Kairos is fun but his campaign is tough. You need to deal with Teclis and Oxyotl ad then EVERYONE else. The new DLC makes it a lot easier to deal with and frankly a lot more fun so let's chat why this is.

One of the biggest advantages from the new DLC and 4.0 is the ability to recruit the two new LHs. The thing I found the most tedious in my previous Kairos campaigns was the absolutely atrocious replenishment. Now with Aekold, that shouldn't be a problem, at least on your primary army.

Eh. I never felt that replenishment was that important for Tzeentch. Unlike other factions if you play smart you can pretty much get infinite value out of the barriers. Also he is supposed to be Nurgles rival so it feels thematic for him to lack in what his rival excels at.

@@benderbendingrodriguez6375 yeah, I've always been of the opinion that Tzeentch's awful replenishment was an intentional punishment for not microing units properly and letting damage get past the barriers. if you play them correctly, they shouldn't even take any losses/damage that'd need to be replenished.

The biggest problem for me with Kairos has always been the replenishment. There should be at least some mechanic that can help with increasing it, like Cathay's compass for instance, or Chaos dwarfs various buffs. Because there are in general two types of factions on the campaign map: those who take havy casualties and can recover in 1- 2 turns, then move forward, and those that don't have it and doomed to sit in the settlement for 3-4 turns after each tough battle and wait like an idiot. Unfortunately, Kairos is the latter.

I would probably just make it so that when WoM is high it increases replenishment. More reason to use that system then.

My biggest complaint has always been the magic of Kairos. We can already manipulate the Winds of Magic - yet he cant cast the biggest of spells? Why can Vilitch use the Eye of the Gods to get them and Kairos cant? Of course "balance" comes to mind - but it could be balanced. You need for example to channel the WoM into one region and then "overflow" it. After a set number of turns, in which you can cast those spells the WoM disperse into the other regions and cant be modified for a set number of turns. This would allow better strategic usage than Vilitch with a cooldown system and lower WoM afterwards. Or simply tie it to the "A New God Ascends" Event. Im a total Tzeentch fan but Kairos is really weak compared to Vilitch and now The Changeling... its just sad.

It becomes even worse if you take into consideration that a Tzeentch Daniel now have access to a cataclysm spell if you unlock the challenge parts.

@@GaratghDeloi Damm! I didn't even know that. I've only played Daniel once when he was "new". And that was a very underwhelming experience. Sad to see that such a great and powerful magic user like Kairos is just gimped by the game.

Should be further noted that with the DLC Kairos gets access to cataclysm spells thanks to one of the abilities on the blue scribes (gives 1 random cataclysm spell each turn to the army it's in, once unlocked off course).

I strongly disagree that Nurgle is worse than Tzeentch. Both have horrible start position but with Nurgle, you can at least rush the undead and once they are destroyed the campaign gets way easier. Unlike Tzeentch where you have to defend a huge landmass from 2 powerful factions who can totally melt your armies.

Killing the undead honestly doesn’t make it that much easier. Ogres, chaos dwarves, imrik and cathay all come to chomp on your big gassy bootyhole. I think Kairos being on the fortress of the dawn was way worse, with how he is before 4.0 I’d put them on the same levels. After 4.0 Tzeentch looks absolutely fine.

It's the same with tzeentch. You just need to ignore 1st enemy and beeline straight to teclis. He'll be occupying port on the 2nd turn and you will catch him there with his pants down.

When you take out Teclis (while optionally saving your future bird friend) you can 100% focus on Oxyotl and then it’s smooth sailing usually. With Ku’gath when you defeat Ghorst your game is only getting started.

My campaigns typically have him pushed back up to a certain point, then I often notive that he seems to have a resurgence and retake the entire landmass, then venture up. In terms of playing Tzeentch, much like certain other factions, he's BADLY hurt by having virtually no AP-capable infantry options.

I feel like the big Daemon characters should get some version of the rift system! Maybe tie it to the unholy manifestations? Could even be the 4th stage manifestations - when you complete the bug action, spawns a rift in the target settlement and gives you a rift to place somewhere else on the map.

They didnt threaten anything, i never saw proof of that either. They just said we need to increase the price for various reasons afther trying to keep stable prices for a long time and we can not do it anymore if we want to have the remaining years of support.

Good Question. To pay 25 € to be able to play a legendary lord from the basegame, which cost already 60 €. GG. Free raceupdate wouldn't bring so much income for them.

I appreciate finally getting to listen to Warhammer content that is not just negativity on Shadows of Change. I am so tired of hearing either endless complaints or over the top, extreme responses. There is legitimate criticism to be had but unfortunately a sizable part of our community keeps acting like angry toddlers in their response.

Teclis isn't too difficult to deal with so long as you get to him early. Oxyotls difficulty depends on how much time the Tzeench minor faction to your west survives. I found Tlaqua to actually be the most dangerous and persistent pain once Teclis and Oxyotl are dealt with.

Sure Tzaangors can help early, but yeath the two LH will have a bigger impact in the long run. But on the other hand the update replace 2 of the Changing of Ways by 2 others and more or less doesn't update the cost of the others (which is why they were nearly useless). Imagine playing Kairos supposed to see the future and not being able to see what enemy will do anymore (instead of fixing it). Unholy Manifestations needed an overall and the Wind mechanic will be more transparent (but not more impactful which is where the problem is) from one of CA last posts.

I don't see a lot of value with tzaangors, and the biggest problem with Kairos is not fixed - terrible replenishment. I know new LH could provide replenishment, but this is just for one army, it is not a big deal. Money problems isn't addressed either.

Bestigors by statline and entity count. They are a lot better than shield gors even after price and when the passive is charged they hit as hard as chaos warriors.

Bestigors have more armor than Tzaangors but no shield, Bestigors have more damage (40) while Tzaangors have 30 (but it can increase to 36 whith Arcane Strike), Bestigors have 9200 HP versus 8600 (and a barrier) for Tzaangors. Same melee attack but Tzaangors have 30 melee defense so better than Bestigors (24).

Honestly I’ve felt in 3.1 (currently) that all the deamons factions are kinda meh when played by the AI. Like they feel like they are supposed to be a great danger for the world but they usually die before I see them unless I live on their border. Especially Skarbrand because after AI skarbrand raze the other AI just cap his stuff right away. Should have a similar block as beastmen when he does for like ~5 turns. Nurgle usually dies off screen Slaanesh stay for a while and then get all high elfs on them. Tzenzh/kairos usually dies of screen. The demon factions just feels SO weak! like the mortal chaos factions are way better. :/ I guess you become weaker when you achieve deamonhood. Edit: changing of the ways is WAY to expensive to matter in most campaigns, unless you play the changeling and get drows of grimoar every turn.

What? You people buff critters with Kairos instead of going ham on magic? With the right skill points, he essentially chain casts one spell after another, which makes it very easy to lord snipe fairly squishy enemies like Teclis or Oxy. Blobs also tend to go down pretty fast. And with a certain Cathay dragon running around in Lustria, the Kairos experience is going to end up being even better. I suppose I'll have to do him in with Teclis too, just to see what it's like. And Belakor. Man, so much broken stuff that has to be tried out at some point. 🙂

But in terms of improvements, I'm thinking the cockatrice might be a bigger thing than the gors. They're available early. Get ~4 of them and you have an easy goon squad to kill stuff in melee that it isn't worth it for Kairos to spell blast or to trigger AI blob mode. And because they can fly, they'll keep up with Kairos just fine.

Beat the main campaign with the pre-order dlc Trolls and The no Magic red demon 😈 on (Legendary).... stopped playing when I played KISLEV campaign and was nothing but flashing screens for every other battle... Big Bird 🐦 was lacking in early campaign bad 👎... the Dlc was needed

wow so the 18 month wait to fix the campaign of Kairos did nothing to fix his actual campaign. No income increases no change to replenishment no cult or tech tree upgrades. But wait if you pay 25 dollars you can buy an OP unit and push much easier. Nice to see the increased prices are giving us less

Do you still have to fight Lizardmen for 60-100 turns? Idk in theory Kairos got something, in practice he's still the only Tzeentch lord(Changeling is too op and a horde)

"Overwhelmingly negative about the current situation" This current situation was a long time coming(even if we ignore all their other games & focused solely on wh3) from it's broken/bug ridden launch that took what 4-8months to get in a playable state? To it constantly being bug ridden & as you mentioned before there are bugs that have been out for over a month & a half where it breaks paid characters(you still can't recruit kroxigors as naki) Making empty threats about pulling support from their flagship title,Price gouging it's player base when they used the uk governments VGTR tax relief which which they get 20-80% off their core expenditure for games & it's dlc. I can see you're point about not always wanting to talk about it but this is the best time to keep up the "pressure",If the time isn't now then when? We most likely won't get a change to the prices of this dlc but if it does get big enough they will have to appease the community. I would want them to put more of that 800+ work force they have onto their flagship title to fix the game as much as they can & increase the quality assurances of new patches or content,Hell maybe hire the bug fix modders to help. I love this series but i can't recommend it to any of my buds(outside of game pass) due to all the bugs & especially for co op.

@@Daiciyomon_4594 CA does not care in the slightest what Warhammer 3's Steam reviews say. They care about money. If the DLC sells, the Steam reviews could be the worst in Steam history and they'd keep supporting the game and releasing DLC. If the DLC doesn't sell, they'll can it. Probably without even caring that the reason that it's not selling is that they're grossly overpricing it even after compensating for inflation. Stop pretending CA has feelings and cares if people say mean things about them. They're a corporation. They care about money and internal corporate politics. That is all. Internal corporate politics mean they're shoving resources into the money pit known as Hyenas, and that means they need to squeeze more money from products that people will actually pay for, notably Warhammer 3.

If Wh3 gets canceled, it must be so. The company will close down if not for the communities holding it together. So stand for something and dont be breaking your back trying to keep something alive. I enjoy the game but would be pulling $450 out off my A$$ just to get it. That is our exchange rate.

"Got a LOT better" Unfixed issues: Crappy skill trees Mediocre tech tree (aside from OP Lords of Change) Some pointless Changings of the Ways Useless cults New issues: Changings of The Ways nerfs (Halt faction -> army and Kairos skill to reduce costs now just gives a whole 1 grimoire per point!) Improvements: One new decent early game unit No beef with book here, content is content but still, gotta address the problems.
