"Vice President Harris said during an interview with ABC News' "The View" on Tuesday that "there is not a thing that comes to mind" when asked whether she would've done anything differently than President Biden.
Why it matters: Voters largely disapprove of Biden's handling of issues like inflation, but Harris has benefited from the fact that they don't tend to blame her. Rather than distance herself, though, she has mostly embraced Biden's policies as she runs for the White House.
"I've been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact," Harris said on "The View."
Later in the interview, she said that one of the differences between her and a Biden administration would be having a Republican in the cabinet, a pledge that she has made before on the campaign trail."

To be fair, VPs are lockstepped with the president all the way through his term. Even after Jan. 6th Mike Pense refused to criticize Trump until only just recently. Who cares if she's a shape shifter? Things evolve and change, some policies may work now that might not have worked before, some policies may take a while to implement. I'd rather have a changing Harris to adjust to the changing needs of the American people than have Trump who only does things to benefit his rich buddies and corporations.

I honestly believe the question whether the country is in right direction gets only 28% mainly due to Trump entering political arena. So the 28;% response cannot be weighed the same as when such question were asked pre Trump. Because Trump's entering arena has stoked MASSIVE DIVISIVENESS and put in on national spotlight. On that basis alone, there is no doubt that even if we have a great economy and prosperity the number would not get to even 40%. So take that 28% response with caution but don't be too discouraged
