Heart of the cards phrase aside, there's nothing wrong with trusting your deck to get the right card even though in real life it doesn't always happen. But the most important thing is to have fun when playing the game.

The heart of the cards is a phoney baloney made up by the script writers to ensure Yugi's victory in every duel with the exception of Raphael. Don't kill yourself over it kaiba. Your researching will be of no avail

Tell us you've never clutched with a Top Deck without telling us you've never clutched with a Top Deck. The reason Yugi drew what he needed wasn't cause "Writers Needed him to win" its cause that's what the Fucking Millenium Puzzle Does. In times of Dire Need the puzzle will manipulate fate to give yugi something that will help him. Hell this ability was even used against him by Little Yugi in the final duel when he stopped Monster Reborn with Gold Sarcophagus.

Only on dub. In the sub he acknowledges it but he does not rely on it

Once he acquired Obelisk the Tormentor and learned about the Egyptian God Cards and created Battle City Tournament just so he can face off against Yugu and defeat and humiliate him once and for all and reclaim the Title of Champion and be the World's Greatest Duelest once more
