By request of some subscribers i have made a quick installation video of the Sekhmet gauges and answer some question some viewers have asked me in the comments.
Really love ur videos, you are doing a great job!👌 When can we expect a tuning video of ur new crown mk2 grs? Would be great to see how you tune it for slugs or so... I recently bought the crown mk2 grs as well... Keep going...👋💪
Great video, Got a question for you since you deal with FX guns. I have a crown in 22 ca with a 700 mm barrel, but I want to switch it over to my Impact 3. Just wondering is this possible if I buy a 22 cal barrel kit for the Impact and maybe the same with a barrel kit for the crown to allow me to interchange barrels. Your help/knowledge would be appreciated.
I am afraid it’s not possible to put a crown barrel in a impact . The crow barrel is what they cal a super light barrel system and don’t use a barrel sleeve like the impact . A barrel made for the impact can fit a crown but a barrel made for a crown won’t fit the impact 🤷♂️ sadly
I just bought one of these and have to say that the software is really glitchy. It always turns on and shows pressure but the temperature display intermittently works but usually not and it’s hard to make it go into the menu. When it works correctly it’s nice and seems very accurate as far as pressure is concerned.
Strange , it seems you have to get lucky on these gauges as some people report different problems 🫣 On the other hand I have 4 of them and the all work very well 🤷♂️ no glitches and everything works
@@Airbuks Could be because we have different versions of software mine says version 6.0B. Just my guess as to why. I’m curious what version yours are??
There is no harm done with a dry fire without pellet when your plenum is still fully charged. I also lower the powerwheel when I do so . You can also degass by adjusting the regulator just a touch counter clockwise when your bottle is removed
No Matter what i do air leaks from the reg 1 skehmet manometer and ive tried all the washers with no luck. have you any advice? should i use thread lock or is that a no no?
The gauges can be bought at Krale Schietsport I think it straight from the Sekmeth website You have 2 sizes 28mm for the front and the smaller one is 25mm
About 1 hours to fill it , the charging indicator doesn’t stop I believe 🤔 but I have had to charge them only one time could be that I didn’t charge them long enough to stop blinking although they read 100% 🤷♂️
The thing confused me the most was that tiny Oring. On the back of the gauge there is an obling-shaped hole and you have to pinch the Oring together and press it into the oblong-shaped hole. The black look really sleek
It’s written in the manual somewhere, but it depends on how you set it up . I have mine installed about 1.5week ago and still have 100% on both gauges . The manual states 10u continually on and 300 days standby extern battery life
Hi, I am thinking of installing angled gauge as well. But do I understand it right, that if you install it angled, meaning its a reg gauge, it would not show the remaining shot count? If it is installed as a reg gauge does it give you more info than just a reg pressure?
Hi , yes you are correct it functions as a reg gauge on the angled bracket. The only functions you can use in that location is the reg pressure and average consumption per shot . It does count your total amount of shots but not remaining shots
In my opinion yes , you need a accurate regulator reading for tuning that’s a must have . The front one is up to you if you need or want to find out how many shots per fill / air usage etc
SEKHMET has a non existing customer service. There is no way to reach them if there are any issues. I 100% prefer cheap electronic gauges which can be bought from Huma.
I have reached out to Fred the owner (I think) a couple of times. It can take a week or so to get a response. I have had issue with the "wake on fill" not working, Fred told me that unless its filling at 1 bar every 2-3 seconds that function will not work. My Xisico compressor fills 1 bar every 4-5 seconds, Freds suggestion was to use a bottle or turn the screen on longer. I have also noticed that "wake on shot" is not working properly and all the shots are not recognized. Didn’t get much help on that. Seems like if the gauge is not functioning as advertised there is a reason and it's not the gauges fault. I will most likely move the gauge to the regulator, where I will have over paid for features that will not work on the regulator.
🙈 that’s already a few time I heard that customer service is letting people down ! About the gauges functions the wake on shot at my regulator side is working properly, the functions on the bottle side seem to work but I have to get more analysis over a period of time
Awesome how did you get the first reg gage to be up and down with the fx logo at the bottom... I try it and sir just comes out thanks for sharing bsafe buddy 👍
I never seem to have any problems with my gauges, the key is not to over tighten them and make sure the X ring underneath is in good condition. But I know the 1st regulator assembly is a bit different with that copper ring and oring in between the gauge and block
The first one is the one the can calculate the features since it has the bottle pressure. The regulator one can keep a shot count and average consumption per shot but it’s all based on the pressure you have on your regulator
It depends I think what you want , analogue gauges rarely fail as a digital one needs to be charged and can have errors in some cases . The digital ones should be more accurate than analog as you can easily see the pressures per bar as a analog sometimes can be 5bar of and you have to estimate by the needle more or less at what pressures you are
No indeed the first stage reg is there to just reduce the bottle pressure so the second reg works better . 5 bar more or less isn’t going to effect your accuracy. But you can put one there if you really like . I didn’t as they are expensive 😉
@Airbuks LOL! Expensive? Those Sekmekt gauges are expensive. If I wanted to replace the factory 1st reg is there a special reg you have to buy or something?
@Airbuks I'm curious because I just got a Fx M3 .25 with 700 mm superior heavy liner about 3 days ago, and the 1st reg keeps going up and down about 10-12 bar.
Simply the cost 😉 and the gauge on the other side only shows the 1st reg pressure and it’s no problem if it’s not 1 bar accurate. The analogue one works just aswel . The bottle gauge is there to calculate the fancy features and the back one monitors the 2nd reg and that’s the most important one
I'm leaking air from under the pressure gauge. I already put a new one and also an x ring. And the air is still leaking. Where is the problem? Well thank you.
🤔 difficult to say it could be a number of things. There could be some debris in the hole Have you tightened the gauge ? If you over are tightening it to much you compress the X ring to much and it can’t expand properly
I have a problem with this gauge and I tried to contact the company several times but no one answered. It's not a professional way to deal with customers
Yeah I have heard quite a few complaints regarding customer service 🫣 I think some of them like the ones I have work great but some people get unlucky with a few . Where have you bought it ? What’s the problem with it ?
@Airbuks i don't really know. The shop where i purchased it has over 20 of them, and he told me that all leaks. I still took 1 because i wanted to tune my regs. It leaks around 20 bar per day. He contacted sekhmet but they left him with no support. The leak is so small that i couldn't find if it's the connection or the item itself that is leaking. For now, i only use it when i really need to know where my regs are.
@@Airbuks yes when i instal the origininal gauge i have no leaks. All the guys here tried them and they have the same problem whether installing on a maverick or impact
Careful! By removing the bottle, and then operating the rifle, you just voided your warranty....FX Warranty states: NEVER use the gun below the set regulator pressure as damage to the system may occur and will VOID your warranty!
