with the forward pushing; the way it attaches to the carrier rod is exactly the same dimensionally and uses the same hardware that comes with the impact. Furthermore, if you are using a pin probe on higher power slug tunes, the ultra grip probe carrier is very necessary as the OEM carrier does not have the strength to waistband the back pressure with use.
@@Airbuks I did modify and polish the interior of the tube on the pellet probe and made sure it was square on a lathe . In a speed comparison with a setting of 100 bar I was able to get the same speed as the pin probe . Understandably in a higher bar setting in the plenum and heavier slug you may find the pin probe will begin to show advantages . I haven’t tried it but someone out there probably can confirm this . I’m not looking to use anything heavier that a 28.5 grain slug at 940 fps so I am set .
@@hotchihuahua1546 everything is perfectly squared up a I have put the probe in the lath to make sure it’s was straight, polished and debured. I don’t say the pin probe doesn’t have any advantages 😉 it works very well if you use a adjustable one to have controlle over the seating depth .
