The Teamsters made waves this election cycle when O’Brien revealed the union of more than one million members would not be endorsing former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris. This is the first time the group has not made a presidential endorsement since 1996."

Meh, Biden did a lot for the Teamsters. And he knows it. Trump has also continuously appointed judges to curtail labor rights, has publicly bragged about not paying overtime and praised Elon and other CEOs for strike busting. O'Brien just doesn't have a point when Trump is on the ballot. Some people I get supporting Trump, even if I disagree, but O'Brien ain't one. If it's about actual policies and what has been done for them, he doesn't have a leg to stand on. If he were consistent he would support Biden and Harris.

So true. TYT is becoming unrecognizable. Ana and Cenk covered this story, omitting all the battleground state teamsters' unions endorsing VP Harris as isolated chapters. That trimester voting process was unsophisticated, and a low count of Teamsters turned out. So, 60% to 40% of participants had skewed participation. And with the individual chapters ending with endorsing VP Harris, I’m skeptical of that 60% for T**** voting. Ana's substack promo sounds destructive. If Ana, in her substack article, is trying to make the Democratic Party do better, Let Dems get the power, then push them, but stop with the sabotage coverage under the umbrella of being “fair.” As for O’Brien, it would not surprise me if some billionaire Republican paid him to hold the endorsement. Thank goodness the the blue-wall teamsters’ chapter, Nevada and California chapters endorsd VP Harris on their own.

Sean from the Teamsters may express his frustration with the Democrats, but it’s difficult to ignore the GOP and Elon openly mocking and laughing in front of millions at how cool it was to fire workers. Additionally let’s not overlook someone blatantly admitting they don’t want to pay overtime when a worker has completed their job. I can’t wrap my head around how anyone can justify this or Sean position as a leader… shaking my head. Question: What are the union’s VALUES if they don’t stand up for the workers in this way? Disagree with the DEMS but this behavior is beyond unacceptable! (not to mention DEMS did secure pensions for workers etc.)

This is the wrong year to express your disappointment by not endorsing anyone. Under Biden's NLRB, things were looking up. It was tangibly better than previous administrations. Why punish them while they're going in the right direction? Do your protest when that turns around and punish the bad behavior, not the good. Do your protest when the alternative isn't a plausible dictator or any of the other catastrophies that Trump presents. This timing doesn't make any sense.

I think this segment lacks something to be said about representative/delivery politics. I'm not a fan of Biden/Harris, but they have done more for unions than anyone in most of our lifetimes. So to turn your back on them sends the wrong message to politicians about delivering anything. It sends a message saying if we deliver for you, and you don't even get credit, just distance and less endorsement, if they find a way to win without you, they would never look your way again.

I'm ultra right wing COnstitutionalist-Libertarianish, and i would LOVE for Teamsters to get together with the Libertarians and Republicans to implement a the BIGGEST STRIKE ever against the biggest corporation of them all....THE US FED CORPORATION (and the fed gov is literally a corporation...research it). A NO TAX DAY on April 15th, to boycott taxes until they RESPECT the fact the Americans dont give them our tax dollars to be MISMANAGED and given to bomb innocent people, nor to give away to illegal immigrants , especially when they got $20 Billion sitting with FEMA and they claim not to have funds to help hurricane relief assistance when thats what it was given to them for!Not using our tax dollars to help American citizens when thats what they tax us for is simply CORRUPT. Where is the all the money they TAXED the American people for - for hurricane relief, for helping the homeless and veterans and American citizens? And with the higher taxes they showuld have done even MORE with it! If they cant account for it they dont deserve to be handling our money then since they aren't responsible with it.

Now, the unions might be our last hope against corportism. We have the illusion that the Democrats are still on the side of the people. Reality has shown us that both parties are the same. The greatness of the rulers of either side is only a myth. It has long been extinct. I believe that not many Teamsters voted. One guy said out of the 4000 member in his area, only 200 turned up to vote. So it is not true that 60 of teamsters voted for Trump.
